Welcome to the Wing IX Weekly Report for the week of June 30, 2003. This week showed a marked improvement in activity from all squadrons. Also, the Relentless's recruitment drive has now swung into full force. The first phase of the Wing Wide Competition has ended, and the winner will be announced below. And believe me when I say the FCHG race is off and running! Anyways, on to the report.

The deadline for apps for this position ended Saturday. I will announce my decision soon.


Competitions:
Wing Wide Competition
The Wing Wide Competition continues, though now we have a name for it!!! The winner of Phase 0 is CPT Tiger! The name of the competition is now officiallly: The Wing Commander's Cup. I felt that this title gave the comp the proper respect and dignity reserved for large comps such as this one. I'd like to thank the COM for his help in narrowing down a winner. There were a LOT of entries, and many of them were very good, however Tiger has taken this one, so congrats to him.

Now it's time to concentrate on the big phases! You have until July 20th to complete phases 1 thru 6. All details concerning the comp, including specific assignments for each phase, can be found here:

Recruitment
MAJ Tycho Ackbar has been appointed the Cadet Recruitment Officer for the Relentless. This means he will be coordinating all cadet recruiting from now on. He's already created a great website and sent out a couple emails to the group to start getting things organized. I encourage everyone to do their part for the Rel so we can see our numbers go back up. WAY up.
