General Information


I apologize for this report coming out earlier than usual, but I will be out of town starting very early Friday morning and won’t be returning until sometime early Monday. I expect there will be a ton of BSF’s and other matters for my attention when I return, so have no fear they will be handled quickly as soon as I get back! ;)

Recruiting! Yes, that’s right, he’s at it again! We’re down to 48 pilots again, and this that our recruiting efforts need to be doubled. I would like to ask every pilot in Wing XIV to attempt to recruit at least one new pilot during May! It’s not hard and anyone can send out an email offering assistance to a CT. Plus, with Episode II releasing this month, you can be sure that there may be some Star Wars fans out there that might be interested in joining us and taking a crack at flying for the Imperial side as well! ;)

mIRC! I can’t stress enough how much it impresses me that so many of our newer pilots can be found in the #WingXIV channel each week. So why is it that I don’t see more of the veteran pilots in the channel during the week? The CMDR’s and several FL’s make it there when they can, so what about the remaining FL’s and FM’s who rarely or never make themselves seen in the channel? Lets get more activity in our channel and get to know your fellow pilots more. I”ve learned some great things about my pilots by chatting with them in the channel, and am impressed by the skills and capabilities they all have. So make time and come visit with your fellow Wing mates and get to know them better! J

Activity took a brief dip during the middle of the week for the ASF-SC IV Competition. I’m looking forward to seeing it pickup again over the weekend, so CMDR’s do your best to get those pilot files submitted as soon as you receive them, and pilots do your best to get out to those MP Comps and win those LoC’s!!

Apparently we are missing some LoC’s from events held last weekend. I have contacted the COO about this problem, yet so far have not received any word. If by the time I return from my weekend trip I have no further information then I will be sending up an inquiry through the BGCOM/FO/TO to find out exactly what has happened to those medals!

Wing News

· Wing XIV continues to add more points to the ASF-SC IV scorecard!
· Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding the FO transferred CM Yun from Wing XIV to Wing III earlier than originally planned. L
· All Squadron MSE’s are accounted for! My thanks to the CMDR’s for making this happen in an orderly fashion! J

ASF/TC News

· Nearly all ASF Squadrons have finally received new space superiority fighters! The BGCOM signed the contract with the Devil upon the arrival of the new fighters!!
· ASF-SC IV starting to really heat up! Avenger, Grey Wolf, and the Vanguard are hunting down the Intrepid to steal the lead!
· The Training Office site is in the process of moving. It will be eventually located at http://www.emperorshammer.net/to/. At the moment, most of the files and courses have been uploaded. If you encounter an error, please email me at jpboyce@indigo.net.au
· With the recommendation of his Battlegroup Commander, Subjugator Commodore, Rear Admiral Grail, is today promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral for the tireless support he has given to his ship since it's opening. Congrats Grail!
