Wing News
TOPDOG is on!!! Already a close race right out of the gate. I expect a slugging match the entire comp but we wish everyone good luck.

1. LC Thom Zack has resigned as the WC of Wing XIX. Applications are currently being taken. If you are interested please check the TC news page for requirements.
2. There is a new competition to create the COMM a new banner. There are some good medals up for grabs so if you wish to give it a shot, email your submissions to io@absolutek.ca.
3. Congrats to our very own FO, HA Priyum Patel who takes home the gold in the COO name submission competition. Also congrats to Major Zoron who takes home second place.
4. The TAC is looking for new Xwa testers and engineers. If you think its something youd be interested in contact FA Szydlowski.
Vanguard standing orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.
Standing Order #2: Reports
I expect a Squadron report every week from every Commander on Friday and Squadron MSE's are due on the 1st unless I am told in advance of a RL situation that prevents you from sending one in on time but I do expect it when you return from leave. This will get you removed from command immediately. They must also be uploaded to the database.
Standing Order #3: AWOL's
All AWOL requests must be approved by the WC and the COM before sending them in to the FO. This is not to resurp your command it is to give us the chance of emailing the pilots personally to try and find out their situations and give them one last chance to get back to active status.

Sicky has some new comps in process so look for those soon. I will also be announcing another big comp for the Van that will begin on August first. Its an old comp we have been running for awhile that promotes hard work and alot of competiveness so look for details on that very soon.
Wing XV August Competition
Thats right boys and girls its time for another big competition and its been two months since we have done much so heres what we are going to do. Many of you may have never heard of TOP DOG but our veterans are very familiar with it. It pits all of our squadrons against each other. Pilots accumulate points for almost everthing they do and the squadron with the most points at the end are declared the Vans Top Dog. Other than that it will be good for tons of medals in addition to monthly medals and hopefully it will jump start our somewhat poor activity levels lately. This is similar in rules to the Supremecy Comp which the Van had a decent showing this last time but which we have NEVER won. Its on, everybody participate and win a medal or three. Good Luck!!
