From LC E. Tarkin:

After 2 hours of fierce battle today, the Avenger vs Red Squadron War has been concluded. I am proud to announce that Avenger was victorious. With 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss Avenger ruled supreme. The activities were 2 FFA, 3 Combat Engagements and 2 Team Melees. For Avenger flew CPT Dax Corrin, CM Azrael and LC Tarkin. It was a great effort from CPT Dax Corrin and CM Azrael, I salute you!

I would like to thank our opponents, Red Squadron for the games and all the fun! Also, a word of thanks to the EH's COO Wet Willy and AD Kieran Idanian for organizing this event. I hope we can someday repeat this "war".

Here we go another eventful week in passing. I must apologize for the lateness of my report as most of you know I do try to be as prompt as possible. Unfortunately this weekend was a rather painful one for me. I was traumatically struck this weekend when myself, my wife and a friend were in a bad car accident, totaling my car and also my pocket. I can say thank the lucky stars that no one was hurt and my pregnant wife is doing rather fine after I made her stay 1 day in the hospital to be sure. She was of course pissed at me, but hey, my concern was for the baby.

At any rate, we are home now, and everything is still a go for the baby, whenever he/she decides to make its entry into this world of ours. I hope none of you have to have a down to earth scare like that, it sux, it really does. When all I saw was the inevitable event of the accident which was going to happen, all I could think of was my wife, and the baby, so I hope you all understand. Anyway, I here and back.

Most of you know that I have been working very hard doing alot of BSF's for some of you, I hope it pays off later, but for now its gonna benefit you. There are a good bit of stats this round since I added a couple of days to the BSF tally. Once after I send this out and get all my figures done and proper, I will be submitting award requests for this past week as I had promise when I first got here. For those of you who don't remember, I said that if you can do atleast 20 missions in one week, which would incur that you be ACTIVE then I would award you an ISM. Well it would seem that a couple of you have blown that completely away and for that you will be awarded properly. Now onto the good news:

BGAPL - Battlegroups Ace Pilot League
No response yet from the BGCOM about my extension for this, since I never got a return letter. I will try again. I also have to re-submit my tfr, since VA Mell ran into several problems with his computer and apparently lost my tfr :(

Command Changes
None. However, the ones that did change in that last 2 weeks or so, have been doing well. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

Ships Doctor Appointed
Not yet. I guess Mell wasn't convince we should have one, since he never answered me on the subject when questioned about it :P

Shopping List
Once again there isn't one yet! I was putting one together when my weekend got demolished. However, by this weekend I will have one for you, and we'll see who will participate. Side note: CMDR/CM Kodiak before he decided to rush off on leave had put together and interesting one. He created an IWATS shopping list for everyone in Nu. Which myself and several others thought it was a grand idea.

So in turn I would challenge all CMDR's to do the same. I will offer an ISM to any member who gets atleast 4 IWATS courses completed and fully graded by Sunday when I make my next report. Anyone care to try for it? Who will take me up on this offer of generosity.

Reviews

Egroups
Once again we've had a somewhat decent turn out as far as ship board comms. I am trying my best to get thru all my mail and settle all comps etc. which have taken place recently. I believe until Mell gets his computer up to full speed, I am remaining to be the A-COM. If there are any needs that he usually helps you with, direct them to me until further notice. But make sure you CC him on all communiqués. I don't want him being left out! Remember if you reply to this Wing Report then please only hit reply and send it to me, or hit reply and add the Colossus egroup addy at (isdcolossus@yahoogroups.com). I can't express this enough. Because if your reply is trivial then the others don't need to see it, as well as being personal.

IRC
Sorry can't say. Usually I'm more IRC active than recent, but due to certain RL events, I have been kept away.

Message Boards
GO POST ON THE MB! I am negligent on doing this as well. In the coming weeks I will be posting things there for you to see, will you find them? Will you be able to remark on my comments? Does anyone care to start a run-on? Lemme know, before you post it please. I have an idea, but you have to contact me first.

Colossus Website
Absolut Vodka has been lost this past 2 weeks! I've not had any problems which will interfere with my job here, but just simple subtle things which have really taken my time this time around. But its getting better really! You will see some changes in the coming weeks.

Academics
3 IWATS courses passed by Colossus Pilots this week..

  1. Phalk Sturm ----> CBX

  2. Derrek Wolf ----> M/1

  3. Jacob Racke ----> TT

WoooHooo! gettin better! Hopefully with my encouragement above we may see a larger array of IWATS courses being passed. Thank you.

BSF's - STATISTICS
Okay now I got some really good stats for you this week. I'm sure you all will be amazed at the following results. Now keep in mind this is starting from this past 2 Mondays ago since I missed my actual report date as of this past Sunday. Remember, Monday starts the actual recording of BSF's. However, once I submit my report all my files are stored in separate folders and a new fresh clean folder is started for all squadrons each week. This enables me to give you the most accurate count of BSF's at my disposal. One thing I wanna mention here, al these stats do not include BSF's which are held at the TAC Office. Those will not be counted until they are approved. It is best that way. Now onto the overall stats for the Wing.

  • Total BSF's: 85

  • Total Missions: 392

WOW! Isn't that simply amazing? Now granted that this was compiled over an extra 2 days, but even with those taken out we still did over 300 as compared to last week which was slightly under 180. I would be glad to show you the monthly break down, but I haven't begun to touch that mess. I will say it will break some records here at the Colossus. With just one week alone up to the 31st today, we almost broke 400, and with me just looking at the overall monthly stats we did roughly.......are you ready? Okay I'm joking here are the overall monthly totals for Colossus:

  1. July

    • Total BSF's: 128

    • Total Missions: 880

Isn't that incredible? And to actually think I did most of those BSF's whew! I was kept rather busy. I didn't even have time to fly any myself. I will be awarding some good medals for this soon so stand by. Now are you ready for the rest? Squadron and pilot breakdown coming up.

Top 5 Pilots of the Week
Since I now have some stats to go on here are the Top 5 Pilot of the week showing their BSF stats:

  5. CM Daniel Klivian: 4 BSF's, 22 missions

Squadron Summaries

Mu Squadron. Has a good future. However, the pilots need to contact their CMDR or all may be lost in the shuffle.

Nu Squadron. Nu is slowing down after a brief period of triumph! Their CMDR is currently on leave. LT Jacob Racke is currently the A-CMDR and XO. Send him any mail you think he may need for the next weeks WSR.

Pi Squadron. Well here we go again with yet another glorious triumph! They have shown, or rather 3 pilots have shown what can happen with a little bit of hard work. Together accumulating 56 BSF's for 288 total missions flown, shows what they can do when they try. Just think what would have happened if the whole squadron flew? They have definitely earned the title Squadron of the Month. Coming back from near defeat of the month, to take the overall standings! I think they're back with a vengeance!

Omicron Squadron got off to a late start by acquiring their CMDR late in the month, but overall came in second place for the month. I look for them to be in the top running next month. They just got a new pilot, so beware gang!

Eta Squadron...and now we make it to the Assassins. I think they are still alive. Bringing up the 3rd place rear and getting severally wiped out by Pi squadron this month. Lets see if they can do better next month.? They were doing great the first half of the month, but then they slacked off and lost concentration and let PI and Omicron get ahead of them. I think I mentioned something about that earlier. Well maybe they'll learn from their mistakes. Can they live up to their name...The Assassins? We'll see next month!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Miscellanous
Like I said I had a trying weekend so I don't have much to say this time. But over all the squadrons performed excellent this month pumping out a record total missions for the month at 880. This definitely deserves a form of gratitude, but how you say? Hmm...good question..well I guess I can say that DRINKS ARE ON ME! Good job Colossus...you have made me and the COM proud. Grand awards are coming, just bear with us while we work out some details

Lastly, for those who don't know yet, we have a competition with Wing V of the Sov. It starts tomorrow the 1st of August and ends on the 15th. Battle to fly is TC-TIE 13. CMDR's please download it and pass it on to them. We must take this time to work out some very high scores for this. I can't see us losing yet. So far to date we have 1 major Wing win to our belts, lets not stop there! Recently Our former WC has posted for you all to try is his FCHG battle that he's sent off for the TAC Officers competition. If you care to fly it, I've attached it for you.

One more thing one of our newest LT Janus has come up with a stimulating new idea, I'm sure he'll be telling you all about it soon! As far as I can tell the idea was approved by me and Mell. So Janus your on the stage now, DON'T let us down! Until next week...have a safe week and may the good winds fly your way!

Respectfully Submitted
