WING COMMANDER'S CORNER

Good day pilots,

Another good week for the wing. I am very proud of each and every one of you.
Our wing competition goes into its second week now, activity is looking good.
I don`t know that we could win a BG wide COMP and get the flagship title back....

But, that is the whole point of this competition. Its a battle readiness comp. Prepareing
us all for the next BG wide competition. We'll get that flagship title back!

Our numbers is back up over 30 now, and I plan for them to stay that way. Theres several
other pilots that have expressed interest to join our wing, hopefully in the next couple of
wings they'll hop a shuttle and transfer over.

We've had many, many people apply for Nu CMDR. We are right now going through
all the applications, talking with other wing commanders and commodores to get information
about these people. With in 48 hours Nu will have a new squadron commander.

I apologize to the pilots of Nu for this taking so long.

Congratulations to the new Commodore of the ISD Challenge, who is named in the most recent Flight Office report.
From the FO report:
Colonel Reaper (paul.reeves7@ntlworld.com) appointed as Flight Office Assistant. My thanks to all of you who expressed an interest in the position, the decision was not an easy one to make. Please note that with some upcoming Flight Office projects, I appoint a second FOA from the current list of applicants.
Major Davi Anthol has been promoted to the position of Wing Commander of Wing XVIII on the SSD Avenger.
Rear Admiral Wil Striker, Commodore of the ASF's ISD Intrepid, has been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral in recognition of his past work on the ship.
Lieutenant Colonel Charles "Demos" Spencer has been selected as the new Commodore of the ISD Challenge following the previous COM's removal, and promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. Again, this was a hard choice to make, there were several excellent applicants to choose from.
Lieutenant Colonel Frodo, Wing Commander of Sov Wing V, has been promoted to Colonel for his sterling work as a Flag Officer.

Anthol has a solid history of Command and should excel in his new role as Wing Commander. Congrats again.

It is with the greatest of pleasures that I announce the formal alliance of the Emperor's Hammer and the Rebel Squadrons. As two of the largest, best run clubs on the net, we have long shared friendly relations together. However, all attempts in the past at formally allying our two organizations have been met with various problems. However, through the efforts of Rear Admiral Darknyte, Admiral Rahj Tharen, and Grand Admiral Ronin, we have successfully secured an alliance which will be the foundation upon which we will build many more venues.

What does this mean for the average EH or RS member? Not a lot, in some ways, for we have always and forever shared our mutual love of Star Wars and the desire to have fun. However, we now can stand officially together, allied in our common cause - the desire to live out a bit of that amazing universe of Star Wars. I look forward to seeing what the Emperor's Hammer will bring to our table in terms of competition, exchange of ideas, and friendship.

The Office of External Affairs will begin investigation into various competitions with the Emperor's Hammer. More details will be forthcoming.

Theta Squadron Invitational

In the spirit of the NCAA basketball tournament, I am interested in holding a 64 squadron flying tournament for all squadrons who play TIE. It will be a six round elimination tournament. You fly a free mission, and the squadron with the highest average score, provided that at least four of your pilots fly it, will advance to the next round. My squadron will participate. If any CMDR is interested in having his squadron participate, please e-mail me at superjew@ncinternet.net. Remember, this is for TIE squadrons only. In the future, if this is successful, I will be doing one for the multiplayer squadrons. Hope to have you participating!
