Yeehaaa! We have the beta, and even an update, now if we could just manage to get all these crashing bugs under control so that one could actually play the game. I recommend everyone to try out the asteroid testing mission, that one doesn't seem to crash and it's fun to dodge the asteroids at high speed. Of course after that's done go back to finding out what causing the other missions to crash. ;)

Beta released... and updated!
Yes, we have the beta. You have all received information on how to get at it. Remember each version is personalized, so be careful with the info, the release can be tracked.
There is however no need to hide the update behind passwords and whatnot since it's of no use for anyone else, so in case anyone missed it here's the link to the update: http://www.boklista.se/down/IA_Update1.zip
 
 
Screenshoot competiton
So far I have only received screenshots from Conjre, Clarg and Dulcatos. I want screenshots for each and everyone of you. It's simple, just press the "Prt Scr" button during game play and a screenshot will be generated in your IA dir.
Not only do I want to see what cool things you have found in the beta but the screens will also confirm that you got the game up and running and it'll show me that you're active. So get me those screens, deadline is on Sunday!!!
Sav is excused since he has problems running the game, but the rest of you, get screening!

BG Meetings
The second meeting was even better than the first one. I got to rubb the fact that we where playing IA while no one else could in everyones face! ;)
 
DETAILS
Weekly BG meeting in #TCBG on IRC each Sunday at 11:00 pm GMT (6:00 pm EST). Attendance is not mandatory in any ways but it might be a good way to get a feeling of what's happening in the BG and get to know pilots from other ships.
After the meeting there'll be trivia with medals awarded to the winners.

A big congratulations to our CMDR, LC Mark on his PC for his involvement in the first phase of Imperial Alliance (which ended with the release of the beta)!
Also well done LT Clarg, CM Dulcatos, MAJ Sav and LCM Nutrientman on receiving a ISM for the proofreading! Nice work guys :)
 
 
The Status of the ISD Immortal
The beta is out and we have begun testing, life couldn't be any better... well perhaps it could but not much ;)
Our top priority is to find and figure out the cause of crashing bugs. As it is now the game crashes way too much for it to be released to the general masses. Before we can even consider going open beta we will have to deal with these bugs.
Our second to top priority is to find out any other bugs like interface bugs or a faulty fire point or ships exploding randomly or whatever.
Thirdly, but important non the less, is to help fine-tune the stats. As it is now most things have pretty much the same stats, that's not acceptable. We need to find the real stats everything is supposed to have (like how long it takes to make a 360 degree turn, time between firing etc etc) and report them so that Den and the others can implement them properly.
 
All reporting is being done on our message board. I have posted special instructions on how to report a crashing bug and a interface bug, please read those two threads and follow the info in them. It'll make our life much easier.
