About tea time,
WC SickMan looked out at the stars from a view port, 2 TIE fighters were practicing dogfighting, both rolling & twisting trying to get in the line of sight and burst a few shots off. SickMan stood there reminising of older times, victories won, battles won, faces that have come & gone, old friends that have went on to higher things & the proud moments of seeing what were once fresh faced cadets taking command of their first squadron.
Yes SickMan was doing alot of reminsing lately as RL got in the way alot, and the traveling from the SOV to Aurora Prime gave him time to reflect, it had not been a easy ride the past few months in Wing V, yes SickMan had a few more grey hairs, but he knew at heart that this was just another chapter in Wing V, as each page turned there were ups and downs, but if Wing V was a book, it would be a damn fine read, a bestseller:)
The 2 TIE fighters had, had enough and were going back to the SOV like 2 infants going back to their mother for a feed, SickMan rubbed the stubble on his chin, yes that tiredness had returned, he would have to rely on the force again to take the fatigue away, he had used the force alot of the past weeks with all the RL travelling and heavy recruitment, but it was worth it, there were new memories to find, new adventures to be found with Wing V & new glory to bring to the Empire!
Something tugged at SickMan trousers, there tugging at his right trouser leg was Pip......The Imperial dog trying to get his masters attention.
"What is it Pip?"
A crackle sound escaped as his voice box kicked in
"They are ready for you"
"Who?"
"The CMDR`s you Numbnut, it`s Saturday.........Card Night remember?"
"Oh yeah, sorry i was light years away"
"Thats a sign of old age"
"What is?"
"Memory loss"
They both walked down the corridor towards Airlock#21
"Hey Pip, don`t call me a numbnut"
"I never called you that"
"Yeah you did before, thats a sign of old age"

"Memory loss"
Pip looked at his master and said
"Bite me!"

Mascot Power Battles Round 4: Tie Mission Design
I am LC Halcyon, and I shall be judging the Tie Mission Creation portion
of this contest.
There is only one condition that you must keep in mind when designing your
mission; your wing's mascot must be featured in the mission. It doesn't
have to play a huge part in the mission itself, but the mascot must show-up
somehow. And remember, when designing a mission, the more original the
mission, the higher the marks. I also have a sense of humour, so that may
or may not help your marks.
All missions are due into me (eh_halcyon@hotmail.com) by December 21st,

Sirs,
I am pleased to announce the fiction section of the Mascot Power
Battles! Albeit rather delayed, the following instructions are
guaranteed to delight and amaze your pilots. So without further
brouhaha and shenanigans, here we go:
o Submissions for the competition will be accepted between December 12th
and December 26th.
o Any major type of fiction will be accepted: short stories,
poetry, jokes, and haikus are all fantastic. Length is not a concern,
but if you write a sonnet about your mascot, it should definitely have
the correct number of lines. If you write a joke about Wing II's
Mariachi MiniFords, it should definitely be funny.
o All submissions must include one or more wing mascots as major
characters or themes, and all portrayals of mascots must be true to
their descriptions as provided by VA Proton in the SSSD Sovereign
Sourcebook (see Sov Report from 12/10/2001). Ford and Aylius Khan
still need to provide descriptions for their mascots, apparently. You
two are at liberty to release those any time you wish.
o Submissions will be subjected to rigorous quality testing and
evaluated on spelling/grammar, humor value, accuracy, and wittiness.
I will attempt to judge each piece in the spirit in which it was
written if possible (scary stories will be rated on scariness, while
funny ones will be rated on funniness, for instance).

Nov. 1st: Competition begins at midnight no matter your time zone.
Every Wednesday after: Progress reports to be handed out
11:59:59 December 31st: Final battles to be received
January 1-4: final scores posted, Wing Champions determined
January 5th, The Final Showdown: The six Wing Champions compete in the ultimate test, it has been decided that if all pilots have XWA, the Showdown will be held in #Airlock54 at 17:00 EST (5:00 PM)
Now the Rules:
1. All battles must be received between the exact times of 00:00:00 November 1st and 23:59:59 December 31st
2. Wing Champions must respond to the Showdown invitation on January 4th (seperate from the final scores) or else Wing Runner-Ups will be declared Wing Champions
3. All pilots should submit at least 4 battles and/or free missions each week
4. Battles previously flown for database may be reflown for the competition.
Regulations:
1. Absolutely no person may use invulnerability or unlimited weapons unless I rule it nessacery to use them
2. Any battle found using the above violation will not be counted for anything and will be stricken from the record
3. Wing Champions must participate in the Final Showdown.

hey kettch, I think you should re-do that when you are more awake cause it was imposible to understand. All I got was there are some ewoks trying to get me adn my monkeys are doing monty python performances or something?(by the way the performances will be in the airlock every night. admission is 12 IC for teh show adn a drink) A gumby(monty python) shouting is usually easier to comprehend(no ofence) though mine probably isn't much better so I will just shut up now and crush Face with a giant cardboard, cut-out foot:P
