This weeks report is out early because I'll be leaving for a trip out of state right after I get off work Friday. Therefore LC Tissaya Argat has the helm until I return. Any issues requiring the COMs direct attention should be held until Monday since I won't be returning back from my trip until late Sunday night. Most likely I won't even have time to check my email while I'm away since my buddy Mike only uses dial-up and most often his conn sucks major Wookie "you know what". :P
I'd like to formally welcome SL's Birch Sullivan and Lascaris to the ISD-II Intrepid! They have chosen to begin their illustrious EH careers on the best Ship in the Fleet. Be sure to give them a warm welcome whenever you see them!! :)
Welcome to LCM Fallien Skull who joins us and now serves in Viper Squadron! I'm confident you'll make an excellent addition to our crew!! :)
We currently have a MP Marathon Competition running against the ISD Immortal. VA RogueWing and I are putting together a friendly match where we'll each pilot our respective ISDs. No word yet on when this will take place, but as soon as we work out the details I'm sure we'll face-off in combat and I'll inform everyone on the outcome. In the meantime I have to decide on which 3 Squadrons will fly support for the Int during the engagement. The first three CMDRs to speak up will have their Squadrons represented in this match. Any takers? ;)
The competitions to find a new Banner and Report GFX for the Intrepid end this Saturday. So far I only have a few submissions for both, and I'm sure there are are other GFX inclined personnel on this ship. Shiny new medals to the winners. Details below in the "Competition" section!
Btw, did I happen to mention that the Intrepid swept the awards for the ASF Run-On Competition? Congrats to CPT Blade for winning 1st place, CM Aragorn for 2nd, and your own COM rounded out the 3rd place position! Once again the Intrepid proved it can dominant in yet another competition! Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen!! ;)
CPT Drako, I need an status check on the updates to the Int/Wing XIV site as soon as possible. The deadline is steadfastly approaching and I need to inform the BGCOM and FO when the modifications are complete. Please inform the WC and I on this issue as soon as you can. Thanks. ;)
Congrats to LCM Sabbath on his recent promotion to Commander! Sorry for the delay in providing public congrats from the COM, I've been swamped with RL work related matters for several weeks now. This was a well deserved promotion, continue doing your best and I'm sure we'll see some more promotions and advancement opportunities for you in the future!
Also congrats to LT Yukito who's dedicated service and contributions were rewarded recently with a promotion to Lieutenant Commander! :)
I've been informed that CPT Gistenjunge will be stepping down from his CMDR position in early March. I'm also informed that he may accepting an open position within Tau Squadron. Gist, you've served the Intrepid proudly and honorably for a long time, it'll be a shame to lose you to Tau. But if history is truly a worthy barometer, it is certain that you will return. Until then know that you are always welcome to visit and when you're ready to return the hatch will be open for your arrival! :)
Today an old Int pilot requested a transfer from the Reserves back to the Intrepid. LC Timbal has once again donned his TC uniform and gathered his flight gear to support his favorite ISD. He is currently enroute by shuttle to the Intrepid from the M/FRG Phoenix, and is awaiting his assignment orders from the FO. My thanks to the BGCOM for his efforts in contacting this lost pilot and convincing him to return home! :)
CPT Derek Dan has uploaded updates to his CitBOARD which can be found at http://ddsoft.minos.net. CMDRs if you haven't yet downloaded this tool I recommend you do so immediately since it offers a very streamlined method for tracking Battle Citations and for providing your pilots with the necessary info to quickly gain more for your Squadrons.
This week I was informed that a long standing pilot in Diamondback will be hitching a ride to the M/FRG Phoenix for a while. CM Arti has served both Db and Wing XIV with distinction and his transfer will be greatly felt by all that have known him. Arti I wish you much luck in your future endeavors and a speedy return should your situation allow for it. Stay in contact old friend and check in on us from time to time. ;)
10 More Patches for XvT (re)Released!

For XvT: The E-W, A/X-W, SPEC and PHX have been updated while the T/e1, T/A(ssault), V-38 (Sentinel/Shadow), I-7, M-CRV, GSP and TIE Drone are new releases all together. New features are again that they no longer replace existing craft, all have .bat installers and their own OPTs and stats.

10 New Patches for TIE Fighter ('95) Released

I've made new patches for TIE95 to level it with the new releases for XvT. This means you can now have the TIE Vanguard, TIE Drone, TIE Assault, TIE Protector, K-Wing, I-7 Howlrunner, Spectre Advanced Missileboat, TIE Experimental Mk.1 and TIE Sentinel\Shadow in TIE'95 as well... And I added the TIE Phantom (Mk.1) already to TIE'95.

The Internet Office is pleased to announce the release of the SquadFirst Squadron Homepage Template, coded by our very own Alex Foley. After a little bit of delay, we've finally worked out all the bugs (we think) and you can now download the package, complete with full instructions at http://squadfirst.minos.net. If you find any bugs, please report them to FA Ari.
On a related note, the Internet Office is deeply sorry to see IOA Alex Foley resign this week due to lack of time available for IO matters. He served the IO loyally, and went from a simple HTML coder to a skilled PHP coder in months within the IO. He will be missed by the entire staff.

I've updated the older patches for TIE95 to add
amongst others custom OPTs (The craft now actually look like they supposed to)
and custom names in-flight. This has been done already to the A-9
Vigilance, Cloakshaped Fighter, TIE Dragon, TIE Phantom
Mk.2 and TIE Scimitar, the TIE-IW patches will be next.
Besides
these, I've also released the new Cloakshaped Fighter patch for XvT. :)

Medals to be Awarded: If someone gets an Image of the Month, he/she gets an IS-GR. If someone gets a 1st Runner up, he/she gets an IS-SR. If someone gets a 2nd Runner Up, he/she gets an IS-BR.
Cobra Ace of the Month - This will last the entire month . At the end of each week I will see who's earned the most FCHG points for that week. #1) gets 4 points, #2)3 pts, #3)2 pts and #4)1 pt. After the month is complete all the points from each week will be totaled and the winner will receive an Iron Star-Bronze WINGS.

One must be flown till the middle of the month, the other will be accepted till the end(Ill say which should be flown till midmonth). Each pilot who submits the battle will get #missions-of-the-battle divided by 2(round up points, the one with the highest score will get #missions-of-the-battle points. If you get a battle-highscore you will get #missions multiplied with 1.5(rounded up) points. Pilot with most points win.

Viper Top Ace Comp - MP part All MP matches will count, #ehcoc, WoW, ORW2 or whatever. Every won match will count 2points, every tie 1.5points, every loss 1point. A DFC is worth 5points. Only the matches in your profile count(exceptions are WoW not awarded WoW matches, coz you can find the stats at BSC). If matches are awarded too late, they will count for the month in which they are awarded. Pilot with most points win.

Intrepid Custom Banner Competition! The Intrepid needs a new banner for the TC Roster. All pilots are encouraged to demonstrate their GFX abilities and create the Intrepid a new banner that illustrates our glory, activity, and most of all uses either our new Nick or Motto, or both.

Intrepid vs. Immortal MP Marathon The ISD Intrepid and ISD Immortal will face off in a two week MP marathon where pilots from each Ship will setup and fly 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Matches must be made up of pilots from both Ships, and ALL matches must be reported to RA Wil Striker (wilstriker@kc.rr.com) and VA RogueWing (roguewing25@yahoo.com). Awards will be given for the Top Pilot and Runner-up in the 1v1 and 2v2 categories. Matches may be flown during authorized EH MP Competitions as listed on the Combat Operations Calendar, or at other times agreed upon by pilots from both sides.

Intrepid Going Back to Basics Competition! Each week one of the six XvT Single Player Training Missions will be assigned to the Intrepid pilots to fly. They will submit a custom pilot file to the COM by the deadline given and the Top 1st and 2nd place pilots will be awarded medals for their performance. At the end of the six week basic training cycle the pilot that has won the most 1st place victories will be awarded an IS-SW! The purpose of this competition is to bring back the basics of SP flying and help increase the Intrepid's battle readiness and combat effectiveness!

Intrepid Fiction for a Battle Competition! The COM and Wing XIV Commander are seeking new storylines to adapt as plotlines for custom battles to be added to the EH Battle Center. Fiction should be restricted to the Intrepid and/or the ASF in general. Use of other EH authorized Ships is permitted provided they are only background and not the primary component of the story. Fiction should be a minimum of 10 pages in length.
