TIE CORPS NEWS: Looks to have been a quiet week in the Corps on the whole. Some of the offices have done reports, but on the whole it’s been quiet. The only big change was Slade’s move to the Reserves. “Not a creature was stirring” as the old rhyme goes. Your WC reports, you decide. WING NEWS: We’re back from leave, and there are some announcements to be made. First the bad news: I need MSEs from all CMDRs and A-CMDRs ASAP! Use the MSE generator at http://www.isdcolossus.com/relentless. I need these as soon as possible so that I can put the Wing Monthly Report together as well.

Another note: my e-mail address is changing to krax_tarnisar@yahoo.com. I got tired of messing with Excite’s changeover….

Finally, and perhaps most sadly, RL circumstances have forced two of Wing IX’s Squadron Commanders to step down. CAPT Jack Pavz of Shield and CM Argyle Ironfist of Spear both resigned this past week. Please join me in wishing these two outstanding officers well! Hopefully they’ll be able to return to our ranks in the future.

*COMMAND OPENINGS*: Yes, there are command openings in the Wing now. I’m currently taking applications for CMDRs of Shield, Spear, and Crossbow Squadrons. I’m also accepting applications for two FL positions in Crossbow Squadron. All applications need to reach me before January 9, and should be accompanied by a recommendation from your current superior. I’d really like to fill these openings from within the Wing, so get those applications in quickly.

DECEMBER WCO: It’s official! The first winner of the WCO is….(drum roll, please)…Hammer Squadron! They won by over 100 points! Good job! You’ll be getting the WCO banner shortly, and I’ll be flying with you in any outside competitions you have this month.

CROSSBOW SQUADRON: For those of you who might have missed the earlier announcement, we are in the process of reopening Crossbow Squadron. Once a CMDR and two FLs have been selected, we’ll petition the FO to reopen Crossbow. We will also be accepting internal transfers should any of you wish to move once the Squadron’s open.

MULTI-PLAYER: I’d like all Wing IX members who are capable of multi-player operations (XvT or XWA) and interested in such events to let their Squadron Commanders know. I’m thinking of designating one or two Squadrons as “multi-player capable.” You’ll still be TIE squadrons, but will be capable of taking part in MP competitions and events. This should widen our activity.

Don’t forget about mailing lists! The wingix list is working now, and I’d encourage all of you to use it (even if it’s just to say hi to the wing). Most of the Squadrons have them as well, and I’d encourage the Squadron that doesn’t to get one. Use your lists, people! It’s a good, fun way to stay active and to get to know the people in your Squadron and your Wing. If you have any questions about the mailing lists, get in touch with your CMDR or with me.

One final note: CHEATING! DON’T DO IT! It’s been proven to cause acne in lab rats, as well as a really bad rash once the chain of command gets done chewing on your backside. It’s also a one-way ticket OUT of Wing IX. We will not cheat, nor tolerate those among us who do.

SQUADRON ACTIVITIES: Since everyone was on leave, I’ve chosen not to update this section. Next week’s report will contain a full update, including current WCO standings for January. I’ll also be updating the transfers and the like. Sword’s welcomed aboard two SLs, one from the Daedalus and one transferring in from Wing VIII. There’s also word that two veterans of the Wing will be returning to our ranks soon.
