- WING NEWS -

Hello everyone,
Tomorrow is the deadline of the Beer Cup! If you haven't done so yet, fly at least one of the three battles for this competition and send your pilot file to VA Frodo ( fcjt914@yahoo.ca ) CCing your direct superior. Also, do not forget that if you fly two battles or, even better, if you complete all three combat battles there will be a nice gift for you and the squadron that will submit most pilot files for the Beer Cup will be the WC's Own for the month of December.

I'm very happy to announce that a fresh Sub-Lieutenant coming from Platform Daedalus has joined our Wing few days ago. SL Crush has been assigned to Krayt squadron Flight 3, give him a warm welcome and try not to hurt him too much with your "noob" jokes ;-)  Moreover, CM Ace returned to Diamondback squadron in his old 1-2 position, glad to see you back to the Intrepid! Unfortunately our numbers are steady at 43 because SL Pralg has been AWOLed and CPT Drako transferred to Reserves to become a full-time Internet Office Assistant (or IOA if you prefer).

The last of the medals for October MSE has been finally awarded, congratulations to CPT SavageAz on his very well deserved Bronze Star of the Empire, the 4th BS in a row if I remember correctly! Sorry for the delay, just talk to me next time we meet on IRC and I'll explain you everything ;-)

Single Player activity level has been average during the past week, with some pilots who completed many combat missions and some pilots who didn't fly at all. Remember you don't have to fly 100 missions in a month to receive a medal or to be promoted, even 2 battles at week for a month qualify you for a ISM or PC! Anyway, the WC's Commendation this time goes to MAJ CrimsonFury, LCM Arid Foxtrot and LCM Starburst. Keep up the good work, guys!

Multiplayer activity is still low but I'm not going to give up. Multiplayer combat isn't hard, ok it's harder than flying SP but it's not THAT hard. Of course if you have never flown MP before you shouldn't be surprised if you badly lose all matches at the beginning, that's pretty normal. When I started to play XvT/XWA online I usually lost every match 22:5 or something like that (I'm not joking) but after some weeks of practice I began to win matches and now, as you can see below, I have 87 CR points. If I've done it everyone can do it as well, so give MP a try...cya in #ehcoc!

Before to continue with TC news I wish to remind you all of  the Intrepid Link Banner competition. My gfx contest will end next week and so far I received submissions only from 3 pilots. They were all good submissions but I'd like to see more gfx in my mailbox :-)

Oh yes, and it's MSE time. Be sure to inform your CMDR about any special activity he may not be aware of, CMDRs be sure to send me your reports within 2nd December. That is all for this week, have fun, stay active and kick some rebel butts!

TCCOM's OWN

I have selected my very first TCCOM's OWN! This wing has been extremely active over the course of several months. They have flown, they have been a cohesive unit within the TC, and above all, they took the bull by the horns and recruited their butts off to have the most amount of pilots in a TC WING. Above all, each and every member in this wing is active to some degree and is a great example of what the TC and the EH as a whole represents: Teamwork, dedication,devotion, and having fun. For this I award WING XIII of the ISD GREYWOLF the honor of TCCOM'S OWN! Congrats pilots, you've earned it!


ATF BGCOM Promoted

I have the honor and privilege to announce the promotion of the ATF BGCOM, VA Khaen. VA Khaen has served as ATF BGCOM for over 7 months. He had the very difficult task of rebuilding, and keeping the ATF in order during the rDB incident. Since then, the ATF has become a very active group, with monthly comps such as the BJ COMP (That's BG Judgment Comp) and managed to bring in new people to the group. This promotion is a long time in coming and very much well deserved. So without further ado, VA Khaen is from this point on granted the rank and privileges of Full Admiral. Congrats AD Khaen!



- COMPETITIONS REPORT -

2003 Beer Cup:
Start Date: 11/1/2003 
End Date: 11/30/2003 
Parties Involved: Intrepid, Vanguard and Sovereign 

Missions/Battles Used: TIE TC 211, XvT TC 75 and XWA TC 24

Medals to be Awarded: IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW to the top three pilots on each side, in each division.

Details: Sovereign vs Vanguard + Intrepid in TIE, XvT and XWA single-player battles. Top 30 pilot files on each side count toward the results in each division. Overall score of these top 30 scores per division determines the winner(s). Note: XvT division is Top 15 files. TIE scoring is laserless. Time of the comp: Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. Medals: The usual, IS-GW, IS-SW, IS-BW to top three in each division on each side. If you can only fly one or two battles, its fine! Just fly as many of them as you can! Participation is the key, and if you can, of course, go for the HS! Send all the Pilot files to COM Frodo and your Squadron Commander. CMDRs, send it to me and Frodo.
