1. Weekly Tidbits
There appears to have been a bit of a hiccup in the transfer of data from the original location of
the TIE Corps Database to the new one. You are encouraged to check out your personal profile
and to see if all of your medals, missions and IWATS courses have been transferred over.
It is a good idea to archive a copy of all awards, etc that you receive, just in case they need to be
resubmitted.
I do keep an electronic copy of every award, BSF or IWATS graduation that comes across my
desk....but I don’t usually keep hard copies, and therefore lose them when I have a systems crash
or worse. I’ll see about picking up some more printer paper and an ink cartridge to redress the
hardcopy issue.

A. MSE’s and Reports
I have received this weeks squadron reports from Shin squadron and have been informed to the
status of others. Please remember to turn this in as close to Friday or Saturday as possible.

There has been a slight increase in communications, and I am well pleased. Keep it up.
We need some new websites................does anyone have any ideas on hosts, or designers within
the wing?

3. Wing/Squadron Communications.
I’ve got an open IM policy. If you see me online, you can chat with me.
I’m at grvsmith for AIM, grvsmith@hotmail for MSM, Frideger2001 for Yahoo Messenger, and
I do have ICQ, but rarely use, and will “”“”re re re”“” download mIRC and ask for my password
again (I hate computer crashes....).
At this time I have no set wing meeting and do not know of set squadron meetings on IRC.
4. SOVEREIGN NEWS.
The Rat Pack defeated Wing V in a competition. They have challenged your commanders, Wing
VI....but we only have three commanders. Are you up to it or should I see if we can add Flight
Leaders to the mix??
5. WING VI STANDING ORDERS.
A. Communications
i. All members are required to maintain contact with their assigned unit in the TIE Corps with at
least ONE email per month. (This is paraphrased from the TIE Corps Rules and Regulations).
ii. All official communications opening with the term
ID/signature line require a response.
iii. The Wing VI egroup mailing list is an official resource for orders and news of the wing.
However, until this order is rescinded it is also to be used for fun and games. Those that have
problem with the amount of mail that this generates are encouraged to switch their mailing
preference to either daily digest or read on the web.
(DO NOT USE THE egroup TO RESPOND TO OFFICIAL MAIL, REPLY TO THE SENDER!)
iiii. All members of the wing are encouraged (not required) to get AIM, Yahoo Messenger,
MSM, ICQ or mIRC. I have all of these (and shall have to reinstall mIRC....::grumbles::).
B. Flight Duties
i. At this time, pilots are encouraged to participate in all open competitions and also to do at
least one independant TIE Free Mission a month. ((Again, this is not required.))
C. Reporting Duties.
i. Squadron Commanders are required to submit weekly reports no later than Sunday morning at
11:59am Eastern Standard Time.
ii. Squadron Commanders are required to submit Monthly Squadron Evaluations no later than
the last day of each calendar month.
