Wing VI Report # 0 (2001-05-15)

This report was submitted by MAJ Jesseb Skyrauch

Well, its that time of week again. Get ready ;)

Well, some stuff has been going on this past week. Not alot, but a good
chunk. Zeta squadron is up to 5 Squadron Citations now, go them!!

The comp with Wing V is still going on. We need your top scores on the
battle, so fly it once, fly it again, and fly it again to make sure you just
cant squeeze one more point out of it. We need ever single one we can get.

Ra squadron might be opened soon, but there are some new ideas/details to
be worked out on that, but you will be kept posted.

We have new pilots joining the wing and a semi-constant rate. I know of one
or two transfers from the Reserves into Wing VI ;) Welcome to you all.

Communication. This is something we didnt have a problem with, then did,
then didnt, now we do again. So lets complete this little cycle and get
talking again. Heck people, we had a SL QUIT because of all the mail we
produced in a day. Thats pretty active! I would like to use the mailing
lists more. I will be sending my WC Reports to the Wing 6 mailing list to
try and create a bit more communication between us all. Belive it or not, i
LOVE feedback. I want to know what you think of the wing, what can be
improved.. and yes.. i want your opinion if you think I fly like a sissy (
though ill prove you wrong if you own XWA ;P ) anything helps! Your CMDRs
want to see that too! Email them as much as you can, tell them whats going
on, give them ideas, anything. Just stay in contact as OFTEN as you can.

And last but not least, your favorite word in the world... Recruiting..
Yes, we got up to about 31 pilots in April, but now thats dropped back down
to about 27ish. I want to add more pilots to this wing. We are the smallest
on the Sov again, we need to get bigger. Wing V has about 5 pilots up on us,
I think its time that we put them on bottom again eh? Lets start sending
those letters to the cadets, offer them help. LTs, belive it or not, your the
best way to do that. You just went through the Training, you know how it is,
its still freash in your minds. Help them, reach out and get them through
thier training and they will thank you for it. Hopefully by joining your
squad, and giving you a Medal of Instruction ( MoI ) for your efforts. Keep
it up people, lets get bigger ;)

Okay, that wraps it up for me. General news to come.. FA Kramer's Rant...
err Report is at the bottom... Read up!!

SSDSov/Wing VI News:

--The TIE Corps Commander's Award for the month of April goes to Wing II!
Under the leadership of Colonel Inkwolf, the Wing members has shown
themselves to be highly active with large amounts of communication amongst
the Squadrons and many IWATS courses & battles being completed. They recently
triumphed over Wing V in their Wing vs Wing competition, so both myself and
Admiral Havoc agreed that the Wing deserved some recognition!

--CM Mage appointed new CMDR of Shin squadron! Congrats to him!

--According to FA Kramer, I fly like a sissy... But, he has never flown
against me in XWA, and I am deffinatly not a sissy.. just ask LCs Firebird
and Timbal

--Activity all over the Sov is up. Lets keep this up! So get in your TIEs and
fly for the comp with Wing V!!!! TC-TIE 171

--Oh yes, I joined the XWA Ladder compatition.. and right now.. during
writing this email, i curretnly stand at #8 out of 41 pilots Woo!!

TIE Corps Battlegroups Commander Selected

Admiral Jarak's successor as BGCOM has been selected...many congratulations to
Vice Admiral Adrenaline!

I had several applications from some highly qualified Officers, but in the
end, one person really stood out, and I know the right decision has been
made. Congrats Adren!

FA Kermee Retires, VA Darkhill Appointed New Science Officer

Following the recent resignation of FA Kermee as the EH Science Officer, the
Fleet Commander (GA Ronin) and Executive Officer (SA Kawolski) have agreed on
the appointment of VA Darkhill (current CA:SCO) as the new EH Science Officer.

Wing Commanders,
Welcome to another weekly briefing. We're up to, what, five in a row?

Firstly, The Incident. I can't thank you all enough for the support and
loyalty you've shown. SO / FA Nightflyer and HI / HA Paladin are looking
into the situation, however as far as I am concerned the matter is closed.
The few "officers" on the other side, I'm sure, know that we mean business.
A visit from the SO and HCI will do that to one, I'm told.

Secondly, Joe. I forgot to mention this in my last report, but "Joe's a dork
who plays XWA like a sissy." This is taken from an approved BSF, so it must
be true. And he reads PlayScorp . . . what's going on in Wing VI? ;)

Thirdly, Wing II. Inky has informed me that Wing II has received the TCCOM's
Award for April!!! Congratulations, and "W00t!!" (the official Wing II party
word)

Fourthly, Inky. I believe she should be returning from her two week leave.
My thanks to "Roasty" who filled in as A-WC. Back to your pasture with the
other lazy cows, Roasty. ;)

Fifthly, Sov Hunt! Standings are Sequoh - 2, Wolly - 1, Joe - 1. Sequoh in
NOT eligible to win this week's point. Which member of the CS pilots the TIE
Phantom Pestilence? Easy one this week, kids.

Sixthly, Kramer's Korner. By popular request, my review this week goes to
"Practical Magic." I rate it half an ISD. As much as I adore Sandra Bullock
and Nicole Kidman, this movie had no sparkle. Don't bother renting it. :(

Seventhly, Comfy Chair. Once again, Proton sits in glory on the La-Z-WC.
His tusken raider is starting to eye MY chair . . . :\ Sequoh is securing
his lead over Joe (and The Pit) at five pilots up, but I hear plans to reopen
Ra Squadron as XWA are being finalized . . . who will be in The Pit next week?

Eighthly, competitions! I am very impressed by the number of competitions
across the Sov. Wing I just finished a FCHG race and a comp with Wing IV and
are gearing up to take on Wing V, Wings II and V just wrapped up a bout, the
Wing III Survivor Challenge is winding down, Omega is going to sponsor the
"Top Gun Challenge," Wing V's squadrons are taking the IW's Shadow Squadron,
and so on and so forth. My question is, would a Sov Monthly Comp put out by
yours truly be too much?

That wraps it up for me, as always - I await your replies . . . :)

COM / FA Kramer
