New TCS/TCT sought for XWA

With the change in command concerning the XWA part of the Tactical Staff, there is currently a lack of playtesters (TCS) and correctors (TCT) for XWA. Therefore, the Tactical Office is looking for additional Tactical Surveyors (TCS, playtesters) and Tacticians (TCT, correctors) for the XWA platform. Please review the Tactical Manual for the position descriptions. Some requirements for the positions are for Tactical Surveyors (TCS):

have XWA
be able to playtest a battle within a week and to write a beta report (templates in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XWA mission design and graduation from XAM not necessary but recommended.
And for Tacticians (TCT):
have XWA
be able to bring corrections to a battle within 1,2 weeks, from the problems noticed by the TCS in their beta reports (guidelines in the Tactical Manual)
knowledge in XWA mission design
must have passed XAM from IWATS
Please review the Tactical Manual before applying, there you will find a complete description of the Tactical Staff. These are auxiliary positions, which means you don't have to leave your squadron. Applications are to be sent to Lieutenant Colonel Marcin Szydlowksi and Captain Gord Darkonian. Nice rewards for all hard working people !

Applications open for the Imperial Historical Society

The Logistics Office Primary duty is EH history and we are currently looking for members to join it's Staff, under the Jurisdiction of the Imperial Historical Society.
The IHS, headed by myself, are in need of worthy candidates who will ideally be veterans of their respective ships or wings. Awards up to Silver or Gold star are available for the right minded and hard working individual. Interviews, report collection, INPR's and searching through old newsletters are typical tasks.
Several teams are expected to be created. All information is welcome and a weekly update of your activities is required. For more information and to sign up for this vital duty, Please Contact Vice Admiral Oldham and Admiral Ramos.

AD Ramos and COL Blackbird have requested all mission makers on the ISD Immortal who are interested in constructing battles for the EH TImeline competition, that will involve EVERY officer and member of the Emperor's Hammer, please contact AD Ramos at lo@emperorshammer.org

I guess the main news ( old one by now ) is me getting Wing Commander after GN Badlands retirement. What some of you might not know is that he got a Silver Star for his work as WC. Congratz BL

Our main comp is Still The Exercice Cantina Run 4 which is now entering Phase 3 - Graphics

Exercise Cantina Run - the BGCOM's fourth

The second round has ended ( a week ago) and today marks the beginning of the Graphics phase. I know you all have probably gotten a jump start on this phase, or at least I hope so! I know that everyone is anxious to see the results of the fiction phase , which ended 3 weeks ago, and all I have to tell you is to grab a lava lamp and chill, they'll be out when they are ready. We are grading each fiction, to establish an average ship score, and while I've finished my judging, I await the results of my co-judge. I've never considered myself an English major by any means and will be relying strongly on my other judges opinions to establish fair grades for you all :P Now, where my talents do come in, is in the flying department, and I've already started to test the missions from the second phase. I'm hoping to get these results out by the time the flying phase starts, seeing as we'll be using two of these free missions, 1 XWA and 1 TIE.

Round III- Graphics

Starting today and ending 2 weeks from today, October 29, all pilots are asked to create an Imperial Storm related graphic. It can be anything, from a banner, a flash movie, an award of some sort for capturing of certain planets, an award for winning the exercise.. anything... I want eye candy people! The only restrictions in this category, are that I will only be accepting one submission from each pilot. There will be awards for the top 3 entries : see below for more details.

Commodores : I want a full participation report with attached graphics on my desk by midnight (PST) October 29.

Exercise Cantina Run IV - With Imperial Storm coming to a close, this competition will involve making this exercise more of a reality. Pilots are asked to create 1.fiction 2.missions 3.graphics and 4.fly missions which are all related to the events which have (or should have :P ) happened. Each category will last 2 weeks, with the final overall winner being named the Flagship of the Battlegroups - all members of this ship will be rewarded with a custom made medallion. Points will be awarded for both quality of submissions and participation. Submissions not relating to Imperial Storm (ship and planet names etc.) will not be accepted.

For the pilots' submissions in each round, the following bonus points will be awarded to their respective ship:

1st place - 15 points & IS-GR
2nd place - 10 points & IS-SR
3rd place - 5 points & IS-BR
4th place - 3 points

(in the case of the flying round , Ribbons will be replaced with Wings)

Ship bonuses will be awarded by participation:

100% participation - 10 points
90-100 - 9 points
80-90 - 8 points
70-80 - 7 points
60-70 - 6 points
50-60 - 5 points
40-50 - 4 points
etc.. well, anything less than that is unacceptable :P

For each round, submissions will be scored and rated, based on averages, the ships will be ranked 1st - 4th and points awarded like so :


1st - 35 points
2nd - 25 points
3rd - 15 points
4th - 10 points

In the end, the ship with the highest points wins! Good luck pilots :)
