WING COMMANDER'S CORNER

Good week this week, numbers are up but activity is down from last week. Welcome aboard GN Drake and LCM Miack who to say the least are 2 of the strangest EH members... Congrats to CM Kadon Bier who is the new Iota CMDR, i'm expecting big things from a officer of Kadons potental.

The CSL restarts! With a new team the Bratpack (me and gunny) I see this as a warm up for the flying stages of the ECR so fly TIE-FREE 134 by Sunday or i'll set Miack the goat on you.

- PoTw is CM Andrelious J. Inajh for the 2nd week running, and the Runner up is LT Daniel Russel who'll recieve a IS-BW (he flew less than Rondo but he passed 3 IWAT's)

- SoTw is Nu Squadron for the 2nd week running, come on guys!

- LC Angel and CM Mach Blader return from leave

- MAJ Ace leaves Omicron for Avenger

- LCM Aero Slasher leaves Omicron for RSV's.

Network maintenance

The hosting company will be performing maintenance works on Sunday August 22. The works will start at 11:59pm CDT and will take about 3 hours to complete. Some issues with accessing the TIE Corps site may be experienced during this period.

Commendations of Loyalty

Today, August 21st, is the FC's Birthday, so that means, Awards! The Commendation of Loyalty is awarded all members of the Emperor's Hammer by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer who have displayed tremendous dedication to the Fleet.

For the TIE Corps:
Each squadron commander can send any number of recommendations for awards to their respective Wing Commander. The Wing Commander chooses three (3) awards. Then these recommendations are forwarded up the chain of command to the respective Commodores and Battlegroup Commanders, making any possible corrections. Then the Battlegroup Commander collects the recommendations for his Battlegroup, and emails them to the Operations Officer, CC'ing the Flight Officer. Also, each Battlegroup Commander has the discretion to award a maximum of three (3) awards to his Flag Officers.

For elite squadrons (Avenger, Praetorian, Tau, and Omega), the commander can recommend up to one (1) award to their Battlegroup Commander (Omega - SovCOM; Avenger - ASF BGCOM), in the case of Praetorian and Tau Squadron, the CMDR will directly email the Operations Officer, also CC'ing the Flight Officer.

For the Dark Brotherhood:
Each Clan Consul will have the ability to recommend up to three (3) members from their clan to the Chancellor of the Brotherhood and the Grand Master. The Grand Master will also have a special discretionary award up to a maximum of five (5) awards. These final recommendations will be sent by the Grand Master to the Operations Officer.

Other Subgroups:
Each Subgroup (other than the Brotherhood) will have the opportunity to recommend a maximum of ten (10) awards. These will be sent directly to the Operations Officer.

Command Staff/Advisors:
Each CO will be allowed a small indeterminate level of awarding, to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. These recommendations also go to the Operations Officer.

ALL recommendations must have the subject heading: "CoL Recommendations" or they will be ignored.

Recomendations are due September 4th, 2004, at Midnight Eastern Standard Time. No late awards will be accepted.

Admiral Khadgar has access to awarding LoCs and access to the COO 24/7 LoC website. He will be able to award and LoCs that you desperately need on your profile. See everyone in a week.

Wing VIII Design a trophy competition :-
End Date - 9/1/2004
AIM - A graphics competition in which the aim is to produce a trohpy for the squadron of the month of Wing VII, the trophy will be kept on the winning squadrons website if they win. No specific sizes on the graphic, however common sense is applied (don't make it to small to see or to large to fit on a page)

Aero Slasher leaves.. you guys need to recruit!

Iota :
Congrats to Kadon on his promotion to CMDR, I think we'll be seeing big things from Iota in the future.

Eta :
Good from Eta but its looking likely they will end up 2nd in the SoM.
