Wing III Report #15 - July 30th, 2001

Introduction
------------------
The Summer Bash is active! Participate in all categories you signed up for now! Make your Squadron
win! :)

This week has mostly been marked by that major event, but there was also quite a lot of other acitvity
like the Aleth RPG which is processing nicely or the large flying activity coming mostly from Hey and
Aleth Squadron. Keep that up, I'm enjoying it! ;)


Wing III News
------------------
- Please all welcome our newest member: SL Tim, who's just arrived from PLT Daedalus and will from now
on serve in Aleth Squadron. Welcome to Wing III!

- Congratulations go to COL Van, who's been assigned the new Daleth commander! Good luck! :)

- The position of Beth Squadron commander is still open for applications, but I will make my decision
somewhat soon, so if you think you're qualified and are at least FL/LT or FM/LCM apply now!

- The Summer Bash is active and first results will be released on the 1st of August! Here are the
current standings of the flying section:

- CM Loor, former commander of Beth Squadron, has transfered out to fly with the elite Praetorian
Squadron! Congratulations and good luck, Loor! We'll miss ya! :)

- CMDRs, it's time for your MSEs! Please get them to me during the next few days!

- Aleth is currently taking a CRT! All Aleth pilots fly FREE-XWA #3 and send it to me and Jahan until
August 5th!

- We've regular IRC meetings in #wing_iii on Undernet at 6 pm GMT / 1 pm EST every Sunday - join us
next week! A partial log has been attatched.

Imperial Storm II news

- TF Silver Saber was victorious and defeated the opposing TF Doom force, yay!

Report by LC Firebird, Koph Commander:

I was the highest ranking member of Task Force Silver Saber who went
to ImpStorm today, so they put me in charge :P

Tav CMDR, CM Pavz flew our Interdictor vs. Task Force Doom's
Lancer Frigate. Using some great tactics from Koph's CPT Nikolai
Boshevki, Pavz was able to destroy the L/FRG with ease and secure
another victory for the Sov! Great work, you two!

- TF Flaming Arrow won their battle against TF Doom as well.
