Greetings Intrepid, and welcome to a new report!!

RA Wil Striker began his usual stroll through the many corridors and other areas of his mighty star destroyer. Everywhere he went his crew were busy with various activities, each doing their part to keep the Int running smoothly and ready for battle at a moments notice. Upon entering the bridge he was suddenly overwhelmed by the sounds from the battle alarms. A very young looking lieutenant ran up to the COM and announced that a New Republic task force had just hypered into the area, clearly an intrusion into EH space. All weapons were armed and the NR were already beginning to launch fighters. However the fact that they were more than 200 klicks away meant that it would take the enemy still quite a while to reach the Intrepid.

Striker ordered Asp Squadron into action, clearly ready to see what the NR would think when a full Squadron of TIE Phantoms suddenly decloaked on top of their fighters. It would be short work of the enemy fighters and then the Intrepid would move in for the kill. Taking down an MC-90 would be a good days work.

From now on I'm going to add a bit of fiction to my weekly reports and I invite anyone to add to the plotline. MAJ Tissaya Argat and I plan to work together to create some plotlines and battles featuring the Int and her gallant Squadrons. The more involvement we have from everyone on the Intrepid the better the battles can be. Therefore if you have anything to add feel free to send me you additions. ;)

The SC has officially ended! Although we had the smaller numbers, the overall activity brought forward by the majority of the Intrepid crew demonstrated once again why the Intrepid is the Best Ship in the Emperor's Hammer! The final results are currently be tallied by the BGCOM, but I am confident that the Intrepid has once again proven triumphant and will be declared the victor for the 2nd straight SC! No matter the final outcome I want to personally thank the BGCOM and the entire ASF for a great ASF-SC V and I personally look forward to many more ASF competitions! Congratulations to everyone in the ASF that participated in the SC V, you were all winners!! :)

The ASF-SC V has ended, but not the BGCOM's desire to keep his pilots busy and entertained with competitions! Today he announced the beginning of the "Xunami Wings - Flying" competition for the ASF! Check the Competitions section below for more details! :)

Last week I announced a short Ship competition to acquire a new Nick/Motto for the Intrepid. Strangely enough only one pilot has submitted anything to me for the comp. Therefore since I stated that the comp would end on 2/3/2003, if I fail to receive any further entries I will simply award the medal(s) to the pilot who has submitted entries. His suggestion for a new Nick is very good, and the Motto he suggested gives me a good idea to work with. If anyone has anything they would like to suggest please submit them within the next 24 hours!

A new month is upon us, and with that new month new opportunities for promotions and medals! CMDR's are submitting their MSE's as required, and the WC and I will be reviewing officers for possible promotions this week. To all LCM's who are FM's are considering further rank advancements you should contact your CMDR about possible future service as a FL in your Squadron. Sometimes it is likely that a current FL may be willing to step aside to allow a younger pilot the opportunity to advance and gain more experience for future command positions. ;)

The TAC has launched the largest competition ever yet sponsored by the Tactical Office! Please go check out the details at http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=241!

CM Chris Cox has notified the WC and COM that he will be on a short LOA this week. Therefore starting Monday until Friday LT Yukito will be the A-CMDR of Asp Squadron. All pilot files can be held until Cox' return or submitted to the WC.

Btw, there is currently an open FL position within Asp Squadron for Flight II. Any LT or higher interested in filling such a position should contact CM Cox and provide some details on how you can help enhance Asp if you are selected as the new FL. ;)

Welcome MAJ Exar Khaland to the ISD-II Intrepid! He transferred over from the Grey Wolf this past week and was appointed as the new FL in Viper Squadron! Welcome aboard Exar!! :)

Congratulations to MAJ Tissaya Argat on completing her second month as WC! Tissy has done very well as the WC of Wing XIV, and together we have many things planned to help boost the Intrepid's place in the Fleet! Although being #1 doesn't leave much room for advancement does it? LOL

Congrats to CM Gistenjunge on breaking 300 on his Combat Rating this past week! I have already submitted the request for his shiny new Bronze Star, so he can expect that to arrive very soon! Way to go Gist!! :)

Once again congrats to MAJ Tissaya Argat. This past Friday her newest battle, XvT-DB #8 was released and is now available to fly on the EH Battle Center! Great job Tissy!! :)

Congrats to LCM Justin for creating XWA-TC #33! This battle was also released this past week and is also available for download from the EH Battle Center! Excellent work Justin, I can't wait to fly it! ;)

The Squadron vs. Squadron comp between Asp and Viper ended with Viper Squadron rising as the victors! Congrats to Viper Squadron, and special congrats to CM Gistenjunge for having the highest score in the competition!

Last week I informed everyone that I was awaiting a response from CPT Drako regarding the status of updating our current Int/Wing14 website. Unfortunately the response I received back was less than what I had expected, so now I'm forced to take steps to resolve this problem. Anyone that has the experience and skills to create us a new site equal or better than what we currently have is encouraged to contact me ASAP to discuss ideas and plans to generate a new website. If I fail to receive a response by this Tuesday I will then contact the Corporate Division and see if they will be able to offer some assistance to us in this matter.

The January segment of the Cobra Squadron Ace competition has ended with LT Nova Killer being declared the #1 pilot over his fellow squadmates! Excellent work Nova, I can't wait to see what you accomplish in February. Congrats as well to CM Kettch who finished in 2nd place and CM Blade who finished in 3rd place! :)

TC Homepage Standards - Update
08:29 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
It seems some people need clarification on this: Squadron, Wing/Ship and Battlegroup websites are mandatory. If you are a CMDR+, then it's your responsibility to make sure these pages are in place and meet the requirements. This doesn't mean you have to make the pages yourself - there are plenty of people in the EH that can do this for you. Whether you make the pages or not, they remain your responsibility.

These requirements have not be brought in to make your life more difficult. They are there so that TIE Corps sites meet a high level of standard. A Cadet is more likely to consider joining your Squadron if the page has all the correct information and is regularly updated.
