THE RATPACK RETURNS ROUND 5
Well Wing V it is finally your turn to face the Ratpack, are you man enough
to beat us, is what you have to ask yourself
As you may have heard from VA Proton, the ratpack is staging a comeback
tour, taking on all you loud mouthed Squadron Commanders who reckon all we
WCs are fit for is flying a desk. We will be taking on all the CMDR's from
all 6 Wings of the Sov.
You lucky chaps will be our Fifth batch of suckers...ummmm opponents. All
you have to do is fly TIE-TC 177 (Wing V CMDR`s may fly TC-XWA 21) and get your
files to myself and COM/VA Proton by the 15th March 2002, Midnight GMT. All
scores will be laserless and the team with the highest total will be
declared the winners no-more than 36hrs after the due date.
Whats in it for you I hear you cry. well if your the highest scoring pilot
you will get a nice shiney Iron Star - Silver Wings and the runner up gets a
Iron Star - Bronze Wings. Not only that, if you CMDR's win you get bragging
rights over a bunch of old senile drunkards (well in my case anyways) :P

New Episode II Trailer

The new Star Wars Episode II Trailer called "Clone War" airs March 10 on FOX and starwars.com between original episodes of "Malcolm in the Middle" (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) and "The X-Files" (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
The trailer will also begin playing in cinemas on March 15, exclusively with the animated feature Ice Age, and other films thereafter.
Wing IV Defeats Wing V In Grudge Match

In a competition using TIE-FCHG Battle 3, COL Reaper's pilots bested the Wing V bunch led by COL SickMan. LC Halcyon of Teth and MAJ Yoman of Mem were the individual top pilots for their respective wings. Congratulations to Wing IV and the medal winners! Oh, one more thing: Because his wing lost, CM Murkrow Defender had to give up his infamous prank monkey. Wing IV promptly barbecued the pest and enjoyed the fixin's as a cantina snack.
RE: Reporting errors

The web server software that this site runs on usually gives very detailed error messages as to what the problem is relating to an error. However, by default, Internet Explorer suppresses these detailed reports, instead displaying a generic "Error 500" message. In IE 6, to turn on these detailed messages, go to Tools>Internet Options. Then select the Advanced tab. Under the Browsing heading is an item called "Show friendly HTTP error messages". You want that unchecked if you want the detailed error reports to come up.

New Jedi Knight 2 trailer

A second trailer for Jedi Knight 2 has been released and this one is pretty good. Twice the length of the one on the Lucasarts site, it gives a very nice indication of the scale of the levels we can expect, the gameplay and what multiplayer will look like. The good thing is it doesn't seem to play like a Quake 3 mod. You can get it at http://files.ausgamers.com/?agn=details&id=1621. The trailer is 14.6megs and a zipped AVI file, using the Divx codec.

Prelude to Andevia extended by one week

Prelude to Andevia's closing date has been extended by one week, to 14th March 2002. The competition really needs entries in the fiction, design and other category sections. Most of the fiction events have been updated so you can now work in teams on them if you so wish. Also, some rules have been updated, so be sure to check the competition's site for details on this. Tip on fiction stuff - one of your main goals with your fiction is to give some sort of explanation for what's happened on Andevia. So, for example, when doing an alien species entry, it'd be a good idea to include some sort of characteristic that would result in the events so far.

ORATORS OF AIRLOCK# 21
Orator of the week:
*MD accesses a terminal and checks the Fleet news report. After reading teh first few storys he pulls off his comm unit. "Mojo I want sleeper cell 110 activated now, I will meet you in my office in a few minutes."
Mean wile on teh bridge of the mighty Sov Proton goes about his daily rutine. Sudenly as he is about to go to one of the many cantina's for an "inspection" his jedi sences discover something odd in the conduits above him. he races along to try and keep up with what ever is above him, hoping to catch asnd dispose of the pest that is in the ceilings. He follows the creature all the way into teh airlock and then notices that for teh first tiem ever the wing V drinking hole is conpletly devoid of life! Knowing that that meant doom he turns to run out the door to find MD staring him in teh eye at the door."What do you want MD? you know you are no match fro me" Proton says, hopping he can convince teh CPT not to strike. "I am sorry Proton but that bit about my monkey in the news was just unacceptable. Now I know that I am no match for you but I also know that my monkeys are. Get him boys!" With those words A force feild goes up around proton and in one quik strike teh monkey Proton was chasing fell from the ceiling panel and grabed the lightsaber off his belt. Then from around MD, monkeys start pooring into teh airlock and circle the defenceless COM then a groups of fighters does the same. MD turns to leave as the doors of the airlock start to close. MD turns and fires off the first shot of EEC as teh doors close to seal Proton's fate.* I am hoping you guys know what came next:P

MD's face staring back at Nick. From the back bathroom you can hear
screams.... Nick turns to Sicky and says is that legal? Sicky says As
long as the Ratpack is in Wing V it is. Looks toward the room and sees
mojo walking out with a EEC gun in his hand and in his other hand is
protons lightsaber. Then Nick invites his otters in for the nightly
bikini party that sicky throws.
