Also this week Sicky got a new computer, so all the curses and shouting you heard from my office was me trying to transfer vasts amount of emails and getting to grips with Windows XP.

Wing IV and Wing V
The proposed comp it to run for the month of February, to settle a dispute between the 2 wings. Laserless scoring will be used as per normal in a TF comp, and the wing with the highest laserless score will be deemed the winner.
The judge will be COM/VA Proton
The highest scoring member of each wing will be awarded an IS-SW and each runner up will be awarded an IS-BW.
As well as the usual awards we have decided that should the winner of the comp be Wing IV we will receive on of CM Defender's Prank Monkeys and if Wing V win they will get one of CPT Bret's highest earning Ewoks, just to make it a bit more interesting ;)

FEBRUARY COMPS
WC SickMan`s famous TIE Defender "Dark Side of Aquarius" has been destroyed in battle, the lovable WC escaped from a firery death but is badly wounded. While he receives his bacta tank treatment members of Wing V have various tasks to do:
1) Write a story of SickMans battle ending in the destruction of his ship, why was his ship destroyed? was it espinonage? was it pilot error? or something else........something illusive?
Winner will recieve a IS-SR
2) SickMan needs a new ship, but what kind? a fighter? a freighter? pick new ship for the WC of Wing V, and think up a new name for it.
Think of a ship & name that best suits Sickys lifestyle and personality:)
Winner will recieve a IS-BR
3) Design a free mission or battle on any format of the events leading up and/or after the destruction of Sickys ship, it must contain all squadrons of Wing V, it could be a huge battle of Wing V or Sicky on one of his adventures & Wing V to the rescue:)
Winner will recieve a IS-SR & may get the battle/mission offically used in the EH

Guess what, Wing V? It's the last round for the trivia! But, instead of
the normal 10 questions, it's going to be in essay form!

Ah, pipe down, you slackers... You've had it easy, up 'til now. All the
questions from the first five rounds were just warm-ups. Now, the REAL test
of knowledge comes in!
You will have until Monday, March 4th to write me a two page essay(10 point
Times New Roman) on one of the topics below. All entries must be in a .txt
or .doc format, single spaced. No big fancy fonts, no skipping lines...just
like in High School. All entries must have your name, ID line, e-mail
adress, and which essay you chose AT THE TOP.
Each essay will be worth 30 POINTS. This could make or break you, so write

Wing XVIII WC Resigns

A couple of days ago, Lieutenant Colonel Fenn Logan announced his resignation as Wing Commander for Wing XVIII on the SSD Avenger. Applications for a new WC are now being accepted, with the following requirements:
Prior experience as a Squadron Commmander for at least SIX months.
Membership in the Dark Brotherhood, with the rank of Acolyte or higher.
Absolute reliability in turning in weekly reports and other admin duties.
Email response time of no more than 36 hours.
Strong online presence (IRC, message boards, meetings etc).
No serious HCI convictions within the last year.
Wing XVIII has recently converted it's primary game platform to XWA Single Player, so familiarity with the workings of this game is essential.
All applications for this position should be sent to Rear Admiral Shadowhawk and Vice Admiral Jeff Loruss. They will be accepted until this Wednesday, and please put "I wanna be a WC!!!" in the subject of the email. Good luck.

Unfortunately, my recent Command Attaché Darkfire has resigned from her position. With Project Hawkeye beginning very soon, I am forced to choose replacements very soon. Command Attaché to the Internet Officer is a full-time position, and requires some work and a lot of ingenuity. Since a Command Attaché is usually the stepping stone to a Command Staff position, I will be considering each candidate very carefully. Following is a list of criteria for people who wish to apply or CA:IO:
Excellent HTML skills
PHP knowledge is a big plus, but not required
Lots of creativity + good English skills
Expected e-mail response time in 24 hours
Fairly active IRC presence
Must have designed EH sites previously
Must have good organizational skills.
Must have a clean HCI record and have been in the EH for at least 9 months.
The CA:IO will be in charge of organizing and editing The Holonet Journals as well as assisting me in various other projects. Also, helping run missions for Project Hawkeye will be the first duty of the CA:IO. You should include a URL of at least one EH site you've designed and you may include references/recommendations from up to 2 people. I will also select an IOA from the pool of applicants for CA:IO. I expect to have a replacement chosen no later than Tuesday.
