4) As you may or may not know, there has a new wave of cheating hitting the fleet at the moment. Now I know that you lot been good chaps. The veterans among you know that this means that if convicted you WILL be busted to SL, lose all medals, FCHG points and highscores. In the worst case senario Expelled. I've had to deal with this before in my time as squadron CMDR and don't want to have to do it again, so don't even think about it, its just not worth it.

We are now looking for a new SCOA again. The main duties will include searching the various SW related sites looking for slicing related news and testing of various patches and programs. Having working knowledge of slicing the X-wing series is a big plus and the DF series is even a bigger plus but neither is needed. Last July, the Tactical Office organized a mission creation competition, the best submissions becoming FCHG Battles. After some long weeks of rating and correction, it is my pleasure to release you the results of this competition. For these who may wonder, TIE Battles have been rated and corrected by VA Troutrooper, XvT/BoP Battles rated by FA StarLion and corrected by LC Marcin Szydlowski, XWA Battles rated by COL Arso Slyth and corrected by yours truly.
The Tactical Office has decided to organize such a competition twice a year, for the Fleet Commander's and Emperor Hammer's birthdays. Thanks to all mission creators who have participated in this competition. Others submissions will be either released later this week or queued for review by the Tactical Staff.
I recommend everyone to fly these battles, which are from the best mission creators of the fleet !!!

7) Training Office Assisant open

With the recent resignation of VA Mell, the position of Training Officer Assistant is now open. I've decided to merge the job requirements of TOA with those of TOA2. I've also slightly lowered the requirements in the hope of getting some decent applications. Full details are here. And to hopefully save myself the grief of being harassed with silly questions, here's a short FAQ:
Q. Why not open CA:TO?
A. Because every time I do, I get a billion applications from the trash of the EH only interested in a quick rank promotion. I want people who will work because they want to.
Q. Why is it an assistant position? And can I keep my TC position?
A. Yes, you can keep your TC position. In fact, this is one of the reasons for it being an assistant position, so the TOA is someone active in the TC, who is closer to the members and what they think and want.
Q. I've heard about some apprenticeship system, where a TOA can eventually be offered CA:TO. Is this true?
A. Yes. The idea is that the person earns the rank and position that comes with being a CA through honest work, rather than knowing the right person.
Q. Can I camp online and harass you with more stupid questions on IRC/AIM/ICQ/email?
A. No. And if you do so, consider your application deleted.
