WC/COL SickMan reporting on 06/10/01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:
WELCOME TO WING V, THE HAMMER'S HELLFIGHTERS!

Twas Saturday again, SickMan was seated at his desk sifting through his mound of communication`s and he slowly turned his head from side to side in a growing anger at the slowly depleting number in Wing V, down to 35. Something had to be done, the October comps were in place, all CMDR`s and A-CMDR`s were working their butts off, all was left to be announced was the recruitment drive initiative.
The goal, to be 50 members strong by 1st of January 2002, a lofty goal it was, but WC SickMan knew that with some hard-work by all his Wing they could do it , all would be rewarded in the traditional Wing V manner, WC SickMan would pay for all drinks in the month of January that were consumed in Airlock#21 and those members who shined in their recruiting skills would be awarded a medal of a undisclosed name, but WC SickMan would have to personally request these medals from the COM & would be the COM who decides what is awarded to outstanding individuals.
On the corner of SickMan`s desk was Iggy (A Salacious B Crumb type creature) , one of the recent additions to Wing V to help SickMan in his duties. He had some headphones on and was headbanging to some of SickMans back catalogue of metal classics and every now & then he gave the devil sign to SickMan and chittered some satanic verses.
Beside SickMan helping him with the weeks paperwork was GR-81, quietly chirping away has he filed away papers. SickMan`s faithful droid was still without a name, but SickMan rather liked the name Colin.
At the doorway the shadow of a protocol droid peered round and said in a low depressed voice " WC SickMan, it`s time for the weekly Sabaac game in Airlock#21, and CM Face Loran is paying with him being the new CMDR "
With that announcement Iggy, took off his headphones and jumped on the top of Colin and they both scuttered down the hall-way quicker than you could say "free beer" and SickMan moved with surpassingly fast speed closely behind them.
Skiny was left in the doorway, "Ah Sabaac, it reminds me of the time i served aboard a freighter, that was before we had any of these flash super starships, those were the days, when a honest droid could do a honest days work for a good oil bath.............................."
Skiny was unaware that nobody was listening but he carried on his tall story............and for god sake don`t ask him why he only has 1 `n` in Skiny instead of 2, you`ll die of old age before he finishes.........:)

SickMans Sexy September Results
Story comp winners= LCM Murkrow Defender & LCM Owen Wolfstar (now in the reserves)
Both were great stories , Defender`s was short & sweet while owen was a adventure that would make a good battle if anyone wants to make it! Plus theses were the only members who entered.
Assistant Comp winners = Again LCM Murkrow Defender & LCM Owen Wolfstar (now in the reserves)
Also both pilots were again the only entrants.
Again a difficult choice, but both pilots came up with the same idea for a Salacious B Crumb type assistant and a droid, so there will be 2 droids and 1 Salacious B, they are:

GR-81 (Colin)
Race/Model-Newest model Astromech Droid
Duties-General assistant to the WC helping with paperwork etc.
Apperance-Approx. 4 feet tall with a domed head. Primary colour is black with silver as a secondary colour.
History-GR-81 is the newest model astromech droid produced by Astro Industries specifically for the Emperor's Hammer. Generally assigned to Command Staff officer's of the various sub-groups of the Emperor's Hammer nobody really knows how Sickman acquired the small droid but rumours say he won it from former Wing V wing commander RA Proton in a sabaac game just days after taking command of the Wing. Programmed with the latest navigation and problem solving algorithms the droid is also a handy co-pilot. Sickman has also secretly programed the droid to be the wing's requisition's officer and the droid can get just about anything a wing member could desire, as long as the WC authorises it of course.

Ignatius "Iggy" B. Crumb
Race/Model-Kawokian Monkey Lizard
Duties-Iggy acts as a spy for the WC, spying not only on the other WC's and RA Proton but also on the trouble makers and pranksters in the Wing.
Apperance-About two feet tall with a short tall, a beak and large ears.
History-Iggy is the younger brother of Jabba the Hutt's jester the famous, according to Iggy, Salacious B Crumb. Iggy was born on Kawokia and left the planet around the same time as his more famous brother. But unlike Salacious, Iggy chose a life as a performer in a travelling circus as a magician. Iggy travelled the galaxy with the circus for many years until it was attacked by a group of salvers who took the entire circus prisoner hoping to sell them to the highest bidder. That was until the pilot's of Sadhe destroyed the slavers and freed the prisoner's. Thinking he owed Sickman for his life Iggy followed him until Sickman relented and decided to let him tag along.

New TCS and TCT sought for XvT/BoP

With the many changes in command over the past months concerning the XvT part of the Tactical Staff, there is currently a lack of playtesters (TCS) and correctors (TCT) for Xvt/BoP, with as well a growing backlog on XvT battles. Therefore, the Tactical Office is looking for additional Tactical Surveyors (TCS, playtesters) and Tacticians (TCT, correctors) for the XvT/BoP platform. Please review the Tactical Manual for the position descriptions. Some requirements for the positions are for Tactical Surveyors(TCS):
have XvT/BoP (!!)
be able to playtest a battle within a week and to write a beta report (templates in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XvT/BoP mission design, graduation from XTM not necessary but recommended.
And for Tacticians (TCT):
have XvT/BoP
be able to bring corrections to a battle within 1,2 weeks, from the problems noticed by the TCS in their beta reports (guidelines in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XvT/BoP mission design
must have passed XTM from IWATS
Please review the Tactical Manual before applying, there you will find a complete description of the Tactical Staff. These are auxiliary positions, which means you don't have to leave your squadron. Applications are to be sent to Lieutenant Colonel Marcin Szydlowksi and Captain Drako. Nice rewards for all hard working people !

Since our former COMM Assistant (COMMA), Jacob Van Nowak, has been promoted to CA2:RO, we are now taking applications from anyone interested in being COMMA should send applications to both Vice Admiral HackSolo and Vice Admiral Motti. Be sure to include your EH Resume as well as one personal reference. There are no prerequisite abilities applicants should have, except basic arithmetic skills. All applicants should however be able and willing to do the following:
- Spend an hour or two each week counting message board posts in order to award Medals of Communication (this will be your main duty)
- Report directly to HackSolo and Motti
- Do small tasks for the COMM & CA:COMM, since we're both busy college men. :P
That's about it, the job isn't an excessive amount of work, but if you do a good job, it's very helpful for advancement in the EH, just look at our last COMMA Jacob... in June he was FM/LCM, and now in September he's CA:RO/RA. All are encouraged to apply.

*As the graveyard shift on the Sov's bridge starts it's work RA Proton commes out of his ready room for his final checks before he goes to his quarters to sleep. The night seemed as normal as any but he just couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. As he signals to the LSD team that he is ready for them to eskort him back to his roomhe sees a glimer coming from a ventalation shaft and sudenly disapear when he looks at it. He signals to his jawa to go in and take a look as him and the other 2 members of his team of assistants walk down the coridors. Suddenly a loud sound is heard, like something being pussed over behind them, so once again Proton sends one of his team. Just as Proton gets close to his quarters his surplus probe droid suddenly shuts down. All of a sudden he sees a miniature T/D flying down the hall towards him and he can see a monkey at the controls. As the thing aproches it opens fire on the RA. out of the laser implacements comes sily string and roten tomatos are fired insted of misiles. Then the ship veers down a dark cooridor and is never seen again.*
