                              Wing News
Well we say so long to a great commander this week with the resignation of Major Jer Stryker. He served us well and his will be a tough act to follow so Hornet Squadron Commander position is now open for applications until next Sunday so if you are interested in applying, get those in asap as we will announce the new cmdr Monday.

Our numbers have faltered a bit over the last two weeks and there are alot of new faces on the Daedalus so I encourage each of you to take a minute and see if you can give the new cadets a little assistance and try to steer them our way. Remember its worth a MoI to your id line if you help somebody graduate the academy so hop to it and lets hit 60.

As most of you know by now, A.G Snijglau has taken up the post of Echo Commander. He is an accomplished officer and we are glad to have him back aboard.



                                            Fleet News
1.  The FO is running a fiction comp to generate a INPR for himself. There will be good medals for participation in this so I encourage each of you to look at the TC news page for details.
2.  Congratulations to Major Hev Randrowan who returns to the Wing Commander seat of Wing XIII.
3.  The TAC has finally reach 3000. Quite an accomplishment!!! Heres the releases that sent them over the mark:

                   Vanguard standing orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

Standing Order #2: Reports
I expect a Squadron report every week from every Commander on Friday  and Squadron MSE's are due on the 1st unless I am told in advance of a RL situation that prevents you from sending one in on time but I do expect it when you return from leave.  This will get you removed from command immediately.  They must also be uploaded to the database.

Standing Order #3: AWOL's
All AWOL requests must be approved by the WC and the COM before sending them in to the FO.  This is not to resurp your command it is to give us the chance of emailing the pilots personally to try and find out their situations and give them one last chance to get back to active status.

                         COMPETITIONS
FCHG COMPETITION
The Pilot gaining the most FCHG Points during the month will receive an IS-SW and the runner up will get a IS-BW.

VANGUARD JOUST
Our Mp competition with points being awarded as follows:
10 POINTS---DFC
05 POINTS---PER WIN
03 POINTS---PER LOSS
01 POINTS---EACH COMPETITION PARTICIPATED IN
The one with the most points receives an IS-SW and the runner up gets an IS-BW.

RECRUITMENT COMPEITION
The Pilot assisting and aiding in the placement of the most recruits(cadets or reservists) during the month will receive an IS-SR and the runner up will receive an IS-BR.

VANFLYING COMPS
 
Sicky has some new comps in process so look for those soon. I will also be announcing another big comp for the Van that will begin on August first. Its an old comp we have been running for awhile that promotes hard work and alot of competiveness so look for details on that very soon.
