Fenn thought about his sister Savannah and chuckled. On the streets of Nar Shaddaa as children, he had been the protector. Years later, she was saving him and he was learning from her—like the recently acquired skill in Noghri knifefighting. He’d given her the callsign GhostHawk out of respect when she officially announced her status as a Hunter in the Bounty Hunter’s Guild.

Fenn removed the scanner shades from a belt pouch and put them on, unfolding the micro-thin voice pickup along his jaw.

"Feed me."

Images winked over his view, coalescing into graphics and alphanumerics, scanning data denoting lifeforms and power sources, culled from Moira’s sensor scans.

"They don’t seem to be hostile."

"I’m standing in Clan Taldryan territory. Considering how the former Dark Brotherhood leadership tried to stamp us out, we have to be hostile."

Fenn stood momentarily and breathed deeply of the sweet air. The Taldryan homeworld Sahare hang low and serene in the afternoon sky, filling most of it like a pale silvery disc.

The Sith pilots guarding the Sahare and the Archanis homeworld of Herkti III almost shot him down before they realized it was him returning from his self-imposed exile. Though he had taken this step to protect certain people from the immediate reprisal of the Dark Brotherhood’s Grand Master—former GM, Fenn corrected himself—he’d always been available for Archanis outsystems missions. Rising in the ranks of the TIE Corps during his exile ensured the Dark Brotherhood made no serious attempt to have him exterminated.

Now, due to a series of political maneuverings, his own Battle Group Commander had risen to the Iron Throne, lifting any edicts against his life.

"Nervous?" Moira said over the link.

"I don’t get nervous."

"Right."

"When did you become so annoying?"

"The moment you downloaded me into a ship with a bunch of guns on it."

Fenn chuckled. "Make yourself useful and access the House databanks."

As the requested info appeared over his vision, he eyed the obelisk guarding the main entrance to the Archanis stronghold.

He was home and possibilities in the Dark Brotherhood lay open before him across a vast spiritual vista. Despite his denial, Fenn was indeed a little nervous about the unfamiliar territory those possibilities represented…
