A sad, sad week for the TIE Corps and especially the Sov. COM Kramer was an excellent man, extremely fair, and willing to go the extra mile. He will be greatly missed. ::tears:: BUT!! He is succeeded by RA Proton, former WC of Wing V! Congratulations!

WING MOVEMENTS AND PROMOTIONS-

We welcome Sub-Lieutenant TK-7642 of Zeta Squadron!!
LT Primeous has been awarded the the Medal of Instruction for recruiting TK-7642!
Samuel Shadd III has been promoted to LT!! Congratulations
Kronos Omega has been promoted to LT!! Congratulations!
We both welcome and congratulate SL Sir Ace who has been placed in Zeta, as well has been promoted to LT!! Congratulations

THIS WEEKS DOGMA: DO NOT CHEAT =P

Doc. Argon Viper is hosting a competition from the Fleet Medical Corps. First
place receives an IS-SW, second a IS-BW. The battle: TC-TIE 165. It ends
9/30/01. For our XWA pilots, I will suggest you fly TC-XWA 13. I am going to
create a way to compare XWA and TIE battles...and here is the test. Please
make sure I see all scores.

Before his abrupt leaving, Wing V's COL Proton did agree to our challenge. We are discussing details now. Expect it to start about Sept 14th.

Likewise, Wing VIII has challenged us...and I want to accept. But we will not fly until after the FMC and Wing V comps.

Remember what I want. Write me an evaluation of the wing and critique EVERYTHING! From the command staff (uh oh) to competitions to mailing lists; everything.

SOVEREIGN AND TIE CORPS NEWS:

Our new TAC, FA Striker, writes the following on mission skipping.
Mission skipping is only allowed if a bug prevents you to complete a mission. It is strictly forbidden to skip a mission just in order to complete more easily the battle if no fatal bug is present in this mission. Even in XWA where skipping a mission is an ingame option, only use it in case of bugs. If you encounter a fatal bug and skip a mission, tell your CMDR when submitting the pilot file. CMDRs, please state then the mission has been skipped because of a bug; a bug report MUST also be filled by the pilot. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the BSF, the played battle being then removed from the pilot profile. The aim of this rule, part of the TC Cheating Policy since it exists, is to prevent people from gaining easy FCHG points in skipping missions without reason (FCHG points are awarded for the whole battle, even if you skipped a mission) whereas some pilots would take time to complete all missions. Fairness...:-)

A new online competitions begins!
It is AusComp, the Australian edition of the online competitions. It will be hosted 5 - 8 AM (EST). Go to the TC homepage for more information. (Cause I don't have anymore!)
