It was quiet in WC SickMan`s office and to proove it, Iggy dropped a pin on the floor and giggled as he heard the noise, SickMan looked up for his desk, if your bored Iggy, go collect some emails for me from the Wing V CMDR`s about what mascot we are going to use for the comp, the Eagle is currently winning from email votes directly to me.
Iggy, chittered away a long sentance to SickMan then scattered down the corridor, SickMan returned to his viewscreen and said to himself "yes i agree with you there Iggy, the monkey word is starting to grate on my spine too".
Colin, was happily sifting through various communication`s and bleeped to SickMan that his email system seems to be ok now and messages sent seem to be reaching their destinations, "At last SickMan said, it`s all Iggy`s fault, he`s been downloading that many Heavy Metal MP3`s from the Imperial Net, that he crashed some of the systems"
" Emails, Emails? i remember when we didn`t have emails and we used pencil & paper and sent the messages by slaves, those were the days, when i droid was considered to be equals and......." said Skiny
"Skiny, you have the choice, either you shut up or i blast you into a thousand pieces & melt you down as ashtrays for Airlock#21, now go and annoy some LT`s in Airlock#21" SickMan holstered his Blaster
As Skiny made his way to Airlock#21, you could hear him muttering "You call that a blaster, i remember when blasters were that new and big, it took 12 ewoks to hold the thing &...................."
Colin blerted out a long and crude sentance to SickMan, and his reply was " yeah but Skiny has his uses & i`ve told you about swearing"
Another sucsession of blurts followed and SickMan said "yeah, same to you and the horse you rode in on"

This month I will continue the To Art or Not to Art? comp until December 1st, so if you want to design some....any graphics for the Wing V website then send them to me and you could be the winner of a nice shiny new IS-SR.
Also I`m announcing three flying comps using the three flying formats.

Knight Quest

Another good Fan Film recently released is "Knight Quest" which is about Darth Vader's hunt for the Light Jedi and takes place before A New Hope. There are some problems with the sound every now and then, but aside from that, it's a very well made (and large) fan-film with saber and starfighter combat scenes! The hi-res version is almost 200 mb big!

There have been some Flag Officer appointments and promotions recently that I'd like to announce: Congratulations to Major Darksaber who takes over from General Badlands as the new Wing Commander for Wing XI. Congrats also to Major Bevel Leeson, new Wing XV WC (my old Wing!).
Finally, I'm pleased to announce the promotion of Vice Admiral Adrenaline to the rank of Admiral! Adren is undoubtedly one of the hardest working members of the TIE Corps, and this is a well deserved promotion. Congrats Adren!

New TCS/TCT sought for XWA

With the change in command concerning the XWA part of the Tactical Staff, there is currently a lack of playtesters (TCS) and correctors (TCT) for XWA. Therefore, the Tactical Office is looking for additional Tactical Surveyors (TCS, playtesters) and Tacticians (TCT, correctors) for the XWA platform. Please review the Tactical Manual for the position descriptions. Some requirements for the positions are for Tactical Surveyors (TCS):
have XWA
be able to playtest a battle within a week and to write a beta report (templates in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XWA mission design and graduation from XAM not necessary but recommended.
And for Tacticians (TCT):
have XWA
be able to bring corrections to a battle within 1,2 weeks, from the problems noticed by the TCS in their beta reports (guidelines in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XWA mission design
must have passed XAM from IWATS
Please review the Tactical Manual before applying, there you will find a complete description of the Tactical Staff. These are auxiliary positions, which means you don't have to leave your squadron. Applications are to be sent to Lieutenant Colonel Marcin Szydlowksi and Captain Gord Darkonian. Nice rewards for all hard working people !
