WING COMMANDER'S CORNER

Good afternoon pilots, wow what a week this one has been. Its been one of the most active
and the busiest week for me yet. And yes my report is indeed three days late. Been working
on several projects this past week, became so caught up with those that I had trouble finding
time to do the report.

The Wing, as I said before has had a very active week. Both this week and the week before.
Communication is high, e-mail wise. However I'm not seeing very many of you on IRC.
However considering the level of activity that may be a good thing. I would like to see more
of the crew on IRC. It would help us all to become alittle more familar with each other and
build on the unity of the wing.

We was going to try to get a group of pilots together to represent the wing in the SSL comp.
But we kinda ran out of time on that. Pi squadron will be representing the wing. AbV may be
to take on a few volunteers from other squadrons to fly together and represent the wing.
If you'd like to help out in the comp, and have the time to fly for it. E-mail AbV and let him
know to put you on the Colossus team for the SSL. But do it soon!

Our Commodore is off on a short leave, when he returns we'll be starting out wing wide comp.
As he detailed in his ship bulletin. I'll again provide information on this below.

Flag Officer Appointments

As was announced at last night's TIE Corps meeting (why weren't you there?), there are two new Flag Officers in the TIE Corps:

Congratulations to Major Thom Zack who has taken over as the new Wing Commander for Wing XIX on the SSD Avenger. He comes highly recommended and should continue to be a fine Officer.

Also congratulations to Rear Admiral Jahan Kalar, who has been appointed as Commodore of the ISD Relentless. Around a dozen applications were received, with several highly qualified candidates. Kalar stood out with his previous extensive experience as both Wing Commander and Flight Office Assistant. Myself and VA Krax are confident that he will prove to be the right choice.

I will now need a new FOA, but DO NOT send me any emails about this yet. I'll post some requirements shortly.


TIE testers sought

Tactical Office requires 3 additional TIE testers. You are required to test at least 1 battle / week. It is not easy job so don't count on easy medals.
Email applications to me, my Attaché and TCC:TIE (if you cannot find their emails then forget about this job). Also include your PIN. No PIN = no job. What's more. It's FIFO system. So first 3 applications will be accepted.
