Wing IV News
1) As most of you might know by now, Zayin and Kaph Squadron will be facing off against each other starting tomorrow. The choosen mission is TIe-FREE 183. Completed pilot files should be sent to your Squadron Commander. All files are due in by the 14th January 2002.

2) Yod Squadron will be locked in mortal combat with Lamed Squadron The mission is TIE-FREE 181 and is due to your own Squadron CMDR by the 12th January. May the best squadron Win (/me pssssst Bret you still running you illegal gambling operation? :P)
3) As you may now be aware, LT HicRic is not really our Doctor. due to an error by the FMC (I really can't believe they could make an error :P). Not too sure what is happening about that at the moment, but will let you know when I find out more.
4) LCM Jack's Ultimate Scramble has reached the Champion Ships. The final standings look like this.

So congrats to Wing III on clinching victory at the last moment and well done to you shower on reaching second, not as good as first but nevermind eh.

5) Mascot Power Battles has entered its last phase. The TIE Division. The choosen battle is TIE-TC 125 (see attached) and is due into the judge (me) by midnight GMT 17th January. At the moment we are lying in 3rd place. The current standings are as follows

1) Security Officer Settling In

Greetings all... I have recently been getting to grips with the Office of Security. Any questions currently should be sent to me at stalker5@rothwell-clieves.freeserve.co.uk regarding anything related to the Security of the Club. The Imperial Security Bureau will be sorted out shortly.
2) Unknown Commands on IRC

We have been seeing a lot of people using unknown commands and scripts on IRC channels recently, some of which can be malicious to your IRC Client. These scripts work primarily on human operators running the scripts out of curiosity and infect the victims IRC Client. I would like to advise all members of the Emperor's Hammer that it is usually a very bad idea to run any script you do not know exactly what it does from the code as it can do damage to your client and also if malicious may well earn you a ban and HCI trial.
3) Reminder about mission skipping

Skipping a mission is only tolerated in case of a fatal bug, which is extremely rare these days. If the procedure stated in the cheating policy is not followed, the BSF is simply cancelled without any notification (because the database doesn't support it yet). Actually, skipping a mission for any reason may be forbidden in a near future, if people keep ignoring the procedures.

Today the Prelude to Andevia competition starts. It is open to ALL members of the Emperor's Hammer, regardless of subgroup, rank or position. It features flying, design, fiction and other events. The competition website is available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/comps/prelude/.
5) -- Reminder, the Sovereign banner design contest, Jan. 1-31.
Two categories:
Splash banner: 640x480 maximum size, gif or jpg format.
Link banner: 475x75 maximum size, gif or jpg format.
Awards: IS-GR, SR, BR in each category.
These banners are to be used on the Sovereign Web site and other sites as graphic representations of the SSSD Sovereign. All suitable entries will be posted in the Sovereign Art Gallery.

6) ** CLONES **
For the time-being, I won't be approving any more new clones. This doesn't affect any exisiting clones - remember that they should be registered and approved by the Flight Office. Failure to do so is a violation of the Articles of War, and I'm sure the new Security Officer doesn't mind flexing his...uh, new muscles (that sounds so wrong :P).
Anyway, if you're unsure about anything, then just send me and email and I'll be glad to help out. NOTE: Clone information can be kept confidential if required.
