WC/LC Proton reporting on 8-4-01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:

LC Proton, Dude amd Leroy flinched as Snippy the probe droid suddenly emitted a series of blaring warning sounds and began spastically waving his robotic arms.
"Snip, whatup!?!" Leroy chittered.
The droid whirled and swooshed over to Proton's desk, where the stunned WC also wondered, muttering, "Yeah, Snip, whatup??"
"Uhh!" Dude grunted.
Snippy pointed to the list of Wing V requisition requests that had just appeared on Proton's holo terminal. Snippy had seen the same list from his workstation, and now he excitedly stabbed an appendage at one of the requests, beeping at Proton to look there.
Leroy and Dude froze as they watched Proton move his eyes to the list and saw the blood drain from his face.
Palpatine's ghost!" Proton shouted. "Not an EEC!"
The massive Tusken raider involuntarily cowered and covered his face with his rag-wrapped arms. Leroy sprinted quickly for shielding behind Dude's hulking frame. Snippy bobbed and weaved, lights flashing, alert sounds intensifying.
The frazzled Proton unconsciously ran his hand through his hair as he reached to strap on the blaster he kept in his desk. "An EEC -- what would those fools be doing with one of those?" Proton grumbled as he headed into the corridor. "Sickman and Striker better have a good explanation for THIS one."
The WC and his assistants were shocked that on the SSSD Sovereign's routine requisition processing list, someone in the Sadhe/Samekh quarters area had somehow managed to acquire from top-security Imperial weapons stores, a dreaded EEC.
Yes, an Ewok Excrement Cannon.

WING NEWS AND STATUS

- Wing V lost to Wing IV in the July wing competition. Turnout was pathetic, only 24 percent of the wing bothered to fly.

- RED ALERT ! We are flying against Wing VIII in our August competition. Deadline is Aug. 1-15. Fly TC-TIE Battle 13.

- RED ALERT ! FMC-sponsored King of the Wing contest. Second round, fly TC-FREE XvT 1 by Aug. 13 and send your tfrs to COL/Doc Sickman. LC Proton won the first round and CM Keiran was second.

- Graphically talented members of Wing V are invited to design a CMDRs Cup for display on the home page of the wing that currently holds the title. A medal will be awarded for the best design. Send submittals to me by Aug. 7. just three days left!

- The top-participating and scoring squadron in the August wing comp will win the WC's Own award for the month.
