Wing Report #2
Wing Commander Strahd enters his quarters after a busy day...
-"Man, I'm beat, but I can finally get some rest".
Suddenly, there's a frantic knock on the door.
-"Now what?" Strahd asked."Come in"
The door opened and a transport captain came into the room.
-"Sir, we have a problem in deck 14. One of your pilots
is creating a commotion, we had orders to move him to the reserve ship and he is
refusing to go. What can I do?" The captain asked.
-"I'll go speak with the pilot's commanding officer and get this straigtened out A.S.A.P. Until then, do not take off. Understood?"
-"Yes sir!" Replied the pilot. And he departed the room a few seconds later.
-"Well, I might as well take a walk and see what I can do." Strahd said.
Walking along the hall of the ISDII is relaxing in it's own right. It's like being caught in the eye of a hurricane. Activity all around you but no one knows you're there. The perfect escape. Just then, Strahd noticed a fellow pilot from Wasp. And then another from Mantis. Seems that they are everywhere. And it also looked like they were doing the same thing as Strahd was. Counting the rivets on the walls...escaping it all. Just then, the intercom tone was heard...
-"MAJ Strahd, report to the COM's office, MAJ Strahd, please report to the COM's office."
-"Hmmm, what could Ender want now? I thought I had done everything?"
The COM's office looked even worse than my own. Paper and datapads everywhere. How Ender could try to balance all the stacks and give an order while keeping a straight face was truely an amazing sight to behold.
-"Strahd, did you know that Hornet squadron has been re-opened?" Ender said.
-"No? When did this happen?" Strahd inquired
-"About 2 hours ago? didn't you get that memo?" Ender replied.
-"No, I was still thinking it was in the planning stages...Man things move fast here! I have some news for you as well. We have lost another pilot to the reserves and another one may be on his way there as well if I can't get to the bottom of things. I was on my way to the squadron commander now." Strahd said. He was getting
confused and amazed at how things go so fast here in the upper ranks.
-"Ok, take care of that, then we can hit the cantina and chat a bit, I want to know how you are ajusting to your new position and all. My treat"
-"Thank you sir! I'll be there as soon as I finish with these matters and do my last report. I'll be there at 0500 hours."
Fleet news:
There's a new WC in the fleet. COL Ford Perfect is replacing COL Inkwolf as
WC for Wing II.
WOW for XWA (our primary platform) is over for the month. Did you
participate?
Wing News:
Vanguard Intera-active Battle is almost at a close. Have you sent in your pilot file and fiction to your cmdr? Only 4 more days left. Get going if you want a shot at the medals. Also, more importantly, the Vanguard NEEDS you! I want 50% activity...no less!
Hornet Squadron has re-opened under CPT Crazy R2. All 6 squadrons are active. (I have not seen that ever since I have been a member in the past 8 months). Great work!
Mantis Squadron has a web-site. And I am presently in the works of helping them get a message board as well.

Most MSEs are in. So if you still have not sent them in or are a pilot wanting a medal for monthly activity. Get on your cmdrs to send them in.

I may be able to get to these questions and will advise Ender as well if I can. If you do not get an e-mail from me within the first day. Assume I do not have an internet connection and Ender will take care of it. Just remember to cc myself so I know what's going on in the wing. Thanks.
One last thing: I would like it if all of the future squadron reports be made available on-line. If I am told to do it, I figure it's good for us all...no?
