Wing XV Report # 0 (2001-09-04)

Hello again all! It's that time again isn't it? I'm so glad to be a part of this club and I just wanted you all to know that. I know some (I won't name names) have called the EH and it's practices nothing more than brainwashing and such. But I think that this place is an escape to the "real world" and is a great place to be. So on that note, on with the report shall we?
 
Ender walks in Strahd's office holding a whell-barrel full of datapads "Strahd! Has this place even slowed down a bit? I mean, it's great to have this activity but with all the pilot sout on manouvers, you'd think there'd be a down time?"
 
"I wouldn't have it any other way Ender, a busy ship is a happy ship...I like it, even though I get caught up in the undertow sometimes" Strahd replied.
 
"Agreed, I have had some inquiries on why the last report wasn't out when you had mentionned. Is everything ok?" Ender asked.
 
"Yes, everything is ok, the bugs in the system have been sorted out, just had a rendez-vous in the cantina if you know what I mean but also that last ion storm knocked out the power again in all the lower decks. But it will be on-time." Strahd said, slightly disappointed in himself for letting it fall behind.
 
"Glad to hear it, Blair and Ekim have both been anxious, they were neck and neck for WC's own if I remember. they are very curious to your decision."
 
"I've added that info in the report that I have just sent out...you'll be pleasantly surprised." Strahd noted.
 
"Great, glad to see you were able to fly a simulator mission to keep on your toes...we all need it in these times" Ender added.
 
"I have, but I also have more news regarding my competition that I had running in the simulators as well, you know, with my system being erased and all..." Strahd said quietly, resentfull of the failiing back-up systems the ship had.
 
"Yes, yes I understand...well if anything, it may get some of the newer pilots a chance to participate..."Ender added with a smile, "Don't worry about the silly systems and go out and do your best. That's all I can ask."
 
"Thank you sir, I will...I'd hate to let the BGCOM, you and the pilots down..."Strahd said with pride.
 
Ender nodded and then quietly exited Strahd's ready room and left him to his duties..."this is gonna be great...lots of stuff to do. I love it!" Strahd thought. "Now where's my blaster..."

New battle listings abbreveations: basically, it's to help with the way you play battles and to make it easier to find out what types of battles need the most work to get their numbers up. Personnaly, a battle is a battle, and we all knew what we were flying. But the Flight Office has it's reasons and I am sure it's for the best.

TCCOM's own is the Subjugator. I congratulate them...but we will get that honor back! Right Wing XV? Am I right?!
 
XWA missions : New XWA-TC battle, XWA-TC 17 and a few of the oldies are fixed of bugs and such...Go give em a whirl!
 
The Database was fixed after 18 hours of maintenance. It will help speed up the database. Great news for us all
 
Reminder on Mission skipping : If you skip a mission in a battle, advise your superior (usually the one who submits your battles) that you have. It helps the process go much smoother.
 
The FO will have a temporary ban on submitting mission to the battle center. Until they are fully up and running again and are properly staffed, they will not take any new missions. Stay tuned in for more news.
 
Sovereign Commodore resigns : After a great length of time in the TC. FA kramer has resigned. It's a great loss for the TC. We wish you well in all you set out to do <Salute>
 
New Tactical Officer appointed : FA Striker has been appointed as the new tactical officer. Congratulations
 
Logistics Office needs a Command Attache, here are the reqs :

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of Star Wars News Sources and where to find good information on Star Wars happenings in General.
  2. Web Creation skills- Have the ability to make a site that incorporates all the CA's duties and responsibilities. If possible show former work done on previous sites you have made.
  3. An Astute knowledge and dedication of EH History. I would like you to submit your own EH History to me in this application with an analysis of it so I can see your ability to write on the subject you will be dealing with.
  4. Anything else you think is important mention in your application.

  • Be a member for more than a year
  • Have no HCI record
  • Have One Recommendation
  • Any Skills you believe are valuable to the spot
  • Good Personality, Easy to work with, Good ideas

Daedalus Motto Comp results in: A great round of applause to our very own CM Flelm for the funniest motto submitted. Even though he didn't get a medal of anything, he got us in the news and in view for all to see! Great work!

New IWATS course out: It's an easy IWATS course to boot. So if you are lookuing for something to keep you off the AWOL list in a time of need but have little time, Try it out. It's the AIM IWATS course...Many of us have already completed it. Let's see us all get it!

WING XV news:

OK, VIB3 is over and Ender is tabulating the scores. We will just have to wait to get the results, but I must say, congrats to all who flew! You make me proud!

My Wing comp (the one were we had to fly the "sucky" XWA-TC 1)  will have one extra week to get your scores in. So by the end of THIS week, I want all pilots files in and fiction. I am only doing this due to the fact that I had to wipe my HD clean due to a virus and I want to make sure I can get everyone I can in this one. I must appologise to everyone who sent in their files to me that I lost. I have everything sent After the 23 of August. So if you had sent in the XWA#1 mission file prior to that, please send it in. I have since bought a Virus Scanner (Thanks for the suggestions guys)and now will hopefully never go through this again.

CM Bevel Leeson is on leave this week and will return on the 7th. Until then, COL Hizad will be assistant cmdr
