WC/LC Proton reporting on 8-11-01 for Wing V aboard the SSSD Sovereign:

The LSD Team closely followed LC Proton down the deck toward the Sovereign's shipping hangar. Proton, waving a blaster and ready for a firefight, glanced into the Wing V cantina as he passed by, and stopped cold.
Most of the wing's pilots were passed out on their barstools, oblivious to anything going on around them.
Proton rolled his eyes, turned to his LSD Team and said, "Oh, well, guys, their loss."
Proton continued his combat advance toward the hangar as his assistants readied their weaponry as well, fanning out in combat patrol formation.

- Hmm, this is interesting. Not one pilot -- not even the usually loud members of Sadhe Flight II -- reacted whatsoever to the disclosure in Wing Report 42 that an EEC has been secretly requisitioned to someone in Wing V. Oh, well, it's your loss ...

The shipping droid dropped the weaponry crate in a corner of the Sovereign mess hall. LT Murkrow Defender furtively cracked open the crate and hefted the massive assault weapon nestled inside.
"Hah-hee, yes, good!" Murkrow cackled, seeing that the weapon was charged and ready.
Murkrow sprinted away to the Wing V cantina and barged into the entryway, laughing insanely.
He switched the weapon's setting to spray mode and pressed the firing stud.
The drunken Wing V pilots did not know what hit them as the Ewok Excrement Cannon delivered its horrible payload throughout the cantina.

- RED ALERT ! We are flying against Wing VIII in our August competition. Deadline is Aug. 1-15. Fly TC-TIE Battle 13. Get with it, we need several more tfrs to reach 12!!

- RED ALERT ! FMC-sponsored King of the Wing contest. Second round, fly TC-FREE XvT 1 by Aug. 13 and send your tfrs to COL/Doc Sickman.

- No pilots stepped forward to enter the competition to design a CMDRs Cup for the challenge format. So, a medal opportunity has been lost.

- The top-participating and scoring squadron in the August wing comp will win the WC's Own award for the month.

As you may, or may not, know a competition based around the Emperor's Hammer Timeline which involves the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn is set to start on the 15th of August. This is set to be a huge project with around 120 missions required to get through the story, along with a lot of plot to accommodate for the involvement of all the subgroups of the Emperor's Hammer.
