Wing III Report #14 - July 23rd, 2001

Introduction
------------------
These were two awesome weeks for Wing III! Activity was far above average and is still increasing -
keep it up everyone, I bet it can get even better next week! :)) The opening of Gimel Squadron had a
big impact on the overall morale and chances are good Vav will be opened up rather soon as well!
Additionally, with the start of the Summer Bash this week (which will finally decide the debate about
the best squadron in the Wing, at least for some time), I expect even more activity in almost all
fields. Keep working and we'll soon be able to prove that we're the best Wing in the fleet!


Wing III News
------------------
- I'd like to extend a big, warm welcome to all our new pilots or returned pilots from the last two
weeks! It's great to have you all on board! The next time you meet me in our cantina, don't forget to
remind me that I still owe you all a drink :)

With the recent return of our FO, FA Priyum Patel, ImpStorm II continues again and there are now two
battles to be played out!

As you can see the Silver Saber fleet is not present in this battle, so we can just sit and watch...

Though not too many forces are engaging in this battle, the Inhibitor is one of the two Interdictors
we've remaining, so we should better make sure to keep her alive and in a good condition! Everyone
should make sure to come to #project_faithful tomorrow (24th) at 11PM GMT / 6PM EST to support our
fleet and overwhelm the Doom(ed) forces! Be there!

- MAJ Jahan Kalar has recently been awarded an Imperial Security Medal for his restless efforts to
improve Aleth Squadron - in particular for the Aleth RPG which seems to be lots of fun for all
participants (and readers).

- The Summer Bash is scheduled to start tomorrow! I bet every squadron would like to win this major
event, but of course only one can get it and win bragging rights for a long time... Get ready to help
your squadron to win!

- Gimel Squadron had a kick start! It was opened not even two weeks ago and its members already claim
to be the best squadron in the Wing! That of course will have to be proven during the Summer Bash and
several competitions against other squadrons afterwards - we'll see. I'm somewhat happy to see how
well and fast Gimel developed - at already 7 pilots it begins to rival the other squadrons in the Wing
already. Good work!

- The position of Daleth Squadron Commander is open to applications! Email FA Kramer and me if you
think you got what it takes to reestablish Daleth Squadron - remember you should be at least FL/LT or
FM/LCM and have completed the Squadron Management II IWATS course before applying!

point each.
