TCCOM's Award goes to ISD Colossus!

Well now isn't that a topic to discuss these days :) It would seem that we have done something we haven't done for awhile. Like work together and become that well oiled machine. With all parts working together all in sync. Now me and Mell likes this very much. I'm only glad that I was the WC during this time frame. It is an honor to be able to have served with you, flown with you and worked with all of you to help get this award to this ship again after over 1 year since the last time it was given to this ship.

Guess what? Well the HGK comp is finally underway. And can ya believe it we actually have 5 paired groups who are competing now to see which pilots will continue on to the next round. As was stated in the e-mail sent out, no more entries will be taken until after the first Grand Knight is announced. So wish the candidates luck!

Today we say good bye to LCM Bizzare who due to RL matters had to go to the RSV's until her stuff is taken care of. Just like we've said before RL is first and foremost. If you have any RL troubles, eg. school, wives, etc then take leave and go fix it before its to late. I would rather see you on leave for a month then lose you forever. We have a good strong Wing here and I'm sure that it will continue. Its only because of you that we have achieved the things we have.

Remember we have brought back the Wing meetings in case you don't know. We hold Wing meetings every sunday in the #isd_colossus channel at 02:00pm EST (01:00pm CST, 7:00pm GMT). Just sign on to IRC using the undernet servers and joiin us. The meetings have went well even though most aren't sure what to do. But it is a time when you can voice your opinion and be heard. After the meetings we usually have a question and answer time for you to ask the WC and COM questions of things you need answers to or something that we have put out and you don't understand.

Another refresher. Our COM/VA Mell has set up 2 comps for us to do and they are:

  • http://www.imperialacademy.org/compdetails.asp?ID=937
Also I have started the ISDCA #2. This is currently ongoing and the missions to fly are listed below. Please check out all of these comps and be sure to participate in all of them. Even if your entry doesn't get picked and or you don't get first place in the comp, don't let this concern you. All we ask is that you make a small contribution to the cause. Lastly, I congratulate all of those pilots who for all your efforts have given their all to help make the Colossus the #1 ship. Getting the TCCOM's Award is a big honor and one that will be carried on with all of us no matter what we do or where we go from here. Thanks again to all of you. You have made us proud.

Colossus Standing Orders
Colossus Standing Orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

This has been shortened for you. The rest maybe seen on the ISD Colossus website.

ISDCA - ISD Colossus Ace Competition Round #2
Has started as of November 4th. You have 2 weeks to fly the linked missions shown below. All CMDR's must keep a running total of their pilots who fly, and on November 15th they need to turn in a pilot flight report of who flew to me.

  1. TIE-FREE Battle #160 - Colossus: Gold Rush
  2. TIE-FREE Battle #168 - Colossus Wing VIII Starfighter Overhaul

Yes as you may have noticed that the missions to fly were created by yours truely for the ship. So get out there and fly them to your best ability. I want to see alot of pilots doing this comp. Last time I believe we only had a few. Lets try and show are participation by being extremely active for this okay :) The current ISDCA Champ is Major Zystem Fryar, will he be the reining champ?

Hall of the Grand Knight - (HGK):

Will start off on November 1st. Jsut waiting to see who will e-mail accepting the challenge to fly. On November 4th which is plenty of time for everyone to contact me, I will announce the matches and missions to fly. So ya better hurry and submit your names so I can place them in the pool to see who will fly against who in the first round. If your not familiar with the rulz then I suggest you brush up on these, so visit the HGK website at Hall of the Grand Knight make sure you read the rules carefully. They are not difficult, but they don't tolerate certain areas as stated, so please understand the rules of engagment. If there are any questions contact the Hall moderators.

Command Changes
None.

Shopping List
There are a couple at the top for the ISDCA comp. So get to your fighters and FLY, FLY, FLY!

Lastly, like I said before, if you want some easy medals, then go fly. I have in the past awarded, ISMs for flying 20+ missions, PCs for flying 40+ missions, and BSs for flying 80+ missions. So if your game for a medal then go fly, its not hard just takes a little of your time and patience. Medals for the past week will be awarded after I submit this report as I will be submitting them right after :P

Reviews

Egroups
Seems things are alittle slow but thats due to some restraints in everyones activity. So Come one lets pick up the chatter and fill those e-mail boxes. A small reminder to the CMDR's, is you need to make sure that everyone is part of their egroups to ensure they get all mail sent to them. Just make sure you CC VA Mell on all communiqués. I don't want him being left out! Remember if you reply to this Wing Report you will need to contact me via my e-mail at: LC Absolut Vodka (absolutv@isdcolossus.com) or simply add the Colossus egroup addy at (ISD-Colossus@yahoogroups.com) to the TO: line. I can't express this enough. Because if your reply is trivial then the others don't need to see it, as well as being personal.

IRC
This is a better means of chat among our members. Things are picking up but lets get some of our newer members on-line IRC, however, things are picking up, really! Unfortunately my time on-line has been cut short to mostly weekends, as I have lots do to. Lastly, make sure you use the undernet when you sign on, then go to Channel #isd_colossus. This is where you'll find the most talkative of the Wing :)

Go post! ISD Colossus Message Board

Colossus Website
Absolut Vodka Has updated the War Room page. So go take a look. But thats it, cuz my work (RL) has gotten a bit busy again so not much done. However, it is in the works to do a remodel of the site and is slowly being created, so stay tuned to the Colossus news page for further developements.

Academics

  1. 10 IWATS courses passed by Colossus Pilots this week..
    • Adrian Tepes ----> TT, AIM
    • Aero Slasher ----> M/2
    • Wap Eal ----> TT, CBX
    • Executor ----> M/1, M/2, AIM, GFX
    • Avantar ----> ASP
  2. Looks like only one got awarded an ISM again this week. IWATS courses for the Colossus is picking up again, I'm glad to see it. It shows that our pilots are working towards being more knowledgeable. If an ISM sounds cool to you then we can help you get an easy ISM. Just apply yourself for a few minutes of your day and do 4 IWATS courses for the week and you'll get one too! But they must be completed and passed within the reporting week or it doesn't count :P And CMDR's don't forget to try and atleast get those who you think will be promising Officers for the future to take the SM/2 course.

BSF STATISTICS
Okay here we are at the heart of the Wing. The things we've all waited all month to see. Well maybe you don't want to see it but here it is anyway :P . But just remember, don't cheat to get that high score, as it will put your career in danger, trust me. Now onto the overall stats for the Wing.

  1. Colossus totals for November thus far:
    • Total BSF's: 95
Total Missions: 446 <---it already looks quite possible we could beat last months totals
  1. Colossus final totals for September:
    • Total BSF's: 167
      Total Missions: 674

Looks like we're trying to catch and surpass our October goal. Can we? Lets see what happens. Squadron and pilot breakdown coming up.

  1. Top 5 Pilots of the Week
Looks much better this week and for the end of the month. Here are the Top 5 Pilots for the last week showing off their BSF stats:
    1. CPT Avantar: 20 BSF's, 119 missions
    2. MAJ Zystem Fryar: 16 BSF's, 85 missions
    3. CM Wap Eal: 15 BSF's, 76 missions
    4. CPT Brad Tack: 9 BSF's, 44 missions
    5. CM Dave Darklighter: 6 BSF's, 26 missions

My congratz to CPT Avantar in winning the POW (Pilot of the Week)! He took it away and made an outstanding show this past week! MAJ Zystem Fryar was on his arse but just couldn't pull it off! It looks as though PI is trying to get a major jump on the rest. And a fair bunch of mission have boosted PI pilots to the top again. Good job guys!

  1. Top 5 Pilots of the Month for October
    1. MAJ Zystem Fryar: 54 BSF's, 275 missions
    2. CPT Avantar: 30 BSF's, 148 missions
    3. LT Adrian Tepes: 25 BSF's, 100 missions
    4. CPT Daniel Klivian: 12 BSF's, 55 missions (tied for 4th
    5. LCM Mark Schueler: 12 BSF's, 55 missions (tied for 4th)
    6. CM Kalve Ryder: 18 BSF's, 47 missions

Congratz to MAJ Zystem Fryar for being the Top Gun for October. Keep up the good work.

Top Squadron of the Week
I have to say congratulations to Pi Squadron, as they take the SOW (Squadron of the Week) award for the begining! They did it by flying for: 51 BSF's and 270 missions for the week. Outstanding activity guys! Will they manage to get WC's own again for the second straight month? Stay tuned is starting to heat up!

Top Squadron of the Month for October
Everyone congratulate PI Squadron! I think they broke a few squadron records now with an overall 452 missions for the month of October. No one even came close to touching this mark. It seemed that getting Squadron of the Month was a real pressing issue for PI. Now that they have gotten it I wonder what their goals will be now? But getting the SOM earns them the right to the WC's Own award for October. Great Job!

Rats Extermination
Have to wait until next round

Squadron Summaries

Once again the final rankings of the squadrons for October. Wanna see how your squad is holding up? Listed with them is the amount of BSF's and missions they did over the month. Take a look below at the order they have performed during October:

  1. Pi Squadron: 51 BSF's, 270 missions
  2. Eta Squadron: 21 BSF's, 94 missions
  3. Mu Squadron: 16 BSF's, 50 missions
  4. Omicron Squadron: 5 BSF's, 19 missions
  5. Nu Squadron: 2 BSF's, 13 missions
  6. Iota Squadron: 0 BSF's, 0 missions
Well there ya have it. Pi taking it again as usual. They had an outstanding show last month and they're doing it again this onth already. Does any squadron care to take the challenge and try to stop PI's rule?If so then ya better get flying and fast! Otherwise they will get to far ahead and will be untouchable. But I would like to see more fighting for the top honors :). Stay tuned to the Colossus network, as it can only get better!

Miscellanous

I have to start by saying I'm quite disappointed with Iota Squadron for not having done much in the past week. They were doing so well, and yet only to falter to last place with not even one BSf to show for their work. I do hope this is only a minor glitch and that they will be back next week with something to show for themselves :P Still waiting on the final phase of ECR. We have yet to see what the actual standings are to date. It is in my opinion that we should be in the lead but until AD Adrenaline can send out the result we'll never know. So all we can do is continue to give a good showing for our weekly works, and have fun while doing it!

Also stand by, as I'm trying to get us another Wing vs Wing comp. Thats all for this week, Until next week, stay safe, be aware, and by all means WHAT YOUR SIX!
