Wing XV Report #3 Major Zippy Hawk


"Space, The Outer Rim. These are the reports of the Imperator class II Star Destroyer Vanguard... Its continuing mission to suppress strange alien worlds. To wipe out alien life and rebellious populations and to wonder the space lanes for chicken nuggets!"


Welcome my Imperial Officers to the third of my wing reports, I hope that you all have enjoy then so far but feel free to comment on them to me i don't mine what you got to say as long as its not stupid *points at Sov pilots*. Its hot and im happy im really happy there also been tons of active over the past weeks with a echo pilots getting COBs and Wasp pilots racking up the bsf and locs but Python is holding on for dear life but i know they got a good CMDR who will pull them through while Mantis have been keeping them self busy even better news is that Scorpion has re-open under Mr Z and i hope the squadron will grow such as wasp and echo have. Well before I mange to annoy all the battle groups il move on to the rest of the report.



Pilots Lounge



(Xwing the heart of any fleet apart from ours, stupid fleet quarter master)

"What do you mean the whole fighters computer system was blown out how the hell iam suppose to find out what happen" shouted Vice Admiral Ender at his Lt.
"But Sir we try honest we try but she must of taken a ion hit the repair crews spent most of the day on her but there nothing not even the R2 could boot up" said Lt looking nervous to the hilt.
Pacing him self up and down behind his desk Ender slap his hand against his desk, "Lt get me Doctor Mo at once and then get back to that Xwing and find me some information and DO IT NOW!".

The briefing room was lit by the blue light from the holo unit bringing a soft shadows looming around the Commanders sat in the room, "So you're telling me Major that you want to send my squadron to a lifeless moon for three days, you have got to be kidding" said Hizad leaning back on his chair.
Pushing a few button on his data pad Damon look across at Hizad "Well it seem the natural choice Hiz you're sq beening the only full armed with ion cannon squadron".
"Hey why cant we launch the attack from the Vanguard, im sure my squadron could get them to give in before he could make a run for it" said Strahd from the back of the room.
Turning his chair to face Strahd, Jdf1984 gave him a predator stare "Yeah Strahd great idea that is, but its kind of a jump couple of hype buoys out of the way of the mission objectives the Major map out for the mission doesn't it".
Letting a smile drifted across his face Hawk pointed to the holo display, "You guys finish yet, I don't mine going over the mission with you guys before the pilots see them but to try leave the fighting in the mess hall anyway lets go over this again, Mantis will jump ahead of the Vanguard and set down on the moon. Then the Vanguard will head for the its gravity well with that the corvette shadowing us should get trap in the moon well and that will give us the time to board her before she even knows what happening".
"But Major why have Mantis set up ahead if the Vanguard going be on station" said Hizad with a serious face.
Rubbing his chin Hawk looked at the Holo display "Well i want the corvette computer core intact, you now that the rebel commander will try wipe it if he see the Vanguard launch fighters and i also want take her with out the rebels knowing the only way to do that is to hit her com tower before she can send out a message".
"I see you're point now Major but what happens if the rebels get back up" Hizad said looking little bit happy about the mission.
Grabbing a cake from the waiter droid in the room Damon looked up "Hey Hawk who going in on the boarding team ?".
"Well Hiz if any more of the rebel scum turn up il launch Python , they be hot and ready on the racks and Damon the answer to you're question is a detachment of stormies and the master at arms and me and im trying stop the Admiral going too but need a little help on that boys" Hawk said with a smile on his face.
"Sure thing Boss" sounded around the room as the briefing ended.

"Doctor Mo at last you're here, Iv been waiting for over a hour and you do know how i don't like to be kept waiting" said Vice Admiral Ender tapping on his desk.
With a quick salute Mo put on his emotion less face "Sir iv been over seeing the Major rehab in the batca room".
"The Major you say how did you find out he was a Major, unless the Lt repair team found something and if they have il have the Lt hung for not telling me" Ender said trying to hold his temper in.
"No Sir it was Major Hawk the officer was his ex Flight Leader from Avenger squadron his name is Major Tarkin Sir" said Mo.
Slamming his chair back against the wall Ender stood "You're telling that my own Wing Commander knew and no one thought to tell me, Get OUT GET OUT NOW LT".
Ducking out of the room Mo stood in the corridor and pull out his com link "Vanguard Control can you put me through to Major Hawk".
"This Vanguard Control you're link is through now".
"This is Lt Mo, Major just thought i warn you that Vice Admiral on the war path" said Lt Mo
"Don't worry Lt he gets like that after spice, did you know its really cheap and legal where he was born anyway he will chill out after a while but thanks for warning, now you better get back and see how Tarkin is" said Hawk leaving the briefing room.

Thundering roar echoed around the forward hanger, flipping its wings up the shuttle touch down in its assigned spot with a sudden eruption the hanger crew leapt at the shuttle and began refuelling.
Walking down from his shuttle Commander Z looked to these fellow companions Colonel Thrawn and Lt Torak, "Hey lads I know i maybe speaking like a old Intrepid pilot but atleast they had a welcoming party when we first joined".
"Well im really used to a welcome of some sort, hey you ensign over here" said Colonel Thrawn point to a member of the repair team.
Rushing over to the three officers the ensign gave a brief salute, "Yes Sir what is it we kind of busy here".
"Ensign im Colonel Thrawn do you know why no one here" said Thrawn looking unpleased.
Scratching his head the ensign looked around, "Well Sir my repair crew here as order by why would any one else be here Sir".
"Well to welcome us of course" said Torak butting in.
"Well I don't get it Sir why would anyone welcome a shuttle full of officers" said the Ensign.
From the hanger door Major Hawk stalked in, "Commander Z welcome aboard il show you to you're bunks and then tomm you can look over you're fighters" said Hawk saluting the officers.
"Major Hawk there you are we were expecting a welcoming party when we touch down but instead we get abuse from this Ensign" Said Commander Z pushing past the Ensign.
Leading the officers out the hanger Hawk gave a brief smile, "This is a combat ship gentleman not a pleasure cruiser like the Intrepid but i will have a word with the Ensign, now please we have allot to get through to bring you up to speed on the situation.

Vanguard Communication Studies Centre 'plus a really really cool thing'

Be seated little ones the lesson will begin soon, thank you Lazzak for the apple you are now teachers pet anyway enough with making you feel 9 again even if i do know that half of you would like to be again.
Well this week i would like to try a new language maybe ewok or Mon Cal but till i find their text on net you have to wait but important news i found the NCA patch online after a search of many years anyway here the address http://www.ghostriderjlp.cjb.net/ click on the bottom left corner 'NCA patch is for XWA and has atleast 25 more ships for game which is great'.
There's also the XWAU patch which upgrades the opt for XWA so far they have done rebel fighters one ad their beta testing the imp fighter patch at the moment, http://www.xwaupgrade.com/.


Novels Of The Week

This week i will review two more books but not all starwars, i hope you enjoy this section if not do tell i don't want to be force feeding my wing with rubbish but till then il keep my book review going so here goes:

Sharpe's Prey by Bernard Cornwell, This Novel takes place before the European war and not long after the battle of trafgar. The French have lost the great sea fleet but their armies still command a vast part of eurp but in the small country of demark sits a fleet that could aid the French in their fight against the Royal Naval, But in the chaos of all this Sharpe a Lt in 95th rifles is sent to demark to take the fleet for English or destroy it. Now this group of books is my fav and they follow Sharpe's life through love and war.

Children Of The Jedi by Kathy Tyers, The Old gang is together again and ready to save the galaxy but all is not well when a mad man comes screaming it sends leia and Han on search for answers and Luke in adventure where he can easyie die, with new characters and new Jedi this book should keep very body happy 'written by a women so of course one of characters get its on'.

Wing and ASF News

1. SCORPION RE-OPENED,Today the roster changes were made to open Scorpion Squadron again. Scorpion Squadron features two flights of Pirate Fighters (which hopefully will be replaced soon) and one of TIE Defenders and it's designation is Reconnaissance.
The new CMDR is CM The Z, formerly from Cobra, who is reinforced by his Flight Leaders COL Thrawn, formerly Admiral Thrawn, and LT Torak, from Krayt onboard the Intrepid. CM the Z and COL Thrawn are very experienced TIE Corps pilots and I'm sure they'll do well. (And being from Krayt is reference enough in my book too;) ) 'To tell you truth im worried about Ender he should know that Copperhead has always been the best Intrepid squadron'. 'Please welcome our new pilots aboard too'.
2. The ASF Propaganda office needs more members to join its ranks. The prop office was created primarily for recruiting pilots to the ASF, but it has evolved into a graphics, website creation machine. So if you have any pilots interested in graphics or website creation contact me or CM Drako (rswojc@poczta.wp.pl).
3. XWA WOW, Has started this week i want everyone jumping in the cockpit and getting that trigger finger in trim. Remember CMDR to show you're pilots how to fly WoW if they don't know here the battle stats address http://www.battlestats.com/ 'don't forget to sign up'.
4.Sub-Lieutenants, want to be promoted? Then do one of the following simple tasks!
Fill in your INPR
Fly a battle (30 FCHG points gives you a CoB )
Take an IWATS course
Submit EH/TC fiction or graphics.
Assist your Squadron Commander with the squadron's homepage or other activities.
5. Welcome Sub Lt DeathDealer who has join the newly open Scorpion 'lets just hope he wont be dealing any death to me'.
6. CMDRS Fighters please, Mr Ender would like a list of craft you would want in you're squadron but he needs this today other wise you may aswell not answer.
7. New Orders, As wing Commander i would like all squadron reports in by Friday or Saturday it makes it allot easyer to keep on top of things on my end and im guessing you're ends and i want a report every week unless you got a real good reason.

1. New Deux star wars mod, There's a new Star Wars modification starting up for the award winning Deus Ex game. Star Wars Deus Ex: Sins of the Father looks like they're just starting up. Keep their site bookmarked and hope they are more successful than previous Star Wars FPS mods.
2. Tie Corps home page home, CrystalTech has been forced to change the IP Addresses of all their hosted websites, including the TIE Corps website, as they move to a faster internet provider. If you're having problems accessing this homepage on another computer. you should reset your cache on your computer (or proxy server) or reboot your computer.
3. Comm position open, check out the Tie Corps home page for details.
4. CD Website, I would just like to remind everyone that the official website for the Corporate Division is at http://cd.ehonline.org and NOT http://www.corporatedivision.com.

9.Starwars @ E3, After many disappointments over the last few games, LucasArts appears to have stopped being mere SW-Label sell-outs and start producing (or at least hiring good people for producing) good and promising Star Wars games!
Three of the PC games came out as GameSpot's Top 20 "Best of E3 2001":


Jedi Outcast: Jedi Knight II - The FPS sequel starring everyone's favorite Kyle Katarn, who abandons the Force after defeating Jerec in Jedi Knight because he was afraid he'd turn to the Dark Side (wuss...). The new game uses the Quake III engine with kickass lightsaber duels and has the gory damage animation system used in Soldier of Fortune II (which might be toned down, but I hope not). (Estimated release date: Summer 2001 - yah!)
Knights of the Old Republic - This is the RPG game that BioWare is making for LucasArts to take place 4,000 years before Episode I. The gameplay is quite similar to Baldur's Gate, though it will be more action-orientated. (Estimated release date: Winter 2002)
Star Wars Galaxies - Gamespot's Best Game of E3 (Platinum) - We've been following this game in the Newsletters for a little bit. This massively multiplayer online game has an excellent graphics engine that could convince me to upgrade to a GeForce3 and P4 later this year. Little information is provided in this article if you've been following the game development, but the reactions are positive so far and we could have a real winner in our hands in a few months! (Estimated release date: Fall 2001)
10. Sins of the Father close Down, Looks like the Deus Ex mod didn't last very long at all. LucasArts shut them down. Jedi Knight II better be one hell of a damn good game or I elect we storm the LA building with pitchforks and torches.
11. EH Domain updated, Grand Admiral Ronin has updated the EH Imperial News Center with news on the latest command changes and other Star Wars info.
