General Information

In case anyone is wondering about why certain sections or items are missing in this weeks report, it is because CPT Drako and I discovered that there appears to be a size limitation for the reports being uploaded to the server. Until CPT Drako is able to resolve this matter with the Host of the server, I will have to try to keep the file size down to something the server can handle. :P

Apparently I’m not the only person noticing that there seems to be a sudden slump in the activity within each Squadron. This troubles me greatly, because we all know that this Wing has the potential to be very active and maintain that activity level. I’m sending the CMDR’s an email regarding this matter, and I’m pretty sure that each Squadron is going to be getting an email from their respective CMDR’s afterwards. If you haven’t been very active recently, it would be a good idea not to contradict your CMDR, but to do as he requests regarding what you need to do in order to ensure you remain an active pilot in Wing XIV. :P

A problem came up earlier this week with one of our pilots and a MP match he flew in. He was unfairly cheated out of a LoC when the other pilot failed to complete the match, but the other pilot reported to the Host that he had won the match. Never be afraid to inform the Host that you are contesting a reported score. The Hosts can’t fix anything or resolve any disputes unless they are notified. On the same token, if you’re faced with a similar situation, try to get the other pilot to return and finish the match first, if they refuse to then report the match as a forfeit to the Host immediately! If any other problems arise in your MP matches don’t hesitate to contact me at once, but also contact your CMDR as well. This recent problem is being dealt with through the pilots Commanding Officer, and I expect we won’t see this problem reappear from this pilot again.

I’ve been in contact with GN Sickman in the past 24 hours to see how things are going with Wing V regarding our competition. It seems that things are moving very slowly over there. I’m afraid to admit that things are moving rather slowly over here as well. The only good news is that according to the regular Combat Award Reports, Wing XIV is certainly racking up a LOT of MP victories. Also, our pilots currently hold the High Scores in both SP Battles assigned for this competition! As a Wing I think we are looking very good to win. But based on overall pilot participation and performance, we aren’t doing much better than the lazy sods we’re competing against. And I know Wing XIV isn’t like them, so prove me right and get your butts into those fighters! :P

Speaking of the Wing Comp, I’ve got some interesting numbers for everyone to see regarding the totals so far. Although we still have only received a total of 13 pilot files for both SP platform battles, current Wing XIV has a total of 2,023,232 pts for XvT-TC #38, and a total of 261,666 pts for XWA-TC #29. We also have a total of 56 MP victories in Wing XIV as well! So things aren’t looking to bad, but we are still well short of the 75% participation rate I’d like to see. So pilots, go bug your fellow wingmen and bunkmates to get busy and submit something soon! ;)

On July 12th the EH held it’s second EH Poland Meeting! The turnout was really great for this three-day event, according to the reports I’ve received, and everyone that attended said they had a great time! To top off all the merriment, 5 of our pilots gave a tremendous upset to the other pilots that attended this RL meeting. To be blunt, the 5 pilots that attended this RL gathering won a totally outstanding combined total of 47 LoC’s, out of the grand total of 99 LoC’s that were handed out from the event!! I personally want to thank Adam, Derek, Michael, Tissaya and Tvan for such a great job! Tvan deserves recognition for having the most LoC’s, he had a total of 14 wins! I also have to give congrats to Tissaya as well. For as long as I’ve known her she has never been able to fly in MP Competitions because a Firewall or some type of security feature has prevented her from being able to participate. A while back Tiss told me that she felt like she was letting down the Wing because she wasn’t participating in the MP Competitions. And then last week I was greeted with a wonderful surprise when Tissy claimed her very first LoC! And during this recent competition she garnered an additional 6 LoC’s. Guys, watch out for this little lady, she’s out to knock some of you further down the CR ladder!! Again, congrats to everyone for such an outstanding effort! I trust someone bothered to take some pictures we’ll be able to see of this gathering? :P

I want to also say what a great job I think everyone is doing in his or her MP flying! Two other pilots stand out as well lately, LCM’s Blade and Phantom! Both weren’t sure they had what it takes to be a skilled MP pilot, but decided to give it a shot and support Wing XIV at the same time. Both have turned into great pilots, and in time they will continue to hone their MP skills even further! There are others in the Wing that I would love to brag about as well, but I have to keep this report smaller since the Wing site can’t seem to handle to large of a file. :P

Once again I want to thank CPT Drako for his tireless efforts in keeping the Wing XIV website maintained! I know I’ve probably frustrated him a bit this past week, but he carried on like a trooper and sorted out the minor bugs, and even added a couple of new features as well to the site! Drako has also asked for suggestions for other additional features. Only one thing I have to bug Drako about this week; I’m still waiting for the updated ASFSOP to be uploaded my friend. ;)
