And once again, the good old Wolvie, managed to sober after his last party (there were him and his friend - the bottle of vodka) and write the damn wing report :). This week was a good week for Wing IV. Activity has increased (especially mine), new pilot joined our wing, and probably another one is comming soon... I had few submissions for Summer Bash - thanks to all who remember about this competition. And, I've finally announced who's the new Yod and Cheth Commanders :p. BTW. I was thinking about inserting some jokes here, but don't know what is your opinion, so this time I'll put it on hold :P

Wing IV News
° Commander Armagon has been chosen for a CMDR of Cheth Squadron.
° Captain Matt Patrick has been chosen for similar slot in Yod.
° Sub Lieutenant Nicolai Tovarian joins our wing. Welcome among the best pilots in the fleet, pilot!
° LCM Ace of Cheth went on leave.
° Yod and Zayin own the SSL, heh, good job!
° New motto for Cheth Squadron has been approved: Exoriare Aliquis Nostris Ex Ossibus Ultor (whatever it means :p)

Wing IV Competitions
° Wing IV Summer Bash
° Starting Date: 15th of June 2003
° Ending Date: 31st of August 2003
°
° This compeition is going on between the squadrons of Wing IV. Each pilot
° of designated squadron can earn points for usual TC activities:
° * 1 point for flying one mission,
° * 5 points for one LoC earned,
° * 10 points for writting a fiction (must concern the wing),
° * 10 points for IWATS course passed,
° * 10 points for designing graphics (about StarWars, prefferably the
° wing),
° * 30 points for designing one mission (prefferably - the mission
° plotline must concern the wing)
° And now:
° The overall squadron score = sum of all pilots scores from the
° squadron.
°
° 1.) Squadron with the highest number of points wins.
° 2.) Pilot who earns the highest number of points will be awarded Iron
° Star Silver Ribbon. The second scorer will be given Iron Star Bronze
° Ribbon...
°
° Additional RULES:
° 1.) I'll be announcing the winner myself, so
° everyone except me can participate.

° Wing IV War Archives.
° This is a ficition competition similar to previous one, although I have prolonged it to the next year, so I could award the winner of each round every month. As a part of TIE Corps, Wing IV participates in many combat operations, like defending convoys, attacking them, strike missions etc. The basic idea of this competition is to write a story about one of these missions or combat operations (made up of course). The story has to include entire Wing and be hmm.. astonishing - like an intersting novel. I will be choosing the winner myself.

IRC Quote of the Week (QotW)

Starting this week, I will begin selecting an IRC Quote of the Week for inclusion in the COMM report, and to be displayed on the upcoming new COMM site.
What can the QotW be you might ask? It can be pretty much anything amusing or taken out of context said on IRC in an EH channel.
Nominations for QotW can be sent to me at io@absolutek.ca. The person who submits the QotW will have there name prominently displayed beside the winning entry, and possibly at a later date, win a medal (I will have to talk to the TO first though). Any EH member from any subgroup may submita QotW nomination.
Parallax War

Parallax War will start on the 15th of July. It wíll include the TRA and the FES on the beginning. More clubs join soon. It will be held daily in #Parallax on Undernet and same Bot System as in the daily comps are used. NOTE: As long as the Parallax War are underway ALL daily comps are cancled. They will start on 1st August again!

Something a bit off topic...I came across a brief review of a site depicting ships and their relative sizes in a UK magazine (Focus, 4/5). The site's pretty good with some interactivity - you can move the ships around and overlay them with each other. It's located at http://mirror.wolffelaar.nl/zardalu.sytes.net/ and contains Star Wars ships as well as those from other universes (Bablyon 5, Star Trek etc).
