Pilots of Wing I:

First off I would like to apologize profusely for the delays in
getting these reports out lately. Life was spinning out of control,
and now it's back at a manageable level. As an additional bonus,
winter break has started and I should have plenty of time to get
caught up with the incredible pile of stuff in my WC inbox.

The most important thing to me at the moment is recruiting! I have
heard several people in several squadrons talking about recruiting and
wanting to know exactly what the deal is with it. I would like to take
this opportunity to say that the PLT Daedalus is NOT the mystical pool
of eager young recruits that it first appears to be. In fact, most of
the people on the Daedalus have already decided what squadron they
want to join and if you email them, you are already too late. A much
better way to easily find people to join your squadron is to join
another EH subgroup and find some of the many people who have left the
TIE Corps for one reason or another or have never been in it to begin
with. There are lots of them out there, folks. Find them and convince
them that your squadron is the best, and you will have experienced
EHers joining your squadron in droves. Happy recruiting!

Next off we have the mascot power battles. I will be bringing everyone
up to date on the regrettable situation there. I'm sure with a little
effort we can do better than we have been. CMDRs, I will be seeing you
in my office shortly to discuss our battle plans.

Finally, we have Jack's Ultimate Scramble. The object is to fly as
much as you possibly can before the end of the year. It's essentially
a FCHG race. If you don't have the info on this competition, please
contact your CMDR or myself.

In other news tonight, the mailing lists are working far better than
they were the last time I wrote a wing report. I urge everyone to make
use of it, but to please observe the rules of netiquette as well to
avoid the need to moderate the list. If you are unsure of the ways of
netiquette, please contact either myself or your CMDR for a quick
refresher.
