Pilots of Wing I:

It has been only four days since I took command of this wing, but
those four days have been incredible for a variety of reasons. A month
without a Wing Commander is damaging to any wing, but while I can see
the effects of Wolly's absence very clearly, I can also see the signs
that there is a great deal of talent in this wing. I am very much
looking forward to seeing it come back to life.

First and foremost, I am glad to hear from some of you in the New York
and Washington DC areas. It appears that nobody from Wing I was
injured or killed, but please take a moment to check in with your
fellow EHers and make sure your friends are alright. Of course, myself
and the rest of the Sovereign Flag Officers are here if you need
anything at all.

Also, I would like to thank Gamma Squadron for providing me with a
case of Dr. Pepper. Thanks guys! :)

The Emperor's Hammer is taking on the New Republic Navy! The
competition is running through Battlestats using WoW rules. From Sept
14 to Sept 21, all internal compeitions are hereby suspended, so that
our multiplayer pilots may concentrate on the comp against the navy.

All pilots are invited to design a home page for the SSSD Sovereign to
replace the one previously hosted by GN Wolly. Required elements:
Navigation scheme, HTML design for Sovereign home page and the
following additional pages: News, Ship Data, War Room (competitions),
Cantina (gateway to message board, IRC information, etc.), Wings,
Commodore's Office, Art Gallery, Fiction Compendium.

Winning entry may be used as the new SSSD Sovereign home page.
Optional elements: Main logo, link banner, other graphics. Some
graphics may be used as the new elements of the Sov page and in a new
art gallery.

Awards:
First place: Iron Star-Gold Ribbon
Second place: Iron Star-Silver Ribbon
Third place: Iron Star-Bronze Ribbon

Finally, the Wing I competition! The battle to fly is TIE-TC 113,
available at http://www.tiecorps.org/battles/battle.asp?record=243.
The due date is September 18. Please submit your pilot files to your
CMDRs, and CMDRs please submit your squadrons' scores to me by
September 19th at the latest. The results are to be announced in the
wing report on the evening of September 19th. The top scorer overall
wins a shiny new IS-SW, and the runner up wins an IS-BW!
