Excellent, Wing V numbers have increased, Welcome to Talon Draygo and Filmfreak to the family fold, also activity is up again, medals are about to be awarded to the skillful winner`s of the Feb comps and the March comps are ready and waiting for you below...........there is 9 of them:)
And Sicky has a new ship called "Flying Bikini" a modifyed Muurian Transport that should meet my demands hehe, thanks to all that entered the ship comps, unfortunately i can only award 1 medal per comp, it was a very tough choice to choose.
You can find the story and about my new ship in the attached zip.
Now i`m off to fly my new ship with a few ladies, drinks are free in Airlock#21 for the next hour............never say Sicky doesn`t spoil you all, get flying Wing V !!!

Wing IV and Wing V
The proposed comp it to run for the month of February, to settle a dispute between the 2 wings. Laserless scoring will be used as per normal in a TF comp, and the wing with the highest laserless score will be deemed the winner.
The judge will be COM/VA Proton
The highest scoring member of each wing will be awarded an IS-SW and each runner up will be awarded an IS-BW.
As well as the usual awards we have decided that should the winner of the comp be Wing IV we will receive on of CM Defender's Prank Monkeys and if Wing V win they will get one of CPT Bret's highest earning Ewoks, just to make it a bit more interesting ;)

FEBRUARY COMPS
WC SickMan`s famous TIE Defender "Dark Side of Aquarius" has been destroyed in battle, the lovable WC escaped from a firery death but is badly wounded. While he receives his bacta tank treatment members of Wing V have various tasks to do:
1) Write a story of SickMans battle ending in the destruction of his ship, why was his ship destroyed? was it espinonage? was it pilot error? or something else........something illusive?
Winner will recieve a IS-SR (WINNER IS MAJ Benjamin Jahou Morgan )
2) SickMan needs a new ship, but what kind? a fighter? a freighter? pick new ship for the WC of Wing V, and think up a new name for it.
Think of a ship & name that best suits Sickys lifestyle and personality:)

3) Design a free mission or battle on any format of the events leading up and/or after the destruction of Sickys ship, it must contain all squadrons of Wing V, it could be a huge battle of Wing V or Sicky on one of his adventures & Wing V to the rescue:)

the normal 10 questions, it's going to be in essay form!

New Tactical Staff Database

Thanks to the hard work of Rear Admiral Grail SoulChaser, the Tactical Staff has now a fully functional database, with beta battles and beta testers, at http://www.isdchallenge.org/tacDB. You can access there the listing of battles in the hands of the Tactical Staff, with their current status, beta reports etc. Right now, most of the staff need to be added, and battles status are not yet accurate. Please give us some time so we can be able to use fully this wonderful new tool.

Wing XVIII WC Resigns

A couple of days ago, Lieutenant Colonel Fenn Logan announced his resignation as Wing Commander for Wing XVIII on the SSD Avenger. Applications for a new WC are now being accepted, with the following requirements:
Prior experience as a Squadron Commmander for at least SIX months.
Membership in the Dark Brotherhood, with the rank of Acolyte or higher.
Absolute reliability in turning in weekly reports and other admin duties.
Email response time of no more than 36 hours.
Strong online presence (IRC, message boards, meetings etc).
No serious HCI convictions within the last year.
Wing XVIII has recently converted it's primary game platform to XWA Single Player, so familiarity with the workings of this game is essential.
All applications for this position should be sent to Rear Admiral Shadowhawk and Vice Admiral Jeff Loruss. They will be accepted until this Wednesday, and please put "I wanna be a WC!!!" in the subject of the email. Good luck.

Orator of the week:
I decided to play MD in some multi....now I know why I stopped playing
Counter-Strike and multiplayer Star Wars games. LAAAAAGG! Thanks to MD's
terrible connection and the fact he's using a laptop, he has two new medals.
I am left empty handed. I shoot MD at 0.05 away with linked cannons, direct
hits, nothing happens! Is it me? No. I have a 450 mHz processor with 320 MB
of RAM and a nice cable connection! ARRGH! Losing to a lagger hurts!
And that is my amazing, sore-loser sounding rant. I shall never play multi
with someone who has less than a cable connection ever again. Oh well, so I
don't get a medal. I'll just keep working hard with the single player
battles, the enemy doesn't have a modem.
Also, MD shall now be known as the "6 Million bps Ping man".
