TIE Corps News:

Fleet Medical Corps has a new Manual!
15:27 - RA Jedi Eclipse [eh_jedieclipse@fastmail.fm]
I have released the FMC Manual Version 3.0,
In this version I have re-written many chapters and added quite a few sections to help everyone better understand the FMC and its purpose, a question that many, including Command Staff have asked before. With this release I will be re-writing the courses to better reflect the new manual, there will be revisions throughout the next month or so on the manual again (facelift and some additions).http://www.minos.net/~fmc/FMC

50,000 Medals!
14:34 - AD Alex Foley [ops@emperorshammer.org]
It came to my attention today that the Tie Corps has officially passed the 50,000 medals mark! Since this database has been kept, exactly 50,302 medals have been awarded. Congratulations to everyone! See the Medal Board for more interesting

Squadron Summer League about to begin
15:33 - FA Cyric [jroscoe@comcast.net]
This year's Summer Patrol begins today and is open to the fleet! What's the Summer Patrol? Well, like last year's patrol (which was a Sovereign only competition) it consists of a weekly patrol of missions and battles to choose from that lasts 8 weeks long. Pilots are free to sign up by flying a battle or set of missions and submitting them to the moderators.
Sounds easy, right? Last year we saw a large group of pilots participate in this patrol but only a handful survived on the last week. Those who do not submit their pilot files for a week are automatically dropped out and the patrol continues on without them.

Those who do survive this patrol of weekly flying are awarded the Iron-Star Gold Wing.

This week's patrol starts off fairly easy. Your objective is to fly one of any of the 15 battles below. Each of these battles is four missions long. Next week may be a little more demanding.

**See comp section on which battles to fly!**

Flight Leaders in the Tie Corps
15:16 - FA Cyric [jroscoe@comcast.net]
Many of you in the TC looking for advancement need only look to the TC Rosters to see that there are many FL positions available. These positions are seen as the first step towards gaining a Commandership in the TC. Prove yourselves with a Flight and you may soon get a squadron of your own! If you have ambition and drive, and can run a Flight, look through the rosters and find an empty FL slot, then contact the Commander of the Flight. Apply adn make sure that your current commander is aware of your intentions to further your career in the TC. Flight leaders are important, because without them, new SL's don't get placed in the squadrons. Further more, active FL's are more likely to get noticed by commanders and WC's for other positions.

If you think you have what it takes, look around and inquire. You are not restricted to your current wings, or ships for this, however, look within your current BG first as you may find a position close to home :)

Ship/Wing Wide:
Beat the New WC comp!
Fly XWA Free 61, and beat 10,390. There has been a change of plans. The new TO did not approve the comp as it was, so I had to put it for IS-SW to highest scorer, and IS-BW to 2nd and 3rd. But to qualify, you need to beat my score. Sorry about that. But, even if you do not win, participation in comps makes you look good, and if more appreciated come MSE/MWE time....

Closing Comment:

Well, I hope you like the style of the report. It is my 4th differnt one. 1 as A-CMDR for Krayt, 2 in Viper's 70 reports, and then this one. Of course, this one is my favorite -- Also because it took a long time to do all the colors, so I hope you can see them :P

Also, check out this site. COL Frodo showed it to me. Very catchy song :P
