Wing IV News

1) Congrats to Yarik and GoldFinger on their long overdue promotions :))

2) As you may have noticed by now that we have a Lamed Commander. Welcome aboard to CPT Malik.

3) The 6th Round results for the Wing IV Squadron League should be announced soon. As soon as we can located Riccy that is (I knew it was a mistake to let him carry on with this :P)

4) MAJ Halcyon is currently running a Wing IV Comp. It appears CPT Bret has been a little careless with his little money making Ewoks. The 4 top earners have done a runner (not surprising really, if ya know what he does with em :P) Here are the details from Halc

Once a week for one month, I will give out three clues to the location
of an ewok. The ewok will either be in a squadron's barracks or a pilots
quarters anywhere in the TC fleet (I will specify where). You will have to
use the TC roster to find the squadron or pilot. You will then send in your
guess to eh_halcyon@hotmail.com. If you send it over the egroups, it will
NOT be counted! As soon as I get the right answer, I will announce the
winner, as wel as explain how to find the right squadron/pilot from my
clues. You only get 2 guesses, and only one guess per e-mail. So if I
don't announce the winner within the day you send your guess, then you
should probably find another answer :P

There are rewards people! For the first 3 weeks, the winner will be
awarded an Iron Star-Bronze Ribbon. The final week, the winner shall
receive an Iron Star-Silver Ribbon!

Congrats to LC Mini Minkus for winning the First Round, your IS-BR is on its way

5) The Doc and Nurses positions are still open (theres a surprise), if you are even remotely interested send your application to LC Astarosa at

6) As you may or may not know, there has a new wave of cheating hitting the fleet at the moment. Now I know that you lot been good chaps. The veterans among you know that this means that if convicted you WILL be busted to SL, lose all medals, FCHG points and highscores. In the worst case senario Expelled. I've had to deal with this before in my time as squadron CMDR and don't want to have to do it again, so don't even think about it, its just not worth it.

Ship/Fleet News

1) As you will all know, longstanding SovCom FA Kramer has resigned from his postion after four years. He will be missed. However Congrats to his replacement, ex-WC, now Rear Admiral Proton.

2) Congrats to Wing XI WC COL Badlands on his promotion to General

3) Congrats to the New Relentless COM RA Lohr Zadash

4) Final Congrats go to VA Cyric, BGCOM of the ASF, on his promotion to Full Admiral

5) Following on from the Motto comp, we now have the Daedalus Banner Competition. This competition is about designing a new banner for the TIE Corp's training platform. Full details are available here.

6) The TAC Office will not be accepting any new battles or free-missions at the moment, when they are, they will let us know

7) Reminder on mission skipping
06:12 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Mission skipping is only allowed if a bug prevents you to complete a mission. It is strictly forbidden to skip a mission just in order to complete more easily the battle if no fatal bug is present in this mission. Even in XWA where skipping a mission is an ingame option, only use it in case of bugs. If you encounter a fatal bug and skip a mission, tell your CMDR when submitting the pilot file. CMDRs, please state then the mission has been skipped because of a bug; a bug report MUST also be filled by the pilot. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the BSF, the played battle being then removed from the pilot profile. The aim of this rule, part of the TC Cheating Policy since it exists, is to prevent people from gaining easy FCHG points in skipping missions without reason (FCHG points are awarded for the whole battle, even if you skipped a mission) whereas some pilots would take time to complete all missions. Fairness...:-)
