Wing IV News
1) Yod Squadron's Comp with Slayer has come to a conclusion, all the files were due in yesterday to the best of my knowledge (Which ain't great :P). Still awaiting the results so more news when as soon as I hear
2) As you are more than well aware, the Teth CMDR position is still open if you wish to apply send your apps to myself and COM/VA Proton (Hullbreach@aol.com)
3) What about the Cheth CMDR position I hear you cry. Well I am no longer accepting apps for this position.I've interviewed all the candidates and have choosen the man I want for the job. All the paperwork is being drawn up and hopefully they will be in place by next weekend. More news as soon as I hear back.
4) Power Mascot Battles has been announced and is currently running. Fresh from the warped and frankly disturbing mind of COL Fordio of Wing II. The first round is the Trivia. I have no idea how many of you have entered this so let me know. The closing date for the 1st round is due tomorrow 6th November, so get too it. BTW I get to judge the TIE flying part, woohoo!!
5) The other comp currently running is basically a FCHG Race (Jack's Ultimate Scramble). So far Yod Squadron has been flying a storm as per normal but the showing from the rest of you has been poor to say the least :(. Lets get to it, this is our chance to kick the Sov's collective ass just like we did with the previous FCHG Race (even I have dusted off my fighter :P)
6) As of the 1st November I am bringing back the WC's Own, CMDR of the month and Pilot of the Month. Things like participation in comps etc will be a determining factor :)

The recommendation of his former WC and COM, I've awarded LC Mini Minkus the Gold Star of the Empire in recognition of all of his work and achievements as Commander of Teth Squadron. Congrats Munkus!

4) Wing VI WC Steps Down

Lieutenant Colonel Jesseb has announced his decision to step down as Wing Commander for Wing VI, and take up a FM's position in Zeta. This means that the position is now vacant and Rear Admiral Proton is now accepting applications for a new WC. He requests that all applicants should have a sense of fair play, a good work ethic and a creative streak that will lead to constant activity and fun throughout the Wing.

5) Tactical Manual updated

Version 1.6 of the Tactical Manual has been uploaded. Updates are about Combined Arms Battles, Medals of Tactics, length of TIE Battles, and the Cheating Policy concerning unlimited weapons in XWA and reflying XvT missions.
6) EH vs UPA!

The second round of EH vs. UPA competition starts tomorrow! Some of you might remember the first one that took place a bit less than a year and a half ago.
Like any challenge competition, it will be hosted by Battlestats. Links to the war sites are available in the entries in the combat calendar, which should be visible on the right side of this page as well. For tips on getting signed up, see my first COO report.
