Introduction

Welcome, to yet another slightly delayed report... ;) This has been a good week - a lot of new and
old pilots joined us, but activity hasn't been overly great. Well anyway, if we continue to grow at
this rate we might have to think about opening a new squadron soon! :)
Wing III News
------------------
- I'd like to extend a warm welcome to all the new pilots and old friends that have joined our Wing
this week! Welcome to Wing III, SLs Stonewall Jack, Soft Gold, Cazden, TK-7083, LT Alhana Creed and CM
Var Zoraan. A little welcome party is going to take place later on in our cantina...your first drink
will be on me :)
- Earlier this week two promotions happened in Hey Squadron! LCM Josh Popelka recieved a long deserved
promotion to Commander and LT Dan Jenkins was promoted to Lieutenant Commander! Congratulations to
both of you! Keep up the great work :)
- The second round of the Sovereign Top Gun Competition ended! LT Arcanian Stirner won this round in
our Wing and was awarded an IS-BW for his great flying. Now he'll be flying against the winners of the
other Wings in the last round - Good luck!!
- Wing III Survivor Challenge ends! As voting for the winners obviously didn't work, it was on me to
decide the winner. This was done through adding up all scores the three remaining Survivors collected
over all challenges:
CPT Cal Sinis, Beth Squadron, 48.0 points
MAJ Osan'gar, Hey Squadron, 41.5 points
CM Josh Popelka, Hey Squadron, 49.5 points
That means CM Josh Popelka has won the Wing III Survivor Challenge! Congratulations! Feel free to add
"Wing III Survivor : Pilot with most Endurance" to your ID line :). Additional congratulations go to
Cal and Osan'gar as well as all other Survivors for their great work! You have worked hard and now
it's my pleasure to award an IS with Silver Wings to the winner - congratulatios again!
- Our website at http://wing3.cjb.net has been updated! News can now be posted there by the Wing III
CMDRs and me.
- The SovMan competition, for which you had to design the outfit of our local super-hero, ended!
Judging has not been finished so far though.
- A new Wing-wide multi-category competition is in the works! Some proposals have been made on the IRC
meeting and it is currently discussed by the Wing III Flag Officers ;) Stay tuned for more information
on that!
- Black Hawk 2 players needed! BH2 is a turn based strategy game (much like ImpStorm, but with a
completely different ruleset and without online combat) and has currently two free player spots - if
you're interested email me and I'll send you the complete rules...
- ImpStorm II news: The start date has been set to June 25th! So far LT Dufar Jabar has been taken as
a fleet pilot and LT Craydon Bash applied as a tactical officer. Want to take part in this
competition? Check www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/imp_rules.html for a description of the rules and the
Tactical Officer's and Fleet Pilot's duties.
-Wing III meetings are held in #wing_iii on Undernet at 6 pm GMT / 1 pm EST every Sunday! Attend to
them whenever you can! This week was much fun - we had triva, welcomed Var back to Beth, talked about
the new comp and had a lot of fun - check the attatched file for the complete log.
