Wing News

As most of you know, Iota squadron has re-opened, and doing quite well. Please give CMDR/CM Daniel Stephens your best wishes and help if needed. Next don't forget to fly for the new round of the BGAPL, as the BGCOM has issued FTIE #57 to be flown due to certain unfortunate happenings. Please also read the bottom portion of this report as it has important information for most of you, I don't want you to think we haven't kept you up-to-date on things or the latest happenings here :)
There is a squad vs squad comp going on between Mu and Omicron, all pilot are expected to fly if possible, but remember RL comes first, unless of course it the weekend. Then your butt belongs to us! :) Eta squadron has a comp with Tempest squad on the challenge, Good Luck guys!
With several members going on leave and having past issues, we did manage to pull a win off, I congradulate each and everyone of you who participated in the Wing vs Wing comp against Wing V of the SOV. We knocked them off by 1,000,000 points if I remember right. Earning us another win and makingthe total of 2 wins and no losses. Thanks a buch gang, your making the COM proud of you! When time allows I'll be working on setting up another for you to fight.
Remember, when we have a major comp like that, you should participate as this will be your Ships honor your fighting for. So always do your best to get the best score without taking matters into your own hands to make it better, if you catch my meaning. Lastly don't forget we have the ECR comp coming up again. The BGCOM has already made mention of it, but as far as down to earth information well, that wasn't exactly stated.
But don't worry, when we know you'll know. I can tell you this: ECR is about to begin, for all of you newbies it is
the competition where the BGCOM decides on which ship she wants to call home, hopefully that will be us :). And this:
In order to Prepare for the upcoming Excercise Cantina Run Wing VIII and the ISD Colossus are advising All Pilots to write Fiction: 500+ Words, Must be About the BATTLEGROUPS, and Must Include all 4 ships. Preferebly About the Cantina Run itself, and emphasis on the Characters on Board the ISD Colossus. Also try to get some Graphics together and get ready to fly. Full Rules and Comps To come soon!
Colossus Standing Orders
Standing Order #1: (RL) Real Life first!
Of course the first and foremost thing is RL. It is highly recommended to take all RL matters first and before all ship functions, unless you just don't care. I would like to enforce this order to all members. But please be reminded that you should inform your superiors of any situation so that we can count you on LOA, and don't forget to mark your profile stating your on Leave. Even if your only going to be on leave for 2 days, please mark your absence. This way if it takes longer than we know where you are and won't count you as MIA/AWOL.

BGAPL - Battlegroups Ace Pilot League
Due to an unforseen incident, and a pilot taking a turn for the worse, the latest BGAPL for the Colossus has been terminated. The BGCOM has generously started this round over for us. All submissions are due by Saturday so a report can be turned in by Sunday August 26th. All Colossus members must fly FTIE #57 and turn their pilot files into their CMDR ASAP! So that we may know who our true Title holder is.

Okay here we go, I have a short shopping list for ya. Fly FTIE #57 for the BGAPL. We need to have a title holder onboard. Our BGAPL round has gone on long enough without a true holder of the title. Who will it be? Will it be you? We'll see, next round is upon us, so get flying ASAP!

Overall the chatting is moderate again, maybe its because alot of members are getting back to school. But make sure you CC Mell on all communiqués. I don't want him being left out! Remember if you reply to this Wing Report then please only hit reply and send it to me, or hit reply and add the Colossus egroup addy at (isdcolossus@yahoogroups.com). I can't express this enough. Because if your reply is trivial then the others don't need to see it, as well as being personal. Thats why I send the mail this way.

Colossus Website
Absolut Vodka has done some better wok this week. I have managed to update the Colossus database to match our roster. I have also added to and updated the security accesses. Do make sure you use the news posting access you have for the more important info. I'm also working on adding the Colossus Awards section for me and the COm so that we may bestow the newest and latest awards for you critters.
In case you haven't seen or heard much you should stay tuned to the Colossus news page, as I update the site I will post news relevant to this. All in all is wa still a busy week for me but not to a point where I haven't notice things. But stay tuned as new things develope. If anyone needs access to their squadrons website on the Colossus domain then you need to contact me ASAP and I will set you up.

BSF's - STATISTICS
As near as I can tell all BSF's that were on hold by the TAC Office have been fulfilled. So all stats this week are generated with every BSF I received since last Sunday. You'll be suprised maybe, especially when you see the stats for the month to date. Now onto the overall stats for the Wing.

Squadron Summaries
Over all: Now that everyone is pretty much settled into school and coming back off of leave, I expect to see more activity in the coming weeks. It looks as though all squadrons are doing quite well these days even though alot of the pilots are still on leave or just sitting back and watching everyone else. Be that as it may, you should really make an effort to help your squadron be the best and top squad on the Colossus.
There are benifits for this, what are they I don't know, but they are there :)
Miscellanous
Okay this week a short brief on some bad news and an upgrade on the Colossus policy. This past week has seen another devastaing blow to the Colossus. We seem to have lost 2 pilots to a cheating infraction on several counts. Now in case you all don't know it, this type of action is not tolerated anywhere in the EH/TC, not to mention the fact (several reiterations) that it will not be accepted here onboard the Colossus. I will give you a brief from me first.
Small note from the WC,
Just to inform you all as to a new policy and the consequences when you cheat. As a new rule of thumb, and a little discussion between myself and the COM, if you are caught cheating as some have been found most recently, then you will be simultaneously removed with in a day or two from your current positon and the ship upon notification of your charges and or notice from the XO or other HCI court member.
We have no place here for cheaters. This will be a standard routine if this occurs again. A message to the ship about the actions of myself and the COM are we don't condone this activity. The EH/TC doesn't tolerate cheaters nor shall we. We are here to have fun, but cheating is not the way to attain that fun, it only discourages others from doing what they came here to do.
If the court in fact finds that the action taken against you is in the wrong and your charges are dismissed because you were right, then we will allow you back onboard the Colossus. But until such time as your case is pending, you shall be removed from Wing activities and your Colossus database access will be suspended as well as your egroups access.
I can't say or stress this enough. The members in question will not be divulged here, but if you look at the roster I'm sure you can find out who they were. One of them sadly enough to say was a long time standing member of the Colossus. It brought me a bit of sadness to have to remove him, but those are part of the consequences in which you will receive if you are caught cheating. Please read them and heed them. I won't beat the dead horse any longer, but just no that if you caught you and convicted of your charge you will be forever banned from the Colossus, as taken from the words of the COM. In closing, I see activity of all starting to pick up, lets just hope it gets much better the closer towards ECR we get. Until next week....
