                              Wing News
Im sure you have noticed our loss of quite a few good pilots this past week. Many due to RL constraints and a few to who knows what after a few squad awol checks. I hope everyone is focusing on recruitment, so we can continue to fill our roster and keep the Van on top.

Two new Flight Leaders have been named this past week. CM Sayo was appointed to Scorpions 2 Flight and COL Striker takes over managing Hornets 3 Flight. Both are accomplished officers and should be fine additions to their squadrons. There are still a few FL spots open in the wing. If you are interested in moving up in the wing this is the starting point. If you want to give it a shot just send the cmdr an email telling him why you think you have what it takes to get the job done.

                         
                                            Fleet News
1.  The Parallax War is now going full force. We need all able body pilots flying. Check it out in the irc channel #Parallax.
2. Wing XI WC job is open for applications. If you are interested in applying for this job check out the TC news page for requirements. 
3.  The Internet Officer, Ari, has just published his 100th report. This is quite an accomplishment so if you see him around, thank him for his hard work and continued dedication to the EH.
4.  There are several TO office jobs open for applications. If you are interested check the TC news page for job vacancies.


                   Vanguard standing orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

Standing Order #2: Reports
I expect a Squadron report every week from every Commander on Friday  and Squadron MSE's are due on the 1st unless I am told in advance of a RL situation that prevents you from sending one in on time but I do expect it when you return from leave.  This will get you removed from command immediately.  They must also be uploaded to the database.

Standing Order #3: AWOL's
All AWOL requests must be approved by the WC and the COM before sending them in to the FO.  This is not to resurp your command it is to give us the chance of emailing the pilots personally to try and find out their situations and give them one last chance to get back to active status.

                         COMPETITIONS
FCHG COMPETITION
The Pilot gaining the most FCHG Points during the month will receive an IS-SW and the runner up will get a IS-BW.

VANGUARD JOUST
Our Mp competition with points being awarded as follows:
10 POINTS---DFC
05 POINTS---PER WIN
03 POINTS---PER LOSS
01 POINTS---EACH COMPETITION PARTICIPATED IN
The one with the most points receives an IS-SW and the runner up gets an IS-BW.

RECRUITMENT COMPEITION
The Pilot assisting and aiding in the placement of the most recruits(cadets or reservists) during the month will receive an IS-SR and the runner up will receive an IS-BR.

VANFLYING COMPS
 
Sicky has some new comps in process so look for those soon.  I will also be announcing another big comp for the Van that will begin on August first.  Its an old comp we have been running for awhile that promotes hard work and alot of competiveness so look for details on that very soon.

                   Wing XV August Competition
Thats right boys and girls its time for another big competition and its been two months since we have done much so heres what we are going to do.  Many of you may have never heard of TOP DOG but our veterans are very familiar with it.  It pits all of our squadrons against each other.  Pilots accumulate points for almost everthing they do and the squadron with the most points at the end are declared the Vans Top Dog.  Other than that it will be good for tons of medals in addition to monthly medals and hopefully it will jump start our somewhat poor activity levels lately.  This is similar in rules to the Supremecy Comp which the Van had a decent showing this last time but which we have NEVER won.  Anyway you will be getting the rules in your inboxes in a few days from your cmdrs.  We will finish ironing out the rules and such so get ready for it.
