CMDR’s, be sure every pilot in your Squadron receives a copy of this report!

My first report as COM, whatcha think? I really liked the old template that CPT Drako had created for me when I first became WC that I decided to create something like it again and just keep things easy and familiar to everyone. ;)

My thanks to CPT Drako for creating the new ISD Intrepid Patch that I have also decided to use as the graphic header for my COM reports! He also has created a new pin for the Intrepid as well, which I will also be forwarding to OPS for permission to be used on the uniforms. Unfortunately the new protocols set by OPS only allow you to place one patch/insignia on the uniform, and it must fit below the FCHG Ribbon. Right now these new patches are only for the Ceremonial Uniform, since they currently only have a black background. If I can remember how to make the background transparent then we may be able to use them on both uniforms. I’ll also be asking CM Tempest if he might be able to help us out with making them available for both uniforms. ;)

Regarding the patches, every Squadron is allowed to have a patch, so most likely only the WC and I will be using the ones provided by CPT Drako. However, if you should decide to use the patch or pin provided by Drako, be sure you have it properly placed, and that goes for any other patches as well. :P

A lot of activity on the Intrepid recently, and I am very happy to be able to report that! CM Tissaya Argat has informed me that her pilots are sending her a ton of BSF’s in preparation of the db being back online soon. At least we hope it will be very soon! :P

Right now the Intrepid stands with a total of 57 pilots, including Flag Officers! Recruiting continues in nearly every Squadron, and I have been informed that Cobra has every intention of giving Diamondback a run for their unofficial “Elite” title! Great work Cobra, and I hope to see the other Squadrons taking point as well and going for this same challenge!

Over the next week COL Duncan Idaho and I will be discussing a number of key details regarding operations within Wing XIV. CMDR’s I’m sure you can expect to see a number of emails this week from COL Idaho as he begins to inform you of what he expects. Remember, those reports are still due in by Friday’s, unless you have received permission from the WC to submit them on Saturday’s.

At this time I am missing MSE’s from the following Squadrons: Cobra and Copperhead. If you’ve sent them then please resend them ASAP so that I can get the Wing and COM evaluations done and processed to the BGCOM!

A reminder to everyone serving on the ISD Intrepid that communication is a vital tool to being active and involved. Everything we do is through email, IRC, message boards, and through databases. Therefore reading and responding to emails in a timely manner is essential in order to be active and up-to-date on all news and information. If you don’t presently have IRC, then I suggest you go to www.mirc.com and download the newest version right now. The software is free and extremely easy and quick to install. So realistically no one has a real excuse for failing to appear on IRC in the #wingxiv channel at least once a week. As for the message boards, go to www.ehnet.org/mb and create yourself an account if you don’t already have one. Again, it is quick and easy to do, and then you’ll be able to post on all of the EH Message Boards. A lot of important topics are posted on these MB’s, so you should take advantage of this valuable resourse. Lastly, it is important for every member of Wing XIV to respond when required to all emails. If your CMDR sends out an AWOL notice or a report requiring a response, then provide one and do it within 24-48 hours of receiving it. Even if it is to say you disagree or just don’t care at least you’ve taken the time to reply. :P

Reports are a primary form for CMDR’s, Flag Officers, and Command Staff members to get vital information and news out to everyone in a fast and efficient manner. Too many times while I was a CMDR or WC I had pilots come to me and ask questions that were usually already answered in a recent report, clearly showing that many do not take the time to read the reports and find out what is contained in those reports. So take the time to read them thoroughly before you hit that DELETE button! :P

Applications for the Wing XIII WC position have stopped. A new WC has been chosen, but has not yet been announced.

RA Ekim Yellek has resigned as the COM of the ISD Vanguard. The VanCOM position is now open for applications and are to be submitted to VA Darksaber (darksaber@ehnet.org) and LC E. Tarkin (erik@e-sjop.nl)!

Saturday was RA Khameir Sarin’s RL birthday. On behalf of the ISD Intrepid I want to wish Sarin a happy belated birthday! I sure hope your Army buddies took you out and got you properly snookered last night! Hehehe

CPT Verr has been promoted to CMDR of Python Squadron! Congratulations!!

VA Darksaber was awarded the Silver Star of the Empire for his work with the Tactical Office! Congrats to the BGCOM!! J

TC Meeting Notes and Highlights

A number of items this week from across the TIE Corps, so without any further delay here are the highlights from the 11-03-02 TC Meeting!

General News:

1. If you are a Winamp user you might want to check out http://64.251.66.48:8000 where the testing for the new Hammer Radio station is now underway!

COO News:

1. This Saturday try to attend the OuterRim Wars in #OuterRim on IRC! It will start at 2 PM EST (7 PM GMT). The more attendance and participation the better the EH is likely to do in this competition!
2. The Minos War Competition between the EH and VE begins 11/4/02 and will run from 1 PM to 10 PM EST in #EHCOC on IRC!
3. A new MP Academy is in the works for the EH! The idea was presented by LCM Slawter Thren and is now being worked on by the COO and his staff. More info will be available as this project continues, but so far it sounds like a great idea! J

IO News:

1. The IO Office has received over 200 new Avatars to be used on the Message Boards! They are asking for more, but they must be of a SW/EH theme. If you have an avatar you wish to send in then submit it to the IO at io@absolutek.ca!

TO News:

1. Two News IWATS Courses are pending approval at this time!
2. The Professors for the RT and XTT Courses have been decided and will be announced soon!

FO News:

1. AD Cyric is the new CA:FO!
2. FO Report will be out shortly listing what duties AD Cyric will be fulfilling.
3. FO Report will announce other information pertaining to the new CA:FO and the TC in general.

SO News:

1. SO wanted to remind everyone that they should refrain from stepping on the toes of people in other positions.
2. Follow all AoW’s, CoC’s and EH Bylaws. If you don’t know them, then it is up to you to take the time to learn them.

OPS News:

1. No database yet, once the database comes up each ship will be assigned days to begin awarding medals.
2. Uniform patches. CM Tempest has been put in charge of uniform patches and will be approving them. So if you have a new patch for your Squadron submit them to CM Tempest for approval, but CC OPS as well when you do submit them. They must be small, and they must be able to fit under the FCHG bar on both the Ceremonial and Duty uniforms. Only one patch per uniform will be allowed in order to prevent the clutter and will prevent the uniforms from becoming “ugly”. :P

TAC News:

1. The TAC Office currently has open TCS/TCT Positions. They currently need 3 testers and 2 engineers. If interested go to the Mission Creation MB to read the requirements for each position.
2. The TAC Office is encouraging Mission Designers to create new battles and missions to help advertise your Squadron and/or Ship.
