New Praetorian Commander Selected

After careful consideration by myself and AD Mordann, Please Congratulate CPT Gelton Torr for becoming the new Praetorian Commander.

We expect big things from Cpt Torr and hopes he carries on where he left off as Prae XO.

Custom Uniforms

I've talked about this a bit in my past two reports, but I'm going to take a moment to talk about it here so it gets out to the general public. From now on, creation of custom uniforms is going to be highly encouraged by the Operations Office. I, like many others, am sick of just seeing the cookie-cutter uniforms. I am going to allow more leeway with background colors, names in corners, and that kind of thing. Anything that adds class to a uniform design is fine with me. But, please beware. I am not going to approve crazy designs (Read: No Ewok Heads, Crazy Medals, or anything like that), so if you think something might be denied, make sure to e-mail me before putting all the work into designing a custom uniform.

CMDRs, I encourage you to run competitions among your squadrons for the best design of a custom uniform, for yourself or for individual squadron members. It's a great way to promote squadron activity.


ISD Grey Wolf COM Promoted to Vice Admiral.

From VA Khadgar: Gilad has been an active force on the Grey Wolf ever since his appointment. He has been constantly active in reports, competition design and motivation. He has also been active in flying activities, Message Board activity and IRC activity. He has also notably been involved hands-on in recruitment, something of a rarity these days! Gilad does his best to make the Grey Wolf a better place for the pilots, and I think he succeeds! He is certainly a valued addition to the ASF staff, and it would give me great pleasure to see him honored with this rank for his service to the ASF! Congrats to VICE ADMIRAL Gilad!


Prae Commander open for applications

FA Cyric and SDIR Mordann are accepting applications for Prae CMDR.

Requirments are:
No HCI Convictions in last six months
Active within the EH and TC, preferable MP experience
Good Communication skills, and good working relationships with TC Command Staff.
Good competition ideas and follow throughs
Able to maintain an elite squadron and keep the pilots happy :)

If you think you have what it takes please mail your applications to FA Cyric and SDIR Mordann.

Applications will only be accepted up to Thursday 04/22/04!

XWA Patches updated

I've updated the MC-90, TIE Praetor, TIE Guardian, Sovereign, DGN, I-7 Howlrunner, TIE Dragon, TIE Vanguard, ESSD mk.I, ESSD mk.II, Astatine Tug and Phalanx Gunboat patches for XWA to current standards so they install more easily together with other patches.
I have also updated the Tritan Interceptor (for the Hammer to Anvil series) to fix the bug of it not moving in any direction but straight ahead.

All are adviced to only use the latest versions of patches. Many of these aim to fix bugs reported on XWA battles before.

This week has been pretty good. 2 of our new Sub-Lieutenants gained their promotions to Lieutenant. Congratulations to them. I am very happy at the general activity of the Wing at the moment. It is surpassing what I expected.

Final Thoughts
This week, activity has been amazing. I'd like to mention LT Sirion especially. He is pretty new to the TIE Corps, yet he has been so active. 5 BSFs and 4 IWATS. Quite impressive. Keep up the great work Lieutenant. The rest of the Wing is going pretty good. Some are being a little lazy, but I can forgive that. Keep trying to make IX the best wing in the Corps!

Comp participation could be better. I haven't recieved any submissions for the Website comp. Only 1 for the Pilot of the Weak comp. Come on guys, Pilot of the Weak is a VERY easy comp that will also count as a BSF for you. Just fly your worst! :) Trivia is having excellent participation. We only have 1 submission for the new IX Banner to thanks to Arch. Submissions are always welcome.

This is quite simple. Each CMDR of Wing IX can enter this competition. To win, simply fly the most missions in the month, submitting the BSF's to myself as normal. LoC's and DFC's will NOT count in this. Competition ends at the end of the month.

Participate in "Wing IX Pilot of the Weak"
I won a competition similar to this in my early days with the TIE Corps. Basically, the person who submits a BSF to me with the LOWEST points will earn an IS-SW. Second place earns an IS-BW. There are 3 categories. TIE, XvT and XWA. The Battles are: TIE-FREE 224 Omicron Squadron -- Minos Cluster XvT-FREE 138 Delphian Squadron: Capture an Abandoned Platform XWA-FREE 98 Operation Divide and Counquer: Part 1. IS-SW to the winner of the each division (TIE, XvT and XWA) IS-BW to second in each division. Competition ends on the 30th of April.

Wing IX needs members! Get out there and post on mbs, email Reserves and cadets, do anything you can (As long as you don't break any rules) to recruit new members for Wing IX. We are the TCBGs flagship and we should have the most members. Each new recruit MUST submit one BSF (Either a Battle or Free Mission) to me before they are counted.) Winner will get an IS-SR. Second gets an IS-BR. Competition ends on the 31st of May.

I want IX to get off to a great start! As such, I will hold this massive flying competition. There are 2 categories to it. A) The person who gains the most FCHG (Includes battles, free missions, LoC's and DFC's) points in the month the competition runs will earn an IS-SW. Second place will win a IS-SW. B) The person who completes the most missions (Includes Battles and Free Missions) will earn an IS-SW. Second place will earn an IS-BR. NOTE: If you place in one categories, you cannot win a medal in another. IS-SW to the winner of each division and an IS-BW to second place. Competition ends on the 31st of May.
