- WING NEWS -

Greetings pilots!
Official results of the Beer Cup are out, check them out HERE. The Intrepid and the Vanguard won XvT and XWA divisions while the Sovereign Wings won the TIE Fighter division. Anyway, since the TIE battle offered much more points that the XvT and XWA battles this has to be considered like a split victory so congratulations to every pilot who participated in this competition!

This week I also picked my first WC's Own, thanks to their good participation in the Beer Cup and the very good scores they submitted I award the title of WC's Own for the month of December to Diamondback Squadron. It must be noted that the most active squadron was Krayt, still there were some "problems" with pilot files so officially both Diamondback and Krayt submitted the same number of files but Diamondback got better scores, here's the reason of my decision. Anyway, Krayt (as well as any other squadron) will have their chance for revenge soon as I plan to run a WC's Own every month.

The Intrepid Link Banner gfx contest is also over and the winner is Major Justin of Viper squadron and the runner up is none else than our Commodore, VA Frodo. Congratulations both, your Imperial Stars are on the way.

Unfortunately two more members left us, LT Vekyata has been AWOLed and CM Aragorn transferred to Reserves to take a pause from the starfighter pilot life. Moreover, Major Anasazi will join the M/FRG Phoenix soon to focus on other Emperor's Hammer subgroups and this means that position of Asp Squadron Commander is open for applications. I'll post all the necessary and preferred requirements shortly after this report so take a look to the Wing forum. Anyway, it's good to know all my pilots are active but a few more members won't hurt for sure. It's for this reason that I ask you all to spend sometime into recruitment activities, you may find new pilots for your squadron and be rewarded for that. Take example from LCM Foxtrot who received a Medal of Instruction for helping LT Crush during his Training on Daedalus :-)

So congratulations to Crush for his quick promotion to the rank of Lieutenant and congratulations to LT S 4patas for receiving the Commendation of Bravery, keep up the good work. Single player activity keeps to be high and the most active pilots were CM Shikie (Cobra) and CrimsonFury (Krayt CMDR), Crimmy also won two MP matches at the Liberty Wars XWA competition. To these two valiant pilots goes the WC Commendation of the week and the usual bottle of Corellian red wine directly from the WC's cantina.

Some news about the upcoming Supremacy Competition VI. BGCOM Darksaber wanted to start it in February but some people complained about January being a better month, that SC has traditions etc etc... Anyway, there's a poll on the ASF forum about this Jan/Feb thingy (hehe, I guess it takes some patience to be BGCOM) where you all can leave your 2 cents.

EH Census: Update

So far I'd like to state that the Logistics Staff has been very pleased with the response we've gotten thusfar from the EH Census project.
With that in mind I'd like to remind everyone that new questions are still being added periodically and that we'd greatly appreciate it if participants could make an effort to try to login at least once per week until the Census has been completed.
This will allow all members to answer questions that have been added since they initially took the Census. Already I know we've added around 10-15 questions in various areas, and more are still coming as support for the Census grows and more officers request questions added.
If anyone knows a question that should be added, please email the Logistics Officer with your questions so we can evaluate and add them as needed.
Again, thank you all for making this project a success!
