Wing XIII Report
03.22.01

Yeppers, it's that time of week again :)  Take note of the Competitions section this week, as it has many things in it compared to what's been there lately!

News
  • Looking for an easy way to score a GOE?  Check out the comps section :)
  • This is the last chance for the GWC!  If you can be a steady moderator, please email VA Cyric immediately.  Otherwise, the competition will not run next week, or any time after that.
  • Cyric needs someone to design a patch for the BGCOM Intimidator.  The Intimidator is the best pilot of the three COM Protectors in the ASF and a member of Avenger Elite for the month.  This is determined through a round-robin multiplayer event at one of the regularly scheduled competitions.  Look for it next month, and if you can make a graphic, do it!
  • Nominations have begun for Mr/Miss EH, http://www.wam.umd.edu/~manesh/ehmrmiss2001.htm for details.
  • The Tactical Office is looking for XWA TCCs, if interested apply to crix-madine@home.com.  For information on what the position is, refer to the Tactical Manual.
  • CMDRs, remember to CC Havoc with your reports from now on!
Competitions

Design the EH Logo Contest
That's right, a contest to design the new EH Logo!  The rules are basically that it can contain NO Star Wars copyrighted material, and must prominently display the EH web site URL and follow a pre-designed text format.  Check it out at either of the links above for complete information!  And, best of all, a Grand Order of the Emperor (GOE) for the winner!

ASF Week of War (March) Competition
This comp is half over, but there hasn't been much activity in the first half.  The competition follows a points system; the pilot with the most points at the end of the XWA Week of War (next Friday, March 30th) gets an IS-GW, second and third get IS-SW and IS-BW.
Points are assigned as follows:
  • Combined ranking points for the EH division in the XvT/XWA Weeks of War.  To see this, from the war room click on "Club Scores", select the EH and select "Player Rankings".  Your ranking points are in the left-hand column.  You must have at least 10 matches to be ranked, but you don't have to win a certain amount!
  • One extra point for each non-WoW LoC earned during the comp.
  • One extra point for each SP mission flown during the comp, provided you have at least one MP point.
Additional stipulations:
  • The ship with the highest total points will be assigned the ASF Flagship!  This is extremely important, I strongly encourage everyone to participate in this!
  • The highest scoring COM/WC duo get to modify the nicks and mottos of the losing two ships.  Cheer us on!
Well, the XvT Week of War ends tomorrow, so I'm afraid there isn't much more you can do to get ranking points in that one, but I am disappointed with the turnout in that competition.  We are an XvT Multiplayer ship, we can field more than two competitors in a massive competition like this!  All of you with XWA, get out and fly 10 matches next week!

In case you don't know how to participate in Weeks of War, mail Brucmack and ask!

Important for CMDRs: I need you to collect information on LoCs your pilots have earned since Friday, March 16th.  I will handle the single player tallies.

Operation: Superiority
As mailed by MAJ Death of Avenger Squadron:
Ladies and Gentlemen!

I hereby officially declare the OPERATION: SUPERIORITY as opened! It is a redone version of the former OPERATION:RAMPAGE.  The general description is easy, the Avenger Elite Squadron will challenge ALL open squadrons of the ASF, one after the other. It is up to the CMDR to accept the challenge or to live in the shame of refusing it, unless he got really good reasons why his squad can't participate. The competition will be PURE Multiplayer combat with either XvT or XWA.

The system is quite easy:

For every challenge there will be 10 to 14 days for the matches. Each pilot of a squad SHOULD fly each pilot of the opposing squad, whereby they are just allowed to fly each enemy TWO times (if they do or not is left to their own decision). They will then send the scores (winner, Kills) to the two CMDRs. The squadron with the most matches won will be the winner. The two/three (depends on what we can get out of the TO =P) with the most wins in that squadmatch will get an IS-BW, maybe we can get some more stuff out of it...got to see that when I meet Astatine next time. Thanks to this system there is no more "But you are more than us!" (What is not likely to besaid though =P).

I got a list with the order on Avenger will challenge the squadrons. I will keep them secret, unless about a week to a half week before we challenge a squadron, since I will then contact the CMDR about it. Our first challenged Squadron is Tartarus from the ISD Grey Wolf which accepted the challenge. The competition will start at the 26th of the current month and end at the 5th of april. I will contact the next squadron short before the end.

If there are any questions left, feel free to contact me about it.

Good luck Tartarus!  Others, look forward to your chance to fly the best!

Grey Wolf Bootcamp
As mailed by CM Ayudanter de la Clars of Tartarus Squadron:
Competition: "Greywolf Boot Camp" This competition will be used to improve the quality of pilots on the Greywolf by starting a new form of system. All previous FCHG rankings and achievements will mean nothing in this comp and current activity will mean everything. There will be a new system and the most active pilot will be awarded with Bronze Wings.

This competition is mainly to show neither past or promised future are ever better and more worthy than the present.

In this competition pilots will fly battles/missions and submit them to CMDR's. on April 10, 2001 all the battles and missions will be totalled up and the pilot who has flown the most MISSIONS* will be awarded with Bronze Wings.

This competition is a great way to show that you are active. Remember it isn't wether you win or loose, it is to prove once and for ever all, that you are here to have fun and fly, not just answer e-mails all day!

*Missions = Free missions are counted and battles are divided into the amount of missions and added to the total.

-SALUTE-

Thankyou for your time,
