General Information


Once again, this is going to be a LONG report! The level of activity, and all of the events either currently running, or beginning to start is amazing, and therefore it causes my report to look more like a novel!! :P

Another great week has closed, and overall I am still quite impressed by the level of activity Wing XIV continues to generate! J

Wing V and Wing XIV are going to war! Check out the “Wing Competition” section below for full details!!

Once again Wing XIV has seen the return of a former pilot. Welcome back MAJ Azazel, formerly CMDR of Fury Squadron onboard the SSD Avenger. Azazel is a former Diamondback pilot who strayed off to find greener pastures elsewhere, only to discover that he was better off in Wing XIV. He has since returned and is once again serving in Diamondback Squadron! Welcome back Azazel, I’m sure you remember where everything is? ;P

More pilots are coming to Wing XIV! At this time I am aware of 5 more pilots, mostly from other Squadrons, that are in the process of joining us. At this time I want to remind everyone that it is through dedication and persistence that we will continue to grow. So keep recruiting and talking about how well Wing XIV is doing! The one thing that separates Wing XIV from everyone else is the fact that when we talk about how high our activity and morale really are, it’s the truth!! ;)

I'd like to request that in the future any pilot that plans on taking a leave be sure to CC: the Wing Commander when you contact your CMDR and/or FL. As most of you have noticed I keep track of them in my Weekly Wing Report so that everyone is able to see for him or herself who is on leave at any given time. Also, for our newer pilots I want to mention that if you access your TC Profile through the Admin Menu on the TIE Corps database you will find a "Leave Status" section where you can input the beginning and end dates of your leave period. It is critical that you use this feature every time you go on leave. The best part is that it has an automated function so that you can set it well in advance of your leave and the database will automatically enter your profile into leave status on the appropriate date. This also prevents any possible mistakes of a pilot being declared AWOL if they are gone for about a month. So be sure to use this feature each time you take a leave of absence. ;)

Also located in the Edit area of your TC Profile are some other cool features, such as creating your own Callsign, and even giving a Personal Name to your fighter. The more you make use of these custom features the better you can make your profile appear! :)

The Fleet Medical Corps has returned to active duty! I have been informed that our own Jedi Eclipse has been appointed as the new DOC for the ISD Intrepid! Overall the duties of the FMC Officers involve helping individual pilots resolve any disputes they may have with other pilots, and even assist them with resolving any conflicts or matters they may have with their superiors. Under no circumstances do they have authority over any CMDR or Flag Officer, but they do have the capability to help mediate any disputes in an attempt to prevent any HCI attention. However, with the high morale and activity on the ISD Intrepid I’m sure that Jedi is going to find himself far busier with flying and other TC related matters, but it’s nice to know that he’s available for help with other TC-related matters if you need him. I should also point out that all FMC Officers are required to keep all matters brought to them confidential unless the officer gives written permission for them to discuss the matter with their superiors, both in the FMC and TC.

I've been looking through some of the profiles for pilots in Wing XIV, and I'm noticing a number of you still have the old and out-dated uniforms displayed. I want to encourage you to begin using the newer uniforms, especially since they are the actual ones that are authorized by OPS. I know they are missing a number of key items, and your WC/COM/BGCOM are continuing to work on OPS to get replacements of these items added quickly. We are also working on getting OPS to release the new Flight Suits as well. Seems like January came and went, and still those Flight Suits aren't available. If anyone needs a Duty or Ceremonial Uniform created, just let me know and I'll be happy to create one for you. Just send my your Pin # and I'll pull it up instantly for you. If you’re also in the Dark Brotherhood and hold the rank of DJK or higher please let me know as well, this way I can include a lightsaber on your Ceremonial Uniform. A reminder to those of you that are able to create your own uniforms, the final file size must be less than 40 KB. If you are unable to compress the file size to meet this new size requirement, then send the image to me and I'll be more than happy to do it for you. I have a program that allows me to compress files to approximately 1/4 of their original file size, while at the same time allowing the image to remain intact and uncorrupted. ;)

I want to encourage everyone to make use of the ISD Intrepid/Wing XIV website and Message Board. Also be sure to visit the ASF website and Message Board often as well. Both websites contain updated news and information, and both Message Boards are for the use of our personnel to share ideas, thoughts, and concerns. Communication is the key to a successful Wing and Battle Group, so use these tools as often as possible. · The BGCOM has revamped and released the ASFSOP (Aggressor Strike Force Standard Operating Procedure)! I have already forwarded this out to all pilots of Wing XIV, as well as posted it on the ISD Intrepid/Wing XIV Message Board. I want everyone to read over the ASFSOP fully, and give special notice to the section on transfers. These procedures must be followed fully or the BGCOM and Flag Officers will recommend the FO not approve the transfer until such time as the requirements have been met!
· New pilots are on the way to the ISD Intrepid!
· XvT WoW XLVIII awards have been handed out, with Wing XIV claiming a total of 54 victories! Excellent job to all those that attended and supported the EH!! J
· XWA WoW is still underway! Go and support the EH and win some LoC’s!!
· LCM Jedi Eclipse has been appointed as the Fleet Medical Corps Doctor on the ISD Intrepid!
· LCM Blade has revamped the 1v1 training missions he created, and will soon revamp the 2v2 as well! The newly redone 1v1 missions can be found at his Wing14_TRADOC Group site on Yahoo!!
· A reminder to everyone to update your TC Favorite links with the new ones. The tiecorps.org server is no longer accessible, and if you attempt to use those old links you will hit a deadwall. Go to emperorshammer.net and you’ll be able to reset all of your favorites with the correct URL’s!!
· A new feature has been added to the TIE Corps Personnel files, a Historical page. For the older officers this is great since it helps us look back on our own progression through the years. All promotions, new positions, etc. that you’ve held since 1999 are now tracked and stored on this page. I am aware that a few pilots are reporting some erroneous information, but the XO has informed the Flag Officers that due to previous FO’s that didn’t keep the records accurate, some data may be wrong, but there is no way at this time to edit a single file without causing problems with the entire system. So for the time being just be patient with any mistakes until the XO is able to figure out a cure. Also, for the younger pilots this is an opportunity for you to learn more about your Command Officers and see how they worked their way to the ranks and positions they hold now. I believe you’ll see how hard many have worked to get where they are now! ;)
· There’s a new poll on the Wing 14 egroup! I’m not sure who set it up, but feel free to go and select which fighter you think Cobra Squadron should fly in a Battle currently being designed. You can vote at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wing14/surveys?id=10790298!

Wing Competitions


· Wing V vs. Wing XIV Competition! That’s right ladies and gents, we are about to take on Wing V, the former Wing of your WC and COM! Essentially the details are very simple; fly XvT-TC #38, and XWA-TC #29 in the SP events. You are permitted to fly in both platforms. The Top winner in each platform will be awarded the IS-SW! The second place finisher in each Wing will be each be awarded an IS-BW! We will also be running a MP segment, in which the Top Ace pilot who wins the most LoC’s during the comp period will be awarded an IS-SW! And the second place finishers in each Wing will receive an IS-BW! The full details can be found at http://www.emperorshammer.net/to/compdetails.asp?ID=1874, so everyone prepare to go to war! The competition will run from 7/10/02 – 8/7/02! CMDR’s will submit and track each pilots results and then submit a final report to me by 8/8/02!
· Wing XIV Recruiting Competition! The pilot who brings in the most new recruits to Wing XIV during the competition period will be awarded an IS-SR! · Krayt vs. Yod Squadron Competition! A 2-part flying competition:

1. Single Player flying: Fly XvT-FCHG-1. Squadron scores will be averaged across the number of pilots able to particiapte in the squadron (i.e. pilots on leave, or without XvT will not be counted). The winning squadron receives 100 pts; the losing squadron receives points equal to the percentage their score is of the winning score. Top individual score receives an IS-BW.

2. Multiplayer: 2 pilots from each squadron will face each other in a 2 v 2 melee. Squadron scoring will be based on percentage of top score, as above. If the melee can take place during an EH competition time, the winners will receive LoCs. If not, IS-BWs will be awarded.

· SA Astatine has added a new survey relating to a suggestion from CPT Master. Basically, it relates to expanding the range of options for the Location field of members' profiles. To cast your vote for it, login at the admin page.
· The BGCOM has revamped and released the ASFSOP (Aggressor Strike Force Standard Operating Procedure)! It is posted on the ASF and Wing XIV Message Boards! I have also sent out the full document via our Egroup, so I trust everyone will take the time to read it over carefully.
· Avenger Squadron is hosting a Fleet-wide MP tournament. All pilots wishing to join and compete must signup at the Avenger website; http://www.minos.net/~aes/!
· GW COM Azazel has selected LC Sarin to fly for the ASF in the upcoming Imperial Storm III Battle between the ASF and the SSSD Sovereign BG! He has chosen our own CPT Doros as his wingman! Wish them luck, and show up for the engagement to support and cheer them on!! J
· CPT Delak Krennel has changed his official email address to delak@tiefighter.org! Be sure and update your address books accordingly!!
· CPT Drako is the A-CMDR of Diamonback Squadron while CPT Michael is on leave! All Diamondback pilots report in to CPT Drako. All BSF’s are to be sent to the WC, but CC: CPT Drako as well so that he is able to record the activity in the weekly report!!
