It is open to ALL members of the Emperor's Hammer, regardless of subgroup, rank or position. It features flying, design, fiction and other events. Saturday · January 05 · 2002 Reminder about mission skipping - 13:25 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org] Skipping a mission is only tolerated in case of a fatal bug, which is extremely rare these days. If the procedure stated in the cheating policy is not followed, the BSF is simply cancelled without any notification (because the database doesn't support it yet). Actually, skipping a mission for any reason may be forbidden in a near future, if people keep ignoring the procedures. Unknown Commands on IRC - 11:19 - FA Stalker5 [Stalker5@rothwell-clieves.freeserve.co.uk] We have been seeing a lot of people using unknown commands and scripts on IRC channels recently, some of which can be malicious to your IRC Client. These scripts work primarily on human operators running the scripts out of curiosity and infect the victims IRC Client. I would like to advise all members of the Emperor's Hammer that it is usually a very bad idea to run any script you do not know exactly what it does from the code as it can do damage to your client and also if malicious may well earn you a ban and HCI trial. This will help aid us in determining if a medal or promotion is warranted for the Pilots activity. The list shown is subject to be upgraded at anytime, so CMDR's and personnel should refer back anytime points are to be awarded for activity to ensure points accuracy. Additional Notes: These points will also be used to give a pilot negative numbers if they are not on leave then that means they are available to do competitions and stuff that goes on in the squadrons or for the wing, or for the fleet. The less amount of time a pilot does stuff then its quite possible he or she can get a rather large negative number. When that happens, what ever number is decided on, then that pilot maybe processed for separation from the Wing.   Also a question was posed about if a comp is for say, XWA and a pilot doesn't have it or if he does have it and doesn't fly for it. What is to come of that? Well this is the deal for that situation: If the pilot doesn't have XWA then no points are deducted. If the pilot has XWA and doesn't fly, unless he/she is on leave then points will be deducted. Even if you suck at something, like fiction writing, the whole point here is to participate and show the effort, which every pilot can do. So basically they have to participate in some way or the other. Lest they lose points if they don't and face the possibility of being removed from the ship. It should also be reminded that CMDR's should track themselves as well.   CAB's/Battles are treated as missions, in other words if you do a CAB battle with 20 missions then you get 200 points + 20 for completing the battle. If you do a Battle with 4 missions then you get 40 points + 20 for completing the battle. * = Must be verified by CMDR from the BGCOM in order to attain the points ** = If points given for something not listed, but CMDR should mail the WC, and COM about the subject matter so that it could be added. *** = If pilot is on leave then no points deducted. But pilot must have his profile updated for this to count. This should act as a deterrent for those lame pilots who are just taking up space. ISDCA#3   Zystem Fryar took the title in what turned out to be a very poor showing from the Wing. Executor was runner up.   Database   The Squadron Statistics pages are proving to be a big hit. They are at least part of the reason why we took TCCOM's award for December. Use them to improve yourselves and your squadrons. I am working on a new database that will link into these statistics pages so a lot more information will be clearer to see. REVIEWS   E-Mail Not much going on here.. Mostly congratulations for the recent promotions.   Message Boards Not many new posts on the Wing Message Board. Lets just makes sure that it doesn't last all month.. He's only just arrived and yet he outshines everyone in the wing. Well done! He's abley supported by Wysseri Arestar, who complained to me earlier in the week because I was spelling her name wrong.. whoops :P Pilot of the Month 1st Marconius Iota Squadron 49 BSF's , 270 Missions 2nd Saadam Pi Squadron 46 BSF's, 210 Missions 3rd Ace Omicron Squadron 136 BSFs, 197 Missions 4th Indaro Gallia Eta Squadron 29 BSFs, 195 Missions 5th Zystem Fryar Pi Squadron 35 BSFs, 188 Missions   These are the final standings from last month. Marconius took the top award by some margin after his quest to fly everything availible. Saadam recovered well after mid-month disaster (PC Problems) to take second place. Ace was consistant all month but concentrated on Free Missions rather than battles. He'll just have to satisfy himself with winning the Mass Conflag. Indaro had an even better month than his previous when he won Battlegroup Commander of the Month. All but one mission of Zystem Fryar's total all came in a final week blitz.   Squadron of the Week 1st  Omicron Squadron 23 BSFs, 80 Missions x 2nd  Eta Squadron 9 BSFs, 44 Missions 5 3rd  Mu Squadron 7 BSFs, 35 Missions 5 4th  Pi Squadron 6 BSFs, 29 Missions x 5th  Nu Squadron 9 BSFs, 25 Missions x 6th  Iota Squadron 1 BSFs, 4 Missions 6   Omicron are beginning to show the consistency that has helped Eta over the past couple of months. Top of the tree for the second time in a row. However, I suspect Eta and Pi won't let them stay there for long. A good showing from Mu puts them third in the table, whats even more interesting is they managed to fly exactly half of the total they managed for the whole of last month, why can't you do that every week guys? Iota are the big losers this week, Marconius not flying has left them bottom of the pile. Only a lone BSF from Daniel Stephens stopped them from having nothing on the board. Squadron of the Month 1st  Eta Squadron 98 BSFs, 554 Missions x 2nd  Pi Squadron 116 BSFs, 476 Missions 5 3rd  Omicron Squadron 209 BSFs, 416 Missions x 4th  Iota Squadron 98 BSFs, 406 Missions 6 5th  Nu Squadron 31 BSFs, 75 Missions 5 6th  Mu Squadron 18 BSFs, 71 Missions 6 Eta Squadron once again claim Squadron of the Month by blowing away all competition in a final week blitz. Together, they all flew a total of 310 missions. A superb team effort. Zystem Fryar's final week blitz elevated Pi Squadron to second place in the standings. Omicron held on to third place despite heavy pressure from Iota Squadron (and Marconius in particular). Nu Squadron pipped Mu Squadron and relegated the latter to the wooden spoon for the month of December.     RECRUITMENT    Mu Squadron 6 2  Nu Squadron 51  Pi Squadron 43  Omicron Squadron 6 2  Iota Squadron 43  Eta Squadron 51  WING TOTAL 6 2 Mu Squadron lost Dirgo, Silencer, Bigron and look set to lose Majestic later this week unless he replies to my final letter. They did however gain Ric Gravin who joins as their new Flight leader. Nu Squadron gained one pilot, Fulcrum joins us straight from Daedulus. Pi Squadron stay the same, Omicron lost Endymion and Greeko Rojin. Iota are unchanged and Eta gained the services of Vuffi Raa, an excellent officer formerly of the Challenge. Overall we are down two pilots from last report. There are 28 Emails in my recruitment inbox which comes direct from the cadet auto-mailer.
